The issue with raids is Discord limits the number of channels (raids) we can create as a server - but don't publish what the limits are or when we are reaching them. Both PokeNav and HelpMe create channels, and both are unable to do so when we are being rate limited.

IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF EITHER BOT. And there is nothing we can do.... Once we have 'cooled down' raids will start again. We are doing all we can to mitigate these issues.

Nurse Joy has been performing extremely well and we continue to add new features. The communities have adapted well to Nurse Joy and we currently host around 95% of our raids this way. For new members, Nurse Joy is the only hosting experience they know. Supporting Nurse Joy and PokeNav raids was becoming ever more difficult. With this in mind, we have taken the difficult decision to close all pokeNav channels until further notice

PokeNav Update
For those unaware, Discord made a change in August that restricted PokeNav to creating 500 raids a day - this servers hosts 2500+ per day on average (some days are 10k+). PokeNav are still working on a queue system that will allow it to host thousand's of raids per day again.

NEW RAID COMMANDS FOR NURSE JOY LOBBIES!!!

/htc - Get trainer-code of the host.
/mi - optional: limit_to Get the in-game names of the trainers in the raid.
/members - List the members currently in the raid (includes in-game names).
/ready - Set your status to ready.
/not-ready Set your status to not ready.
/go - Tags the raid party to go into the raid lobby.
/reset - Reset the raid status and unlock it.
/kick - Kick trainer from the raid.
/more - Send a message to the announcement channel to ask more help.
/assist - Ask for assistance to a raid by manually posting it in a channel. (set to staff-only).
/add-member - user Adds a user to the raid.
/ping - message Sends a message tagging the entire raid party.
/backout - Ask the raid party to back out of the raid.
/time-remaining - Show the remaining time (and expiration date) of the raid lobby.
/extend - optional: minutes Extend the time of the raid lobby to prevent it from closing.

Almost 3 years ago (October 2020) I have transformed this, at the time local, server into an all levels remote raids server. All members below level 30 were automatically referred to this server, hence why it could grow so quickly.

Soon @neat thorn became an admin (late 2020) and he took a leading role. Without Dave, this server wouldn’t be as large and successful as it is today

I have always enjoyed working together here, however, I sadly no longer feel a connection 😔

I have decided to step down as staff member at the end of this month. The server will have reached 300,000+ members by then. It’s time for me to move on!

This can be due to three reasons.

**1. **You have to clear your cache. Follow these instructions:
App settings > Advanced > turn on developer mode > press back > scroll down > clear cache

**2. **You need to select “show all channels” in your settings for this server

3. You need to verify with our Nio bot by typing /verify in #profile-setup

AR Photo competition
It was a lot of fun today (Tuesday) looking back through nearly a months worth of AR photos, it really made us smile. We shortlisted the photos, then the server staff voted for the winner. There was a clear favourite of ours, and based on the reactions for this photo, you clearly loved it too.

Updates to the PokeNav bot (that we use for raiding)

1 - You can no longer leave raids after $go is used - this will improve bot responsiveness (it also means the leader board will update correctly 🙂 ). When the raid is complete, the host will end the lobby. You can move to another channel if you wish.

2 - We use screenshot raiding here (upload an image of the raid screen to the announcement channel) - you can now send the message with raid modifiers (such as mm:10, "su: Lobby 2" ect)

3 - We have enabled cheat sheets in raid channels for reference please make sure you are at least using $go

4 - In line with the above, and based on member feedback, we will start removing members ability to host where basic commands are not used, or who 'vanish' after posting a raid. If you follow the basics outlined in #how-to-remote-raid you are awesome - thank you for hosting🙂

5 - Please do not expect weather boosted raids (leaving channels when not boosted). This is disruptive and is less important than IV's to most players

$more can be used (2+ minutes after the raid is being created) by the host (or a staff member) to bump the raid in the announce channel if not enough participants have joined. This is to avoid hosts closing and re-creating the raid.

You use $more in the raid channel (your lobby) that PokeNav created for your raid.

The following changes are being applied:
• The cooldown of $ prefix raids (those created any other way besides /raid) are reduced to 7 / minute per server.
• The bot will limit its response to ready or $ready until everyone is ready. The bot will still respond to /ready.
