For demon ability you can "cheat" a little bit. Take a timer and after 1 minute you've entered the houses skip. It is boring but is doing the job. Or even play with some settings to make it easier.

It only hunted a few times and it had a pretty decent hunting speed the one time I could hear it

Depends. Moroi is quick. Is it normal speed as you mean devend then no Moroi. Oni can be ruled out if it is mostly visible. Twins 2 different speeds slower/faster than normal ghost. Demon smudging it and take a timer.

Usually thats the case but it can get slower if the hunt duration is longer because of a bigger map or settings. They do not retain their momentum.

I had a gallu
It was weird, it was absolutely in obambo-gallu-fast twin range, but didn't change speeds at all between hunts.
It stepped in salt before first hunt,
I must have missed the smudge because it was also fast the second hunt.
But when it got incensed by T1 incense, I swear I heard it slow down, then go back to being fast. I think I must have been mistaken?
But I went with gallu, as I am pretty sure I would have gotten a slow hunt from an obambo
Also, it was with all t1 gear, but its 0 evidence 0 sanity, so t1 gear is fine

If you are within 10m of the ghost, if you are moving ghost is fast, or slow if you aren't. If ghost is further than 10m, it's normal speed.
If you hide, you can run in place, i.e just hold down "w" into the corner, you should be able to hear the speed change

- All ghosts can turn breakers off except for the Jinn (exception overloading the breaker with too many lights)
- All ghosts can turn lights on except for the Mare
- All ghosts can turn lights off
- All ghosts can fully close/open a door. The Yurei MUST do this they can not do a partial.
- All ghosts can change rooms except Goryo.
- All ghosts can roam.

Yurei outside of a hunt just make sure it hasn't slightly cracked any doors.

I can never get the objective "Detect a paranormal sound with a parabolic mic" completed.
I turned it on, all sound went quiet on my audio except for the ghost hunting me.

huh. Okay. Because after a Gallu stepped in salt I got like 3 ghost events in the span of a minute or two. And I was doing Nightmare with 2 evidence with Spirit box circled. So I was soooo confused. I took a chance and it ended up being Galu

Just read on Reddit that you have to use the parabolic to pick up sound you can't hear with your normal ears in order to complete the objective.
Stuff like whispers, laughing etc that you pick up with the audio recorder

also i had the worst thing ever happen to me earlier on nell's, the ghost did a polty pile throw, and then 5 seconds later hunted and was a rev, and i was not ready for that at all

correct, when Gallu is exhausted or normal, smudge cruci and salt will advance to the next stage, up to Enraged. Enraged only moves to Exhausted/Weakened after it finishes a hunt
