okay, so the way it goes is you start the battle. You immediately switch to vbm, click her weapon active twice, and then jump attack weapon active. You have to make sure it actually hits the enemy, ideally the moment the spawn. Her hammer will slam into the ground, giving you stellar drain, which is how you know you did it right, and there should also be an orange ring with a 3 inside of it

then you qte in Badum, and do her combo attack by holding attack or jumping and holding attack for stellar drain. then you qte in HLE. You should have 150+ SP, so you hold ultimate all the way. Then you weapon active, hold ult again,

and then do basic attacks until you have 150 sp. After about 4 hold ults, the orange circle with a 3 in it will be almost all gone. If your stellar outburst is ready or almost ready, you can use that (WA WA Hold ult, qte badum, enhanced weapon active ult, qte HLE, WA WA Hold Ult finisher), otherwise you go back to VBM to jump attack weapon active

and then Badum, and then HLE again

biggest difference is that you only need to do badum combo once per stellar outburst, otherwise you can just do her qte and then immediately qte hle

Yeah rotations in this game can get a bit complicated. But they really increase your damage

because that way you have all your buffs up all the time, instead of only some of them up sometimes

main difference is you're using badum combo instead of rc combo

the important thing for outside of stellar outburst is to keep an eye on the orange circle with a three inside of it and go back out to VBM before it wears off

because if it wears off you need to do wa wa jump attack wa instead of just jump attack wa, and that wasted time

For f2P it is not reccomended because an F2P player has enough to pick up almost every new release + weapon, but no more than that

biggest thoughts are

• If you like Badum / Sparkle, they aren't worth pulling any more, so your new account probably won't get them
• If you are otherwise sentamentally attached to the account, it should be readily possible to unbrick
• A newbie account will still be stronger meta wise in a couple of patches, most likely
• If you want to pull next patch valkyrie a new account can and this one probably can't

essentially, depends on how attached you are to it sentamentally

what sort of personal interest do you have with coming back to the game? Advices generally default to meta because that's how you get significantly more crystals from abyss.

meta wise if you're sticking with the account i rather you spend your crystals on new releases instead. The long term mileage you get from new new valk and weapons together will prob exceed the value of catching up with weapons of your older releases at this point.

To give some idea, Sparkle was released last year. She still has some use cases but are alot more rare now and isn't as useful.

to beat abyss

beat is a strange word to use. Abyss isn't something you can just clear at a late point in the game.

If/once you reach captain level 81 and above (breakthrough) abyss changes from qmanifold to superstring

in superstring you are grouped with other players of similar standings to you, and compete against them for high scores on killing the boss as early as possible

so you can clear but if you clear slower than other people, you won't succeed/progress higher in abyss

this is why the meta is notable. You want to make sure you build your account properly to match and outperform other people. Loosely speaking, regularly playing the game to get crystals and then aiming for new releases (valk and weapon together only) are the ways to do this

abyss also constantly changes across many situations so you can't just build one team to handle all of it either.

The best specific characters changes from abyss cycle to abyss cycle. That's how they maintain a wide cast in this game

but you don't want to spend a huge sum investing into one best character for one cycle that doesn't show up often

this is why the general advice is to focus more on latest releases where they generally have the longevity to cover many situations over the long term

nowadays all modern teams are astral ring teams but the only two gacha valks you have for that are sparkle and badum as stated earlier

every gacha astral ring valk has one dps function (denoted by their ring type), and can have multiple support roles (denoted by their tags). We can talk more about this later

the main idea is any new gacha valk has multiple purposes depending on how they are placed in a team, for multiple different kinds of teams

however as QT said earlier without their signature weapons, you cannot use them for DPS purposes. You generally lose 30-40% personal damage with the next best alternative.

in some cases, the signature also has important utility functions for the valkyrie too. Sparkle in particular loses some critical purposes she otherwise fulfills from not having it (collapsing quantum enemies)

if the valk doesn't loses anything too major then you can maybe still appreciate them as a support for other teams because supports don't really contribute large damage

Save your crystals for now and wait until next patch for the new release. Aim to get both valkyrie and her signature weapon together.

Signature weaps are important for

• 30-40% of the character's personal damage
• sometimes they can have important utility for the character

note that all newer characters can function as a dps or a support depending on how they are placed in a team

Normally advice we give here are meta focused because that's how you get notably more crystals from abyss, competing against other players. The crystals you gain are limited so the way to achieve this long term are focusing only on latest releases. Pulling reruns (backpulling) is almost always not recommended.

You can still appreciate the theresa you have now esp at the low cost you spent on her but going forward, try to refrain pulling as you did.

for now do try to get 15k if you reasonably can for the 100 crystals. You don't need to full clear the middle stages for this. Each stage is worth 6k points so you can skimp on a total of 3k points on either or across both middle stages for it.

