generally speaking yes, but it can also be weather dependant, for example ps in the last weather (symphony) was pretty useless, but in general ps offers more value to you on paper since she covers some very run deciding niches such as hitcount and bleed

as I recommended to the other person earlier, you can hold your carnival pulls until the next ps/lp round before making a decision to see which would offer you better answers in abyss

if you cant make a decision by then, id personally pull ps

so the idea is to set up supporting effects across both valks, then have the dps attack while those support effects are up. There can be more nuances but that can get you started for now

once the effects are expired, repeat the cycle

alot of effects may be refreshed by starting stellar outburst too

in the case of grail, something else you can make use of is how a symbiosis support ult can refresh swap cooldowns of the leader

so HLE > Kiana ult > immediately QTE back to HLE

but that's a bit more advanced

yeah playing with different ring types is just very different

as for outburst, start with hle, do her weapon twice > hold ult. Then you can swap to kiana (symbiosis support) and use her ult and swap back

i don't remember if kiana needed to do anything extra to get her team sp/shining trace actually

so you'll have to look into that sorry

but anyway after swaping back > weapon two times > ult > and then you can be a bit more freeformed with the remaining time. If you want to make the most of outburst you can basic attack before using the finisher

So for any astral ring team, each valk start with something called stellar drain. The meaning of the name is pointless. Just think of it as a single invisible stack you consume per valk on the team.

The way this is consumed depends on the character but usually it's with a big animation move (vita does her full meter hold attack in mech mode. Kiana is a bit exceptional and most of the time we just do her hold attack and not her full meter attack)

the amount can depend. usually it's like 20. Vita restores a bit more with specific conditions but since she isn't matching in ring type she might restore less than usual too.

just for the future make sure that you don't pull a valk without their weapon, otherwise my current recommendation would probably be to wait until the banner is here and then ask again if it'd be more worth to get fdd's weapon or the 8.6 valk ( it'll probably end up to be the latter). In regards to HoRb dkey it's rather niche and not really something to consider if you're not aiming for nirvana imo, reasons being that she only has 2 tags

• domain resonance
  domain resonance is quite a common tag by now with many valks having it due to WS just being the oldest ring and HoRB isnt a crazy improvement in that ring, she's a solid support but not a major upgrade compared to other already existing domain resonance units like fws or hofi for example
• symbioses
  while symbioses is a rather rare tag since the ring is pretty new she's a mediocre support in that ring from what i've heard, she also hasnt had any BiS use cases in GoI until now

also HoRb is an old character meaning that you'd also be behind in ranks which makes competing against other players even harder, s0 is probably enough for RL but in nirvana s2-ss is definitely more common

no it wouldnt really change a lot, you may also consider getting PS over badum but both are fine options tbh, if you end up getting HoRb + her dkey through the box badum would also gain the benefit that she's a relatively good WS support so that would maybe effect the decision processes, otherwise give both the badum and PS section a read to get more of an understanding for what both of them provide

regarding HoRb just make sure you really can guarantee the dkey before buying the box so you don't end up basically wasting money, and again make sure to spend responsibly the box is quite expensive for what you get
