I guess you are asking because of the task. uhm, I can recommend having feebas as your poke-buddy. if you want to, you could also use rare candies on feebas
turning on adventure sync is also a great way to maximize the walking distance with feebas while he's your buddy

if you are lucky, a local player can trade you some spare feebas which would be +1 candy for the following transfer. every candy counts, eh

if you want to join a certain raid, you need to click on 🧧
it is random draw, not first click get to join the raid

if you get randomly accepted (takes maybe 10 secs), another channel appears

you click on the channel and add the host as friend
if you cannot find his trainer code, you can write $htc (host trainer code). this command gives you his code. also very nice for copy and pasting

after you added him, you should write 'ready' or '$ready'

now, you need to wait until the host writes $go. if he does, go back into your game and wait for the invite. the invite shows itself in an orange at the bottom right

you click on that. then you will see a gym. you decide to participate in a raid by clicking on join raid. this will cost a remote pass (blue)

you do the raid and that's it

Greetings, I joined a remote raid about half an hour ago, host name was Teoec#6402
He hosted the raid about 10 minutes before it ends. We were 6 people in the party but the guy invited three of us on the raid and 2 trainers were below level 30, so we couldn't win the raid. We tagged the guy alot of times and told him to invite us again, he ignored us completely for about 5 minutes, then types "the raid has ended guys". A minute after that the guy hosts another raid on #pokenav-raidsold
The three of us that he invited only once at the beginning lost a remote pass because of that situation, can we please do something about this guy? I mean he obviously deserves a penalty of some short.
If it's possible for you to see party-874 somehow you will have proof that all this has happened

I can understand that most of the people here are new to the system but I can't afford losing a remote pass just for the sake of it. I'm a free to play player and that was the only remote for the week
