the Wraith will not set it off as it enters the room like Phantom or banshee only as it leaves because it teleported to you not Roam/walk stalk to you.

Charge the UV print on the door

Salt helps by providing UV footprints which can identify where the Ghost is moving and- depending on if you have Tier 3- can be used to be a quick protective barrier during hunts. As for disadvantage, uh... Tier 1 is the worst salt I guess?

That and can help with identifying Wraiths since they are the only Ghost that never steps in salt

I'm confused on what we might've done wrong the other day my friend and I were playing at the diner on intermediate and we couldn't get any readings at all except an emf 2 at the bathroom and it hunted twice and each time it killed one of us and it was a phantom any tips for when that happens in an investigation?

At Intermediate, work on managing your sanity so you don't get hunted. Stay in the light most of the time. Get a crucifix down when you find the ghost room (if you have one). Take sanity meds after the cruci burns or you get a hunt to buy yourself more time.

We just started playing intermediate and it's been a hit or a miss so far

Yeah sanity drain is still slower on Intermediate, and you've got 2.5 minutes of setup time where it drains even slower and the ghost can't hunt. But overall it's not a big step up from amateur. Just get solid on the fundamentals and you'll do fine.

If you used a cursed object, only a T3 crucifix can block it. Hunts that occur naturally can get blocked by any crucifix

I suggest 0 sanity on willow and set up in the living room, as long as it is not the ghost room... you can see the ghost thru the glass doors and listen to the speed without LOS, and you can practice Yokai radio distance and such... it is a lot of fun learning there and you have good ways to gauge distance
