My son is learning about writing in the past, present, and future in class right now and this is what he wrote, I had to share it. I've been playing since Phas came out 🥰

It says, " Playing phasmophobia is scary. The ghost can hunt you. That's how it is scary. You can play phasmophobia with friends and family and your cousins and your mom and dad and you can play by yourself and you can play it with your mom's friends. (Page 2 lists the items you can bring to the hunt).

First, you have to get the materials and you have to try to beat the game with the materials or supplies. Next you have to collect the materials and go in the house. When you go in the house, try and find out the ghost with your materials.

Then you use materials in the house. When you find the room where the ghost spawns when it hunts, you will get evidence. Last when you find out what the ghost is then you can leave and when you get to the truck, it closes and you will get lots of money.

The game is scary and fun, and I think you should play too. And lots of people on Earth play it too. It is scary but we all have courage so that's how you play it by having the courage to go inside and figure out what the ghost is with your materials."

Possibly in the future if enough people want one ... The main reason I made the asylum one was because the in game map was soo difficult to decipher/innacurate at the resolution (cam location inaccuracies, lights rough to understand, etc) and there were sooo many rooms that made the ouija board almost useless. That being said it wouldn't take long to do a one for hs, and maybe some of the other large maps when they come out 😅
That... And I find HS a little easier with the phone mechanic and it just being a square, as well as the in game map shows the cams a heck of a lot better than asylum.

ight so what if... ghosts could have differing models depending on their type
as in every ghost type has a roster of possible models of which one gets chosen at random at the start of every round
so a mare might look like a zombie as they do now, but maybe it will also end up looking like this, there is no telling at the start of the round until the first sighting. and due to some of the ghost types sharing the same model alternatives in their roster the encounter of an alternative model is not a definitive hint at the type of the ghost

i will draw up some more ideas but i think some more drastic variation in the ghost models would enrich the experience in the long run

allthou i have heard of people calling a male banshee a banhee. doesnt make too much sense when the folklore is considered however as a creative liberty i would say that the gender of banshees should remain random. otherwise the name of the ghost alone will allow you to rule out one entire ghost type which can make it too easy

my idea for an alternative model for some of the ghost types. by having a ghost hunt by moving on the ceiling or walls the player will not be able to accuratly predict where the ghost will appear because people rarely look at the ceiling when searching for a ghost

@grand mantle I would say you're right. when I first played phasmophobia the shadow models scared me more than the full colored zombie looking ones- even if they shift in and out of being visible- the black shadow was worse

The thing making me hesitate to start a fan site is I'm not confident with the future of this game, not sure how active updates are going to be and whether people's interest will be maintained, so it would be kind of a waste of time

As of today it's been exactly 2 weeks without any update/patches which is kind of unusual given the popularity of the game, so it does have me a little concerned

Mind you I wouldn't blame the dev if he decided that was that and to retire now with the financial success he's had, but if that's the case then it feels odd investing time/effort into it from a fan's standpoint

Also 0 official community management/almost no official communication is very concerning to me

I've been working with the devs of Kult: Divinity Lost for redesigning their creatures like The Gatherer but paid commission work and school be rough af. It's why I'm just sticking to fan work and inspiration. I kind of figured they didn't need help considering the vast amount just two homies accomplished. Shits wild.

Certainly would be neat though considering the scope of the project.

Yes. I found the audio from the game ripped on reddit and used it in the meglo @pine granite Soundfonts i used were the same that Megalovania uses and other instruments.

Some people don’t even have time for trial and error Testing and since some tests require multiple people it’s even harder.

You’re also complaining about basic common knowledge shared which sounds even worse and that stuffs already in the game telling you, but it’s through a inconvenient book that will most likely be updated to look like what people keep sharing.
