I can't figure out how to complete the tutorial. I'm stuck in a room where you have to use a black light to find hand prints. I searched everywhere but can't proceed to the next room. I'm a noob and have no idea what I'm doing.

I think you're right now that I think about it, I suppose unless it's a deo, I'm not generally near any light switches when looping ghosts, maybe that's one of those things that I knew in the back of my head but just never thought about?

Oh there are a lot of handprints (and a footprint or two if I recall correctly) so you gotta like, stand at each one until it's fully charged I believe. I got stuck in that room for like 5 minutes before lol

The audio one is so annoying cuz it happens so often and it makes it hard to hear things

Hmm. Played few rounds of Phasmo with my friend yesterday.

Has there been any issues with activity board in car lately or was it just us since the readings were completely untrustworthy what came to hunt durations.

Like the board did show hunt still continuing at least 10 or so seconds longer than it actually did. first I walked out of house even tho, accodring to activity board, hunt was still on. same happened with my friend in next..and so on.

That also caused some misidentifications of ghosts since durations between hunts were messed up. like in one run when duration between hunts were like ~15 seconds according to activity board. ghost were at the top of point hope so we had no time anyway between hunts to get all evidence. rest of hunt times were longer so we went with mimic that had pretended being demon (we had orbs). It ended up being banshee which was weird since it shouldn't have that short gap between hunts?

Same kept happening in all runs (weekly challenge and some professionals once we got those done) so the activity board was next to useless. And yes. I would maybe understand if it affected one of us but we both had same problem. (we've been playing together quite many months, in private lobby. we haven't encounterd this issue before)

Couple of things, the activity board isn't meant to be entirely reliable, whilst there is a formula to it, there is some slight randomness to it.

Hunts aren't the only things that can show activity of 10, a reminder that the activity board is an accumulation of activity rather than showing individual pieces of activity

when I use the tarot cards and I get The Devil card, does it change the ghost room? because I was playing Intermediate and the ghost was in the kitchen, the map was 42 Edgefield Road and I went upstairs to use the terror cards and then I also got the moon card which sets your sanity to 0%, then I went downstairs where I had the 2 crucifix on the groud but the ghost started hunting from the first floor and not the ground floor where the kitchen was

Move all equipment close to the ghost room, preferably near a hiding spot, and just try to gather evidence in between hunts and test for ghosts. I don't think there's any easier way to be honest.

You should split up to have someone getting evidence and someone with crucifixes and smudges for when it starts hunting

It's 5 different configurations. You always have the entrance up to the chapel, then you have one of the 4 wings, or the rooms around the courtyard.

It’s better to have soft evidence that lets you rule out ghosts as opposed to giving them away, so instead of a firelight being blown out too fast being an instant giveaway for an onryo, firelights being blown out slowly could be a sign of an onryo or the ghost just being a dick, while firelights being blown out quickly will surely rule out an onryo

both times we haven't been able to make it to the room to even set up stuff

Find the room first, listening to where the ghost hunts from is useful, throw down both crucis when you find the room, set up evidence and a camera, and then dip and watch from the van 🙂 only evidence you can’t get from the van is freezing temps and ultraviolet

The smudge "timer" on the stats screen is just how long the ig hitbox of the smudge is active.
Effects during hunt are the same for all smudges (5 sec STUN) except for the slow down (t2 slows down, t3 freezes in place)

How to use the Spirit Box is as follows:

1. Activate the Spirit Box and walk around in a dark room. While pressing either local or global voice chat, ask it questions.

2. The Spirit Box's responses are represented through icons and dots; if the X icon or red dot lights up, no response - If the Ghost icon lights up or white dot, the Ghost is speaking.

The room boundaries are pretty terrible. Not a good map if you're going for evidence runs especially if the ghost roams a lot. And most of the hiding spots just dont work
