then if you're still trying to make even a dent in his hp he starts conjuring a big massive ball that takes out half of your hp if you happen to whiff your evade

and to add insult to injury after breaking his shield he starts a game of helicopter with laser poles that make you fall upwards and drain your hp while prompting you to attack the shield that just makes you fall again

and personal preference plays a strong part too. The objective is fun after all

main thing i would stress is don't put yourself in a scenario where you have valk only or weapon only and not both when the banner goes away

it's pretty uphill to replan from there, and you may even opt to cut losses on that investment at that point

the issue is this game is not like the other hoyo games, its very focused on the pvpve aspect (abyss and arena) which NEEDS gacha to actually get good rankings for better rewards

so if your goal is to get a good ranking gachaless, id suggest rethinking, especially when you are playing in a more competitive region (sea)

In regards to what you should do with your valks fdd/Vbs/vbm should get you through most of the content for now, if you can't use p2 valks your HoT should get you through a lot of early content

It's pretty common to need to go to 76-90 and therefore it should be expected/planned for.

beware HI3 is a game where the signature weapon (60 more pulls at worst) is significant and often not negotiable for the meta, and the meta matters for crystal income from abyss

FDD's banner is about to expire iirc. If that's who you're rolling for, you may want to cut losses here and let the pity transfer so you can better afford to the get the next patch's new valk with her weapon together instead.

FDD's weapon will rerun in weeks 5-6 of next patch as per the calendar in #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins. It'll be debatable if you should still pursue it by then however but ask again when it's around.

For now if you already have FDD, get what you can and try to get the weapon. Pity will carry over. Note this is not a normal recommendation.

In the future try to be mindful of your budget and the remaining time on a banner to get both valk and weapon together before they go away

if you don't get FDD's weapon then use VBm's weapon in the meantime on her. You get this for free early in part 2's story.

There are many reasons to not build pity. It's not worth it in 99% of situations.

although if you are highly sensitive to even light mentions and spoilers and want to prioritize story as much as possible then...

• VBm fragments is farmable from asterite shop but unlocking her with the card is better value iirc (or maybe you already got fragments from your gacha pulling too)
• for weapon i suppose you can use the foundry craftable that costs 150 AE imaginons. You can level it to 35/35 but do not upgrade its level cap. This is only a temporary weapon you'll look to trash later and upgrading it will reduce the efficiency of doing so.

I'm not the best to ask but if you only have FDD with her weapon, i very loosely would expect agony 1 or 2 for you assuming you build and play to the best you affordably can for now (check pins for mango's guide).

You can see from the first column that agony 1 is 280 crystals per cycle after breakthrough. Agony in masters is 260 crystals.

But as the faq for breakthrough says, this is irreversible and there can be non meta but still valid reasons for not breaking through

some people prefer the game at masters and will stay there forever. Others may not be ready to handle and see all the changes yet despite the benefits

The idea of preparing your account more before breaking through can have rare valid exceptions but for the most part is a misconception

i didn't mean all the time. There can be leniency too. The reason why for any of this is because advancing through abyss in exalted is relative to other players around you

so before in masters, you just had to clear the boss right? In exalted you're competing against other players for high scores

if you're grouped with many others that are all sweating, then the minimum to stay/advance a tier becomes naturally harder and higher.

if you're grouped with a bunch of people who don't play well then naturally it becomes easier

no need to get the maximum score you can if taking it easy still leaves you ahead. Similarly no need to maximize if even your highest potential play is still too far behind too.

But with how dynamic it is, there can be scenarios where you can be a few or even a single point off. This becomes more common the higher you go because better players have proper teams and play properly too.

this boss is a psychic type and has moves that can hurt if your valk doesn't really have much iframes. I'm not really sure if FDD is in danger of dying though. It was mainly an issue for senadina who has long vulnerable animations

FDD will be type disadvantaged though but maybe this is still fine for agony. Again I'm not the best to ask

if you really have to wait, i would consider breaking through a week from now at least, so you show up for ignite andrius which is what favors FDD

i am trying to read the story from the reading guide but im still in the beginning and its confusing since it keeps jumping between in game main story and manga and in game side story and different povs. does it get more manageable later

depends how much of the affix mats you have, if not much just do basic rolls until you get 2 decent lines (any 2 lines of the following for badum: sd type, pistols, high roll flat atk, like 15-20 atk is decent enough), if you are trying to go all out for badum, do basic rolls until you get a really good line, lock the good line, and reroll until you get another good line
keep in mind badum dps cases will slowly stop being as frequent with time and would consider saving those mats for next patch if you are pulling the new unit

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

Remember only Physical Damage can crit, and "crit ratios" do not apply to Honkai Impact 3rd.

my personal take for affixes when you're not at endgame is to be conservative. Just don't touch affixes until you encounter very specific cases where you're barely off.

A decent boost doesn't mean anything if you're already overkilling, or way too far below due to lacking valks/gear/execution. Improvements are only notable when they achieve differences in results for rewards (demote > retain > promote in abyss mainly)

The top priorities are either time limited stuff, or also possibly a rank improvement for a valk you need for a short term abyss cycle. However the latter isn't as relevant when all valk stamps in ER are largely outdated.

• Honkai shards are probably most important.
• Red lens are for foundry high class stig craftings. They don't have many sources but also don't have as much use nowadays.

Anything else beyond those aren't as strongly considered and may have other sources, but you can ask further if interested

The unlockable bridges are part of a more "outdated" system. I don't know if we can expect new ones. Asumara already covered reruns.

The "newer" way we get bridges is from the part 2 main story. There's roughly a new one every major arc.

sorry to get back to this for a moment but are you currently playing on a new account or on your old account since this does affect if you should pull fdd's weapon quite a lot imo. if you got extremely lucky on a new account you can consider picking up her weapon on the rerun imo it'll depend a bit on how much crystals you used on the upcoming valk but beginners should have enough of an income to afford a valk + weapon + weapon, even though this goes against the general rule of do not backpull i think that this would be a case where it's acceptable but if this is still your old account just save until you have about 30k crystals

This fu hua is AE (Azure Empyrea) and she's an elemental and breach support.

• 3x BA (3 Yin) > CA on her for the elemental boost,
• Mix of Ult and BA presses (any Mix of Yin and Yang) > CA pulls in enemies and provides 1 SP/s for 15s
• 3x Ult (3 Yang) > CA just restores 4 SP for herself
  Holding Ult with 125 SP gathers and provides Breach
  Make sure to also read into her weapon, Cosmic Duality and her Stigmata, Fu Hua: Margrave. I can give some more info for that too if you want.

There's also extra dmg boosts mentioned in her skills when doing certain actions
