Yo, I'm still kinda confused with Onryo. Not with the 3 blow outs, but with the "cooldowns"

When you first light up a candle, only Onryo can blow it out before 30 seconds, but after that, if in between blown outs there is less than 20 seconds, it CAN'T be Onryo? is it like this?

I get if you grind for something, there is some inherent value there in the form of your time, but I also don't agree these rewards should be grinded for. I liked the old style events when they first did them where you really only needed to do 1 match to get the trophy and it was like "Cool, that was fun. Back to regular gameplay"

Maybe something like getting an unanimated badge for participating in the event and the animated badge and the trophy for meeting a certain amount of goals via gameplay

Communicate with teammates is my #1 tip personally. A lot of people don’t communicate much, and some don’t communicate at all. Take advantage of your radio when 1+ people in your group are away from the room.

Take your time. Pay attention to your surroundings. Turn your volume up so you don’t miss things.

yes, move them around and try a different sensor. had it happen before, swap out the sensor and/or the camera

picking it up and putting it somewhere else then bringing it back is usually enough, this is a more extreme solution

Very true!! It’s an investigation game. Have an investigation. Use what you already know about ghosts to figure out the ghost or rule out others.

For instance, it stepped in salt, so you can mark off wraith since you know it avoids salt.

Before I swapped to PlayStation, I used to play nightmare or custom games with 0 evidence with buddies. It helps hone your game skills a lot faster and you learn the ghosts better.

I leave when the tasks are shit or if it’s too far. I had one right in the foyer area. All tasks were completed immediately. Needed a photo of emf, cruci needed to stop the hunt, and it needed to blow a firelight. It did all three immediately. So I packed my incenses, salt, and photo camera and went to the chapel. It finally hunted after burning all crucis. It slowed down in the salt, I incensed it, snapped a few photos, and then went to incense it again as it crossed my last line of salt. But was too late

I was all mad. Had everything. Just needed to survive at that point. It was a phantom

^ yeah some ghosts have some very specific things so learn that. Like obake can have 6 fingers and will shift once per hunt for one frame

assuming you had full sight of it the entire time, no user error (didnt miss it), and hunt lasted the full way through... then theres still the possibility it shapeshifted into itself

hold out video camera. it'll detect ghost shapeshift even when it does the shapeshift into itself
