professional's a good balance, the main thing you'd have to keep in mind is sanity drains at full rate, so you need to be very good at keeping lights on to avoid losing sanity unnecessarily, and keeping specific lights off to allow the ghost to do things (ghost won't throw stuff when lights are on in the room with them, so you won't get emf readings as frequently, making it harder to confirm/rule out EMF 5 evidence)

A single EMF5 interaction will cause a spike of 3, 4, or 5 on the chart. 3 can be something else, so disregard that. Then you're just looking for single jumps of 4-5. BUT: Now that ghosts levitate items, that produces a short EMF reading of its own, then dips down to the normal reading. There's just a good amount of nuance in understanding the activity monitor, such that by the time you understand it, you usually won't need to use it.

I’m getting Client Timeout today, both when creating a lobby and a few minutes into the game, using a wired connection and only in Phasmophobia.
This is the only day this has happened to me.
Since this is happening to a lot of players at the same time, it seems more like a temporary server or routing issue rather than a local problem (firewall, DNS, etc.).
The suggested fixes are helpful in individual cases, but they don’t seem to help today.

i would probably start with having task manager open while you load up the game, check performance tab to see if there are any strange spikes or heavy usage of memory, disk i/o, or cpu usage

yeah games generally shouldn't eat cpu, most of the load should go to the GPU. this leads me to believe that MAYBE the monitor isn't plugged in to the right port. I have the game open to the main menu and my cpu usage isn't exceeding 25% except for discord having its background task spikes

Focus on learning the game. The more you know the smoother levels will be. Play the hardest difficulty you can do reliably. Avoid dying above all else. Once you hit lvl 50 Custom unlocks and you've got tons of options for grinding XP.

if the issue persists, download DDU, put your computer in safe mode and use DDU to remove all AMD software and drivers, should be easy as a few clicks, then boot normally and re-install amd drivers, see what that does

yeah that's one way of uninstalling drivers but it leaves a lot of other stuff. DDU does a FULL uninstall and deletes everything it can relating to AMD/Nvidia software so you can get a fresh start after

yeah its gradual over a 13 second period, which can have breaks, as long as it can see you it will speedup. if it loses you, it will start to slow down but that takes 5x as long as it takes to speed up

grab incense make some distance between where he is hunting from like the room and make sure he has line of sight on you if he speeds up to you then stops it's jinn otherwise it has to be obake (which you can double check by looping him and paying attention to see if he shapeshifts)
