I played about 11 round last night after the update. cross-platform as usual. No one in PC (including myself) could use spiritbox, monkey paw, or Ouija board. We can all communicate fine both in proximity chat and radio chat, but that's it.

So have I. I hosted yesterday, so I was looking for people. Got someone from EU going into NA lobbies. The first game had some weird moments, like the person in question randomly dying. After that, the person said they were lagging and wanted to host, so I left and rejoined. Next round was fairly normal, and then it was just me and them after that. We went to Sunny Meadows on 15x, and they went to the wheel of the truck and said "smells like a Raiju, and we just left, then they wanted me to watch their discord call stream. And they literally showed themselves using a cheat engine. Showed that they could force kill themselves, get esp on where the ghost is and what type it is, fly around no clipping, force perfect investigation, and make me guess the right thing without me even circling a ghost. Like, how is that even fun? You're not even playing the game at that point

are you using an AMD graphics card? if so, set anti aliasing to MXAA then change the new MXAA setting under it to 2x or 8x, maybe this helps

I was trying to test for shade with firelights on the tanglewood kitchen counter but now I have a question because I got bamboozled: is tanglewood kitchen counter too high for a ghost to blow out a firelight during a hunt? I've been resetting so many hunts now to test it and none blow out a firelight when placed there but the second I moved them to the floor they blow them out during a hunt.

the third round I got the moon and it finally worked. so I was assuming an intermittent issue.

It's not necessarily true that "if you can see the ghost it can see you" for two reasons -

1. even though the ghost's vision has infinite range, the player's vision actually isn't
2. line of sight is a bit complex but the upshot is that the ghost needs to see a certain amount of your player model... you see out of your eyes [citation needed] so if you're peeking up over a prop you'll probably not be seen

in addition, a lot of things have a much simpler collision model, f.e. the railings on Grafton are opaque for the ghost, but you can definitely see through the planks

After stuff got revamped, my friends started their progress at prestige 1 (recruit) whereas mine stayed at P0 (intern). I know its been a while, and I kind of accepted my fate that Ill have to prestige an extra time to be on that rank, but I recently saw a post saying this is a sync issue and I can report it here to get it fixed? Any idea how Id go about that please 🙂