Last time iirc you got 12k at least which got you 50 crystals total. As long as you at least get past fringe stage, I think you'll profit slightly.

Promote into RL + Demote from RL with only fringe cleared = 500 + 345 = 845

Retain A3 twice = 420+420 = 840

The math is very similar for A3 vs A2 too. I didn't check any other tiers

What is "Disturbance"

Disturbance (found at the top right in the Abyss menu) is a measurement of how strong the enemies from Abyss will be in Superstring dimension (in Q-Manifold it's called Dimension). There's no information on how it is exactly calculated, but the following are known:

• According to the in-game Rules:
  • Disturbance is different for each rank group (tiers) of Abyss (e.g. Sinful 2, Sinful 3, Agony 1... Red Lotus, etc).
  • Disturbance is based on the average scores for each rank group in one cycle of Abyss. The higher the average, the higher the next cycle's Disturbance will be for that group.
  • All brackets within one rank group will have the same Disturbance.
  • Disturbance does not change during an ongoing Abyss cycle. It only changes between each cycle.
  • Even though there's no official tracking of how the disturbance has increased over the time, you can check Sheepilah's spreadsheet where it's been tracked across servers and tiers in here
• Disturbance does not affect your Valkyries directly. However, it does affect the Resistance of enemies which may result in changing your Valkyrie's damage.

A low base atk valk will prob observe more of a proportional increase from the same flat amount of atk as opposed to a high base atk valk

a valk with only base 100 atk getting 40 atk

vs

a valk with base 1000 atk getting 40 atk

and across different fights and cycles, you're using different valks

anyway it's not like dist affects actual atk. I get that you were being loose about the concept

• asterite shop, war treasury shop, expeditions are further ways to farm and acquire valkyries. None of these have high meta uses and should be invested only cheaply. Don't spend crystals, source prisms, honkai shards on them
• dorm banner is full of completely outdated valks too. Do not spend crystals here at all. We do get free dorm only tickets but those should only be spent during spending events (20 per spending event)

cant beat stage 6 on universal mirages just yet, im doing alright in q manifold, been trying elysian realm, so far i've been been able to beat the memorial arena bosses it lets me fight, dont have access to deep archives just yet

definitely clear MA when you can. Don't worry about how well you score. The ranking rewards there aren't important.

Keep in mind ER has a weekly reward that refreshes from deep sequences. At worst VBm coralie at just S rank with her signature weapon and 3pc Wang Zhaojun can handle abstienence 2.25x difficulty for max crystals weekly.

the main goal early on is to save up crystals and important materials until you can afford a new gacha valk release (both valk and sig weapon together)

VBs helia is farmable from asterite shop but her value and uses aren't as great. You don't get her weapon for free either at this point.

anyway we're bringing this topic alot so let me also say

Signature weapons in this game are very important because they often are

• 30-40% of the valk's personal damage (keep in mind all gacha astral ring valks can now behave as a dps or a support depending on how they are placed in the team. Any new gacha valk you get are multifunctional like that)
• may have important utility for their gameplay flow locked behind their weapon

so when planning to spend crystals, do not compromise for partial valk only or weapon only. Make sure you have enough to get both together

and alternatives will generally pale greatly while being impractically costly. Just stick with maxed default weapons or non-upgraded foundry craftables (do not upgrade them past 35/35)

there can be some rare exceptions to any of these that i say but that's the general idea

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.
• Skipped the weapon and do not intend to craft the Stigmata set, you have no urgent reason to open the box, so keep it.

Regarding Bronya: N-EX, you can open the box once you own T or B and use it to finish TB. M is not BiS on SW.

General Item Usage

Hello, Captain! Ai-chan is here to explain why keeping option boxes is sometimes the best choice.

If you immediately select an option from a box without actually needing what it provides, you may put yourself at a disadvantage by wasting a source of materials that you fall short of later on.

This applies to almost every option box such as:

• Stigma Option boxes
• Material Option boxes
• Blazing Assembly Option (ELF Option box)
  • ELF Part Option boxes
• Weapon Option boxes (Divine Key or Beginner Weapon Option box)

Before selecting something from a selection box, think twice if you actually need what is offered and if you really need it right now!
-# Opening boxes is justified if you need those materials to upgrade gear and achieve a higher score in the current cycle of competitive gamemodes. Ask our Professors if you think you have an exceptional case!

but if you're just rushing to have fun, you can take 7t. The odds of being punished for this choice is prob low

That is pretty normal when you don't have good coverage particularly in the back half of the patch where all the older matchups start showing up.

Second phase you end up not parrying enough since you are on HLE when the transition happens and ranged attacks can't parry. You therefore don't get the debuff and your damage is terrible. Also don't use enhanced WA on FWS when she isn't main dps.
