The only advice I can give besides getting good at identifying ghosts from however you can,
You need to be the director of this game you always have to be in control of everything you don't want salt photos messing up your ghost photos you don't put down salt you know.
Anyway what I mean is my favorite way to teach people how to beat apocalypse is to be in control of the hunt if you can get somewhere close-ish and then use your radio to call it over in the last eight maybe 10 Max seconds of the hunt you can get quite a few identifying traits from the hunt without being too dangerous and trying to loop the thing for longer than you would survive at that player speed usually only need to use one smudge
