Basically what it is is that it can have something called a "blank state" where it doesnt copy any ghosts or have any traits for about a minute

Shade can't event if it is in the same room as you. If it is in another room, it can event, teleporting to your room in the process like any other ghost.

Yes you can. If you're in the same room as the ghost and use the voodoo doll and get no interaction, that means Shade.

Though you'd need to be certain you are in the same room as the ghost, as ever, the Shade can step over a room boundary and do interactions.
