I just wanna share my experience:
I'm new to the game but been playing with friends and have watched Insym a long time ago (Before Phasmo).
I ran a solo game today on my first Intermediate Diff and I have 2 evidence in, (UV & Ghost Orb) which leaves me 3 ghost.
Ruling out Hantu cuz temp isn't going lower. I'm stuck to 2 ghost that I have no general idea how they act.

I'm always pussyfooting around cuz from time to time cuz I'd still get scared (I can't even tell if its a ghost activity or a hunt and I just ended up using a smudge) so I decided to just pull out Insym's Ghost Guide video and just AFK'd for 5 mins to pull out any clues from his vid.

Went to the Banshee section of the video and he mentioned that Banshee tends to roam with the player and like the lightbulb of this game it just clicked in me that the ghost DID INFACT went up and breath on my face twice.

I was ecstatic on how fucking amazing a simple behavior can legit rule out what kind of ghost you're dealing with in this game, and thank god for a sweat lord like Insym for making these kinds of guides that share their experience throughout this game cuz holy that was a fun ride.

Can't wait to play more and be a sweat lord myself 😄

One happens everywhere on the map, the other happens in specific location. Again, without information it's hard to say which one it would be. Thing is, it fixed itself later on in the contract when the ghost evented on me. It could be the light limit like Shuee said, but the wierd part is that I didn't see it until after a previous ghost event in the hallway above. Stranger still, when the ghost evented on me the second time in the boy's room, I turned the light back on then headed back to the truck shortly after and noticed it was fixed on the way down.

There's been some discussion about whether the Banshee stalking works across floors now. Here's a Banshee I just had on Point Hope that attempted to stalk me 83 times, but only spent a minute and twenty seconds outside its ghost room, and that includes not only a hunt, but a few times when I saw the ghost walk down the stairs in dots form. I only spent 6 minutes in the ghosts room too, so the majority of those stalk attempts happened while I was on other floors, either running equipment, looking for the bone, or going all the way up to turn the breaker back on. I also never felt it near me while on other floors, like I normally do when I'm being stalked. In fact, I thought it was a Raiju for the first 15 minutes before I finally got UV.

And a little bonus if you're also having trouble finding UV on Point Hope. Some of the more unusual places I've found it.

It's all a matter of timing, and it is harder to do if you are not the host as there may be some lag between you and the host which may result in you seeing the ghost but it actually not being there in the host's game. And of course, if you are using a low tier camera it takes forever between you pressing the button and the camera actually taking the photo.
