If you're on Xbox please try this until they bring out a hotfix update
There's been issues with Xbox users with their voice recognition but they (QA) did post

"Swapping back to Voice Recognition Mode: TEXT for now will help until we are able to get a hotfix out."

If you're on PS5 you could try that as well and see if it helps with your crashing issue since the update
If you would like to see minor updates to this issue if something changes, you can find info from the pinned post in tech support by the QA :)

**If you're having issues with voice recognition and not crashing per say, give this a try **
Potential Console Voice Recognition fix:

• If in a game, exit back to the lobby (changing voice recognition won't work mid-game and can break it)
• If voice recognition is enabled, disable it and apply
• Go back and turn voice recognition on and apply
• Enter a game and test it

Note: VOSK only supports basic questions such as "Where are you?", "How old are you?" and "Are you friendly?" for spirit box and "Where are you?", "Where is the bone?" and other basic questions for ouija board. Yes, this means you cannot ask "Do you like me?" or the "How many pickles" question.

yeah, im the type of person who overanalyzes things so i learn very fast, especially about ghost behavior. i "first started playing" a week ago. now i know 90% of ghost behaviors and im doing insanity runs. almost no evidence... almost :)

the crucifix will prevent hunts when placed in range of where the ghost is, it doesn't stop it from getting to you once it's started. incense helps with that.

The Crucifix is a complex piece of equipment in Phasmophobia that can prevent a Ghost from entering its physical form to attack; exception being Cursed Hunts with Tiers I and II. Drop or place it around the Ghost using the F or G key (default).

The two functions the Crucifix serves are as follows:

Functions

1. Whether on the floor or in your hand, the Crucifix will prevent a Hunt within a small radius. If a Ghost tries to Hunt within that range, it will be stopped and use up a part of the Crucifix.

2. A Crucifix's range is larger when either your Crucifix tier is higher or the Ghost is a Demon, which will prevent Hunts from a larger radius.

- Upon the Crucifix being half-burnt, it has been used once - Fully burnt has been used up entirely.

- The Crucifix is unable to stop Hunts in-progress, and can only prevent them from happening in the first place.```

and double check that you're not using a T3 headgear while trying on T3 spirit box. the night vision negates the red light and makes it seem like you're not getting recognition when you are.

How to use the Spirit Box is as follows:
