You do not make a modpack project on curseforge if you're only sharing with a few friends - you can share profiles like this

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Temp folder issue - At times, files or folder can get stuck in the system's 'temp' folder, so they can't be moved into the mods/addons directory. Try opening the 'temp' directory (type %temp% in the system's search bar to locate it), then the 'CF' folder, and delete any folders and files inside it.

Nope. It's like that all the time every time I load it in. It wasn't like that with the newer version of forge but I down-graded due to optifine needing 47.2.18

OK last resort. Every single time I try to open Curseforge it takes literally 5 mins. then once it does it says there is a problem and then asks me to relaunch the app and opens within 2 seconds. trying to update my modpack and im getting a message that the file is a reupload when i added 4 new mods and 1 new resource pack so how is it a reupload. im having an issue where my modded minecraft crashes when i join a server/single player
I tried 2 modpacks (arcane create and all the mods) and got the crash codes 1 and sometimes -107374181. Sometimes im able to join for a few moments but crash afterwards but when i cant make it in the server reports me as joinned. This has been a problem for like a week now but ive been able to manage it cuz the crashes only happened like 10-15 mins in

reinstalling and updateing the mods in the modpack(wasnt able to join with the updated mods)

• GPU (AMD specifically has issues)
• Is the correct GPU used
• Does the system have enough ram
• Is the correct amount of RAM allocated without going over excessively
• Are other things running in the background leading to lack of RAM
• Mods used
• Shaders
• View distance too high
• CPU core speed too low

The list intentionally ambiguous. There is no way to figure out what specifically causes your FPS issues, if there actually are any. Low FPS could simply be a result of the mods chosen in which you would need to trial & error out which are affecting it.

Ok, here's the problem. I haven't done much debugging yet, so there might be an obvious solution I missed.

I've been using CurseForge for quite a while now, and so far I've had basically no problems until now, so I want to start by saying I'm impressed by how reliable it's been for me :)
The current problem: I just restarted my computer, which I've done a lot since I've been using curseforge, but this time when I just tried to open it to launch Minecraft it functioned as if I had never opened it before. It gave me the intro messages to introduce me to the program, and after I skipped through those (already concerned at this point), CurseForge appears to have completely forgotten that I play Minecraft. I no longer have any Minecraft data in the program (the instances folder and all of the data there still exists on my disk though), and when I tried to connect it to that folder again it didn't populate the instances into the app as I was hoping (I wasn't confident that would work, but I was hopeful). So my two questions are: What happened to cause this, so I can avoid it in the future (and also because I'm curious about everything all the time), and how to I get the instances data relinked into the app? I'm hoping I'm not going to have to reimport every modpack by hand one by one, especially since that wouldn't keep the links to the actively updated modpacks because they would be "custom creations" (I don't think I got that term right, but the point is there). I have a lot of modpacks that I would have to add back...

I'm in the process of building a new PC, which I started specfically so I could replace my C drive with a bank of M.2s, which total a much, much larger size.

I accidentally duplicated my Divine Journey 2 profile and when I went to delete one of the duplicates I ended up accidentally deleting the original profile. I thought this was fine, but the duplicate profile wasn't an actual duplicate (no config, mods, or saves) and the original profile wasn't in my recycle bin. I’m running a modpack straight out of the curseforge app, so that it basically opens the Minecraft launcher when I press play, and then I hit play again to open the game itself. I was able to add the essentials mod into the pack on the curseforge app, which was nice, but how do I add a performance mod such as optifine? Since optifine itself isn’t on curseforge, I can’t just add it into the pack from that app. Does anyone know how to get it installed otherwise?

Every time I play it, I first go to the curseforge app and launch it from there, which then takes me to the new launcher installation if that makes sense

Possible reasons for experiencing low FPS

Please check the following list for possible reaons of experiencing low FPS.

• GPU (AMD specifically has issues)
• Is the correct GPU used
• Does the system have enough ram
• Is the correct amount of RAM allocated without going over excessively
• Are other things running in the background leading to lack of RAM
• Mods used
• Shaders
• View distance too high
• CPU core speed too low

The list intentionally ambiguous. There is no way to figure out what specifically causes your FPS issues, if there actually are any. Low FPS could simply be a result of the mods chosen in which you would need to trial & error out which are affecting it.

This is an issue 1.7.10 is starting to get in gereneral. Issue is Newer hardware/gpu drivers are having issues with a game version built for older hardware/gpu drivers.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Timeout & Webclient errors

Timeout/WebClient errors are a result of networking issues with your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

1. Restart your computer
2. Restart your router/modem
3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi
4. Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable

hello i have a small question how do i allocate rams to my server i tired to edit the .bat file but it say to take the ram allocation from a file called "user_jvm_args" which only describe ram locating points like M and G and which is minimum and which is maximum ram and so on but nothing about the line to write to allocate + from what i know in coding these lines doesn't do a thing because they have "#"

Generally you want them to be the same so that mc doesnt abuse the ram.

Same way you would in vanilla mc, If you have the ip for the server hosting your pack you put it in the multiplayer menu

Curseforge uses a copy of the official mc launcher, all you need to do is press play on the modpack you want to play in the CF app > log into the mc launcher with the Microsoft account that (legally) owns the game > then press play
