They do not change speeds during hunts other than Los speed up. They each take a turn hunting at their own starting speeds, (+10% or - 10%)

I lost the settings but heres the basics of what i did.
I put activity on high. I put sanity on 75 with 0% drain. And i had constant monkey paw. Walk in. Wish for activity, track 60 seconds. Leave.

The activity wish heightens events. Including demon hunt. And having permanent 75% means you dont get killed by anything else really.

I did it on camp woodwind. And before you go in, scan for ghost orbs on camera so you know if its demon or not. If you do this outside the gate, it doesnt start timer

Gaming PC or not the game isn't 100% optimized per se but there's also a lot of other stuff going on GPU settings Nvidia things like that they can override certain settings and make things worse with the optimization.
Sometimes trying to get too many frames running the game at more than 60 FPS without capping your frames if you have good graphics card can work against it

The first thing you have to try when tech supporting this game is frame capping.
Then it's other crap.
Hell I've seen the game lag just because someone has a controller plugged in
