yeah so weapons are significant because

• they offer a lot of personal damage (20% or even 60% depending on the specific case. Usually moreso 25%?). Again you're contesting against other players eventually so that's a huge loss if you don't have it.
• some of them may offer more specific mechanics and gimmicks that can be notable for specific scenarios (sparkle's quantum layer collapse), or even very generally as part of the valk's gameplay flow (thelema's time stop)

if you only seek to collect valks without really playing them well, or if you got an old valk for free without her weapon then i would more largely say it's fine to skip weapons

some older but still recent valks can still be usable for support without her signature weapon

(not thelema, but maybe PS Sushang if you get lucky on her in carnival with the free carnival tickets)

First priority is to save up crystals and supply cards for now until you have enough to pull for a new release valk and weapon.

Your current inability to support PAWS well is natural. They didn't give us any farmable support for newer ring types making it awkward for newer/returning players until they roll 2 or 3 newer gacha valks.

In the meantime it'll be a slough but work with what you have the best you can without spending anything too precious on older stuff. Mainly avoid spending honkai shards and source prisms (on PAWS it's ok).

In the meantime you can use Valkyrie Blastmetal Coralie (VBm) and Valkyrie Boltstorm Helia (VBs) to support PAWS. This won't help your sp issue though.

VBs Helia isn't a high priority and can be left at A rank (doesn't see much use), but VBm can see a fair amount of use if you're lacking or if you pick up an RoO valk down the line, so continue working on her.

• Weapon is from early part 2 story if you haven't gotten it yet.
• Rank up via asterite shop
• if you don't already have her stigmatas, then it's arguable to craft them or not. I rather you try to use other things but if you really need it, and have over 21 prisms, then you can spend 6 of them to craft the full 3pc set in foundry. Do not upgrade any of them (this cost more prisms)

i'm not really sure what's in q-manifold atm (it can differ from superstring for higher players) so you may need to elaborate more there

• PAWS with VBm and VBs as said earlier
• if you want something simpler, then PAWS with Terminal Aide (Prometheus) and Sugary Starburst (Shigure Kira). All supports here can stay off field. Turn off kira's envoy of paradise skill.
• PAWS with FoV and one of VBm, RC, TA, Kira
• if you don't have much or just weak support stuff, then this team aims to have dual dps rather than dual support.

you're free to try it but just for foundational concepts, you don't normally do this

for underdeveloped accounts that concept can be wrong because the support effects are too weak

but also with how i rotated in my video you're not staying on VBm for very long

anyway if you use shigure kira with envoy off, then you can give her Gluttony T and Fu hua musician MB

VBm in particular is a pretty complicated valk with how many different effects she has from different actions

Plenty of times players I'm not familiar with don't show me everything so i try to be thorough.

and yeah it's no big deal really but we can see what we can do for now since it doesn't cost anything to enter and try, unless you don't want to spend time doing so.

Main thing i would note here is that the weather is a separate 40% modifier for attacking enemies with bleed status. I doubt VBs in the pins is offering as much so maybe drop her for SI. QTE her in whenever you need to apply bleed. (maybe VBm SI > FDD > repeat with VBm qte off. QTE incurs a longer swap cd)

if you don't have SI (griseo/starry impressions), she is purchasable from asterite shop

@spiral badge So to explain this ER weather effect:

• It takes your location's weather and temperature readings in Celsius and uses it as the default temperature in Elysian Realm when you start a run. You can read it out in advance from your Ai-phone in the main menu.

• First time when enemies are debuffed = Temperature +2°C

• Every debuff after first = +0.02°C

• The first time enemies are ignited = +0.5°C, this is capped to a possible +20°C per floor.

• 40°C = 0.2% Total DMG taken by enemies for each 1°C increase

• 100°C & Valk's current HP >20% = you lose 10% max HP per second, meaning to empower Kalpas's (Decimation) signets that give you more strength based on how much HP you have lost.

The buff in the second screenshot is meant to give you a fixed starting temperature with a fitting weather for your chosen Valkyrie. Non-lite runs will start on these 28°C while Lite runs will always start on 100°C with this option. Realtime weathers scale similarly.

As you can see from above, preventing a temperature increase is basically impossible, because there's way too many buffs in this gamemode that will apply some kind of debuff. You can however avoid valkyries that provide ignite to rule out the most significant temperature increaser.

After further testing I did this morning, Sparkle does apply ignite on both of her builds no matter what, so it would be better for you to either use valks that don't apply it at all (like Valkyrie Blastmetal/VBm) or make sure to read Sparkle's and your AstralOp's skills to know what actions can heal you (also see the ER Character Adjustments for her in the final screenshot). Also avoid overusing supports like Blood Rose that drain your health, because low hp can and will screw you over if a hard boss fight is upcoming and you're unable to dodge attacks or abuse moves and skill that make you invincible.

There is an implied hidden mechanic for the final boss as well, but it's not necessary to follow through to comfortably clear. The middle parts of ER are way more stressful and harder than the end. If you want to know regardless: ||Get a Kevin (Deliverance) core (nexus) signet and every enhancements for this core.|| This will || turn the temperature for the final floor before the Flamechasers into subzero negatives, making the entire fight laughably easy. || You should only go for this though if your valk can actually use ||Kevin's effects, which are always Ult based.||

A final side note: The type of weathers also have effects, but I'm not entirely sure about the full extend of those because I couldn't find a written list of what they'll do and I wouldn't want to misguide you based on non-recorded gameplay experience where I'm not 100% sure that my assumptions are accurate.

u need to activate it first. usually Schicksal HQ map is auto activated for 1 week after u reach lvl50 iirc

after 1 week u need to activate the OW map manually with ur one-per-week OW ticket (pick among Samsara, HQ, APHO1 and APHO2)

so if u passed the auto-activated week and had chosen another OW map this week, u need to wait for next week

Her more notable specific bosses are possibly Raven, HoV, Huodou, or Beast of Sacrifice (type counter that HoHE doesn't cover well) but idk how it would be with HLE nowadays. Those specific fights dont' really show up either since thele has been losing emphasis from age.
