I did come up with a neat way of keeping track of dangerous ghosts for the difficulty I play at.
I play with evidence (cus ima noob), I always start with thermo, video and spirit box. If I get no response on spirit box, and no orbs, then there's a chance of demon (100% san), if no spirit box but orbs, then there can be a thaye, (75% san)
If spirit box, I know that I am completely safe until 60% sanity

The candles are basically a crucifix for the Onryo. So if you don't have a crucifix anymore, just keep lighting candles. If there's no candles left to be blown out, the Onryo will start hunting.

What do you guys think is the worst ghost to get in no evidence? I think thaye is the most dangerous generally, but revenant or deo can be more dangerous in the right circumstance. Goryo seems the toughest to figure out

If you think about it (for less than 1 minute), having a ghost in your house would be so cool. Not only do you get free AC in at least one room of your house, you have someone you can talk to if you buy a ouija board and someone who will occasionally prank you to keep things interesting. Now sure, they might do something annoying like turn the breaker off while you are playing league of legends, but I think it's an overall benefit.

if you have less than 16% sanity and light a candle it will be blown out, but if you have less than 16% while lighting the last candle, the ghost will completely skip the being trapped for 5 seconds part and hunt almost instantly

It's a pretty rare interaction, the mannequin needs to be in the ghost room and even then it only happens like once in a 100 runs

But interaction rate is really really low

I've had blood moons where I opened the door and the mannequin was staring right at me through the living room window, or I was checking the kitchen table and it was suddenly the corner

It is supposed to summon the ghost in it for a few seconds, then start a cursed hunt. If the ghost instantly came at you, it's because it was already hunting when you summoned it. If you summon it while it's hunting, it will just teleport to the circle and continue hunting you.
