thats the easiest way to test for gallu is place one salt wait till it walks through it then spam down other salts after a few seconds

it can touch multiple if you spam them on top of each other

i always place 3 piles spread out through its room and once it touches one i will put more salt down after a few seconds

Woodwind is defo the best for fast xp games but if you want a more layed back experience and don't care about truly hardcore xp grinding, I'd recommend willow. The couch is a great spot to loop. Tangle also works

Looping still isn't my strongest suite right now though, and I'm worried that using incense or T3 salt will make it harder for me to tell the ghost due to it slowing or stalling the ghost

Also Willow is good. You can loop it around the couch and is a pretty simple loop to do, as the ghost easily gets caught on the coffee table (this will change with the revamp of course)

I played Nightmare Difficulty, correctly identified ghost, done all 3 objectives, found bone, 5 unique photos, 3 unique recordings, 4/5 unique videos , one was duplicate. And still didn't count for the weekly objective as a Perfect Investigation.

hey, just had a hunt for about 2 minutes, in sunny meadows and was playing with the mirror and it locked the doors and was at 10 on the chart for 2 minutes before stopping for about 23 seconds and then starting again for another 2 ish minutes. I don't think this is normal so just making sure

We obviously can't tell exactly what happened but it's possible the meter was at 10 because of heavy activity before the hunt. Like Hammond said a cursed hunt there is 1:20 so not guess would be that it wasn't counted correctly somehow but that's all guesswork without being there to see what happened

Same thing happens even if they create the room
Once randomly their mike started to work when the map loaded in (but unable to replicate it)

You basically wanna roll the objectives to ones you can do. Like if I see sound recorder I leave.

Go in with cruci, smudge and parabolic. Setup cruci near front desk, soon as door shuts use parabolic to find it.
If it's too far you can reset. Ideally you want deo or revenant. Then obviously setup the rest of what you need with camera etc.

I did mine with T2 equipment, my objs was photo of ghost, video of ghost and parabolic sound.

Does take a few runs and you will have games where you're so close

If you're on steam, right click game, go to properties, and do a game integrity check

It’s just a smaller detection range. So if you get within a certain distance of the ghost and turn on the radio and the ghost still ignores you it’s probably yokai (as long as there’s no LOS obviously)

Alright thanks, what about Mare or Goryo? I usually play the camp woodwind where I just insta loop around the wooden table and benches, how do I test for those? I got 2 Goryos on my session I couldn't properly deduce why.

Not 100% sure but I think it has a chance to not do UV sometimes

Goryo only has the special trait of never changing ghost rooms and for Mare, if you turn a light on near it then it has a chance to turn it off immediately. So turn a light on, wait a second, if nothing happens flick it off and wait 10 seconds before trying again

It helps for a couple tests but you can eventually phase out of using them when you get used to the ranges

Goryo: leave motion sensors in the room, keep an eye on them, if they stop going off, room change or roam, wait a little longer and if still not going off, room change.
Mare: flip light switch on near the ghost, 10 second timer starts, turn it back off before 10 seconds ends, don't turn it on again until 10 seconds is over. then you can repeat. if you keep lights on mare will roam more frequently (nothing more specific than that tho).
Yokai: See if you can lure it to you purely by ear using walkie talkie. yokai will ignore you unless it sees you or is too close, rest of ghosts will be lured.
Yurei: cannot partially move a door, must fully move it open or closed.
Myling: sound recorder (t3 at least) will buzz loudly when the ghost is near. if you hear the buzz before you hear the footsteps, ez myling. works through walls too. some people say to use flashlight but this works good because everything's all by ear, no mixing senses.

Don't play on camp woodwind, play on tanglewood or ridgeview, these tests are way easier this way.
