I am running a custom version of a Better MC modpack, basically with more mods, that's all.

It's running it on 7 player's computers, but I have a problem with one user.
When he's trying to install Better MC4, his curseforg is spitting "Applying patches 6/6" and error. No logs, no links, no info, modpack is not installed, cannot fix it with "repair modpack" option. Any ideas?

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
11. Click the Options button on the newly added option
12. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Curseforge has nothing to do with servers, Server pack files are created by the dev of the modpacks, not curseofgre. CF is just a client mod manager/project hosting site

Enabling the needed settings per world
click Play in the main menu > Create New > Create New World > On the left scroll down to experiments:

In experiments enable all the Add-On Creators settings:

• Holiday Creator features
• Custom biomes
• Upcoming creator features
• Bata APIS

Installing Addons
Download the files from the CF site, Files will be one of 2 things, Behavior packs (BP) or Resource packs (RP).
Once they are in your downloads folder just double click the file while the main menu is up, should see a import starting... message.

When you go to create the world, just be sure to enable the BP or RP in the settings on the left side of the world creation screen.

I have figured out a problem with the skip launcher feature. If some part of curseforge isn't installed on the C drive, it gets messed up and tries to install things it doesn't need in places it can't access. Here's my logs that show this

This seems to cause it to try to reinstall the game every time you try to launch it, and it gets stuck at trying to install java 21 (even if it is already installed)

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

Hello so I uploaded my modpack and got it approved but I don't know how others are supposed to play it.

I downloaded the pack myself and added it into my instances folder but nothing comes up

I tried it on another device too and came up with the same problem. I am also wondering how to get it on the curseforge app.

is there a way that i can backdate a profile to before i hit repair on it? i modified a modpack by adding a few mods and i had a server profile but when the modpack updated (not wanting to lose everything and still being able to connect to my server) i made a duplicate and then updated and repaired that profile but it then repaired and updated my original profile wiping the data

yes they are a zip archive, I do not use 7zip or anything, I use my launcher to export as a zip it imports fine too so it is definantally formatted correctly

and be launcher I use prism to xport (linux = no curseforge) and on my brothers pc to test I imported and ran it just fine (he uses windows so yes curseforge)

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.

A week ago, I switched to Neoforge for a mod on Minecraft 1.20.6. I wanted to have shaders, (like I always used to have) so I search for some mods and Oculus/ Iris came back lots of time, so I searched it and found this mod. As we see, Neoforge and 1.20.6 are mentionned on the mod so installed it, I load the game (still on Neoforge 1.20.6 but I get this message, which is weird because it's the right version. Do you have any solutions for that?

MCreator is not very recommended since that is not a very reliable tool.

2. Worldgen issues and inconsistency/incoherence with other mods or Minecraft itself.

3. Conflicts causing crashs or breaks in other mods (especially normally coded ones) and Minecraft itself.

4. Is known to stop working, decrease (performance, worldgens, and various other types of problems), and getting conflict with mods working before. In various ways overtime, depending on the mod - basically more you play more you risk to experiment issues.

5. Can create various type of corruptions.
