hi! im working on uploading a pack to curseforge so I can put out updates easier for my friends instead of uploading a new zip every time i add like two mods
the pack was recently rejected due to an incorrect mod version (didn't realize i put the forge version instead of fabric 💀) but that's fixed now
what I don't understand is the second rejection reason, "FileId 4547183 is invalid for modpack 4549683 (EGOS) with mod loader Fabric."
I can't find what this "Fileld 4547183" is anywhere in my pack files, unless its under a different name or something

If it helps, I ran the hash for the cf app itself against virus total. cam back clean. More then likely its just the installer itself that got dinged falsely. As its an installer and installers of any kind can get false positives as they need access to the pc to be able to do anything.

Hi, I am trying to publish a modpack that me and my friends want to play. However, I am having some issues with the description. I looked some of the latest modpacks for ideas and they get away with just listing a couple mods it has and its categories. Meanwhile I cant get it approve if I do something similar to that.

That would be very hard for CF to implement, As that would involve needing to test every mod with ever possible compatibility.

The Addons not working with mods is something on the mod authors side anyways. The Create devs did also say (in their discord) that the new update would break addons and to be patient while addon devs update.

If a mod author pushes an update that may break things its up to them to write proper changelogs and users to then read those changelogs.

In case you haven't figured this out yet:
You could go to the project page and check which mods in your pack depend on it, you can do that through the relations tab and then choosing "Dependents" for the "showing" drop down and "required dependency" for the "dependency type" drop down.
in this case, I know what this mod does and recommend it, it just fixes a bug with Minecraft's health calculation logic. It's very annoying to have to heal yourself back to full when you should be at full health.

I'm actually surprised @signal ridge didn't direct you to that feature, I use it all the time when figuring out what mods are related to what I'm installing

My friend is trying to play a mod pack on curseforge for 1.19.2. Even when the mods are not installed the minecraft launcher returns with error code 1, but this only happens in this version. We have tried completely re-installing the mods, making the profile again, launching 1.19.2 in vanilla and even deleting and re-installing curseforge.

Hi all, sorry if this question is really obvious, but I'm getting this error when I try to launch my Fabric installation through CurseForge:

Replace mod 'Fabric Loader' (fabricloader) 0.14.9 with version 0.14.11 or later.

I don't know where to find fabricloader 0.14.11 as far as I can tell I have the latest version of fabric API installed on curseforge. I'm trying to manually install the latest fabric loader into the mods folder of my curseforge modpack, but that hasn't fixed anything. Any help v much appreciated

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
11. Click the Options button on the newly added option
12. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Does CF use a different GPU than minecraft does by default? Because the exact forge loaded up WITHOUT CF works

The CF app uses its own copy of the mc launcher from mojang. Sometimes computers make the "amazing choice" of using the cpu instead of the gpu for different apps.

Easy fix tho, either with the manual steps in the bot OR can try the tool at the bottom.

Open the program powershell as admin and run the below.

How to install mods in the CurseForge app

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)

How to update your mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
2. Click on the button next to the play button.

4. Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
5. Play!

If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.

Hmm, Seeing network errors, possible your wifi is not stable enough to handle multi-file downloads like modpacks.

Are you able to try a wired connection OR another internet source? Mobile hotspot?

i fixed it i found out at the discord there are safe zones where mobs cant spawn so i fixed it

May need to do it again for those files, sometimes it doesnt stick. Be sure to check the mods folder as well for duplicates
