Just checked on the wiki: If the ghost is a banshee, and the event is a singing event, and the target runs into the ghost, it drains 15% sanity instead of 10%

While Onis do 20% sanity damage to anyone they touch during an event. And all other ghosts do 10%.

Luckily for players playing against a banshee, singing events make it easy to avoid touching the ghost since it just stands there.

The ghost should still lower the temperature around itself. Check with a thermometer to see if you can find one room that's colder than the rest. That is (almost certainly) the ghost room.

yeah, but tbh that's what you should do to ID an Onryo. You just need to know what to look for. Specifically only Onryo can blow out the same candle twice in under 20s. If you get that, it's an Onryo confirmed.

A friend/group helps a lot to divide and conquer. Basically go around with a thermo and maybe a paramic, look for the colder room and listen for sounds. If you're lucky you'll catch a phone ring or best case the ghost turns on a sink

i did two games where i went into every room with thermometer emf and a video camera and got no temp drops, no emf in any room and no orbs

spent 20 minutes looking, double checking every room

Just FYI you can take Challenge mode to any map and you'll get 1x rewards. You need to do it on high school for the $5k, but challenge mode works everywhere

The weather matters. Check the temps before turning on the breaker (assuming you're turning it on). You're not looking for a specific temp, just one that's lower than the other rooms.

-Summoning Circle starts once you turn on all the candles
-Tarot cards is getting the Death Card
-Music Box if the ghost is close to you or you suddenly drop it when playing the music.
-Ouija you can force one by saying Hide n Seek
-Monkey paw most "Wish to see the ghost" "Wish for knowledge"

The Cursed Mirror you can force the cursed hunt by staring it for too long till it breaks, make sure to be in safe spot away from the ghost room, but it will drain your sanity to 0.

Mirror drains sanity quickly so the ghost might try a normal hunt if it drained lot of your sanity, but it didn't break.
