Generally the latter of what you said with the low attack/ high defense and hp, though there are a few exceptions. Generally if it takes between 256-296 XL’s and stays below, at, or slightly above 2500 range, then a Hundo is viable (usable Hundo examples in UL are Cradily, Turtinator, Umbreon, Talonflame, and Tinkaton)

I’ve actually been running a similar team lately. Been using Shelgon/ Gourgeist/ Aegislash and it pretty fun. Aegislash is so difficult to use 😅

Also been swapping Gourgeist with Shadow Drapion depending on how many wiggles or furrets I see too. Aegislash is good, just team synergy is tricky. Most team recs are Aegislash/ double weak to fairy and I don’t like those since Tink, wiggles,flower, and kiss are so rampant right now.

I really need some tips. What is a great team for going from ace to vetran in GL?

I’d advise playing with mons you are comfortable with and can create a solid core. For instance, Jeli/tink is a solid core for GL and even UL atm and has pretty good synergy. Definitely review pvpoke and watch some YouTubers/streams and watch what they use. There is no one-best team out there. Also wanna add that once you find a team, definitely stick with that one team instead of switching back and forth with teams. This allows you to understand matchups and learn how to play around certain teams and scenarios. And finally, learn to count moves, the ability to count moves and learn to swap/bait/catch are what separate ace players and veteran players. Hope this helps. Ideally any team comp can work, just gotta play and learn from experience.

For an example: I ran Tink/ludicolo/Hakamo-o this past GL rotation and got my butt handed to me at first, but I ended up figuring out how to play around with the team and climbed +200 points to get past Vet. Experience and learning game mechanics is what’s gonna get you the farthest with elo gains.

When you go from rank 19 to 20, it’s not counted as the set that gives you ace. Play one set when you reach rank 20 and it’ll give you the ace rank if you are over 2000 elo. This is normal and happens to all accounts.

Also with this, each game deviates roughly 13-18 points per match, so if you go 5-0 you may gain anywhere between 72-78 elo and a 4-1 can fetch roughly 42-47 elo. Nah if you have starting elo above 2000 and it stays above that elo directly after your set, no matter the outcome, it’ll still grant you Ace. The only time it won’t is if you fall below that 2000 on the set after reaching rank 20 or if your elo after that set isn’t at 2000.

Also, you don’t have to be below Ace to get starting elo. If you see what your starting elo is (2151). The set after achieving rank 20 will automatically put you in elo since the most you can lose is 75ish points on an 0-5.

The only difference between yours and a Hundo Marsh is that yours only ties Metagross in the zeros. All other scenarios for the 15/14/13 is the exact same as the Hundo. Up to you though, but it only changes 1 minor outcome if you GBC it.

Just take it one game at a time and take breaks in between sets The most important thing is learning one team and sticking with it. Of course game mechanics play a part too but just gotta stay patient and recognize game patterns. You’ll definitely get there for sure!
