Incense it and it'll be trapped in its room, setup salt and/or motion sensors at the doors and if it leaves the room during the incense timer it's not a yurei. If it doesn't leave, it might be a yurei but not definitive

it's a complex setup actually, to reduce the odds the ghost randomly chooses to do something other than using its ability. if the breaker's broken, that's one less thing it can do when it's not hunting. if event frequency is low, that's also one less thing it can do, activity level set to high makes it more likely to use ability. 75% sanity with 5% sanity gain from pills, use a t2 pill to get 5 sanity increase to 80% total then go out use monkey paw to wish for activity. this paired with high activity level makes the ghost way more likely to use its ability, and if it's a demon, it'll just start a hunt. also set roaming to lowest setting and room changing to none

mods for the game are completely prohibited, whether it is single or multiplayer since it is against the EULA, and having them can have adverse affects on your game/savefile. If you see someone cheating, you can report them via the in game journal's recent player tab. if u have any evidence you want to add to the report, u can do so by dm-ing @violet nova

Events shut the lights off in the room and close the doors for that room and also is manifested immediatly and possibly walking already.
Hunts DO not shut doors to rooms when starting nor shut off any lights, and on Normal play modes it will start invisible for X amount of seconds (depends on grace period)

firelight goes on top of T2 cruci in ghost room. Keep relighting it. If it burns cruci while candle lit, NOT Onryo. If it blow out candle twice in under 20s, confirmed Onryo

but 2-3 minutes are usually just 1-hunt speedruns where you wouldn't get Onryo.

For the weekly challenge of getting 15 ghost media...is this specific to photos or actual videos of the ghost itself? We had multiple perfect runs last night with unique media and should have easily gotten all 15 if each media type counts. Right now, I'm showing 6/15.

most people usually would do #common-tech-fixes first. cause spirit box is a common issue people run into tbh and ends up being something on their end.
You can always run through Training to test the spirit box for sure.

Tier 3 motion sensors are still buggy. They will not register on camera sometimes. They're lighting up, but the camera will not recognize them, and I"ve been having this problem ever since Chronicle.

The worst part is, this is the last video I need against a Demon, and it just tried to get me while I was running inside, trying to adjust two different motion sensors both sitting in front of two different cameras, trying to get one of them to register something.

So here's a question: if we are gaming with Extended Hunts and the ghost is a Banshee, we get a hunt, the ghost kills its target, does it automatically choose its next target and hunts it? Does it carry on with the hunt as if it were a normal hunt and everyone is fair game? What happens if the new target it choses is above 50% Sanity, does the hunt automatically stop? Or if the target is outside the house and the overall sanity is somehow still above 50%? I know the chances of this happening are really slim, but my group is curious about this one, and it is kind of difficult to test this (FOR SCIENCE) like we have done with other things (like what happens when you light the last candle in the Summoning Circle during a hunt, that was fun finding out!)

Right. So the ghost generally will stay in the ghost room with you, so it wont be able to interact per shade rules. Your experience is the norm for a shade. I'm just saying that if there is an interaction it does not necessarily strike shade off the list as it is possible for the shade model to be in a different room and interacting with things within its range. 95% of the time you'll be right, but its not perfectly reliable either.

YO theres no way!! 3rd try to apoc 3 today and i got deogen with:

1. witness a ghost activity
2. take a photo of ghost
3. detect motion with motion sensor

litrerally set it up and deo spawned in the entrance hallway and i did everything in like a minute with 1 hunt!!

i had a run once with a rev insta hunt from matron office, walk straight up the stairs, and objectives cleanse, hunt, repel and then i also got photo. Making time in the place basically 1 minute and total game time of slightly less than 2min

normal ghosts can now appear to throw several things at the same time and decently far due to this mechanic
