damage output is relative, not all valks are created equal in all situations, she will be amazing where she is best, and mediocre/decent in areas the can benefit her as all other valks

for a person with no recent valks and nearly 100k crystals in the tank, its always a recommendation to get helia here due to her shill being prevelant and she also can be a supportive option for the same ring with future units

1. Nothing in the new AR mechanics suggest the possibility of everyone having to rely on a specific unit instead of just having teammates with the AR tag. This is the ULT specialisation, not the specific partner specialisation
2. Logically speaking, mhy doing that to every valk they release for this AR specialisation is incredibly unlikely, because historically they've only done this very rarely (P1 trio and vodka twins)
3. The two examples I just mentioned were designed to have synergy together because it makes sense lore-wise. Again, there are only a couple of relationship dynamics on the level of ||Corelia at this point in the story. (And yes, Coralie is by far the most likely to be her binary star partner. If you disagree you're coping)||

reruns are generally not recommended in this game

strictly speaking the current rerun for durandal is viable to supporting PS. However there's many reasons why I don't recommend her at this point

• as a newer player you're most concerned about strong coverage early on. Single copy of the valk with their signature weapon each is good enough for this. Do you have the crystals to afford this in full first of all? Roughly 40k crystals to be safe.
• RS overlaps with PS in being physical type and having the same ring type. There are still finer aspects that separate them but overall this overlap is too great. Next valk by contrast ||offers a different ring type and element||
• she's 3 patches old. Still relatively recent but that's still a decent chunk of time to be not be making good use of her. Not every valk is equal but loosely speaking i roughly expect a valk to keep a top meta niche for 2 years.
• part of RS' use cases is supporting older part 1 non astral ring teams which newer players will not have so you won't be able to fully mileage off her.
• another main niche of durandal is dealing against imaginary enemies that consist of a shell and a core. Durandal's advantage is being able to deal damage to the core directly and one of these ways is with her ult. Sparkle on paper is notable for being able to reduce durandal's ult cd and idk if you have her.
• while she does provide shield break utilty, this is only niche and will not be relevant or required for all scenarios.

i came up with more reasons than i expected lol. Main one i want you to focus on is the second point @arctic fox

honestly alot of these points are too specific to durandal that makes me especially against backpulling her unless you like her but

for any other valk rerun, we simply don't recommend it because f2p income is limited and the latest release is usually strongest in mileage (there can be some rare exceptions where a new release is recommended to skip, or a rerun that's worth considering. Pins do have a pull recommendation post that gets updated at the start of every patch)

i should also stress all of these points are meta focused to acheive a high abyss crystal income but you may deviate depending on how more casual you are

being meta very loosely speaking is really just a matter of regularly playing the game to not miss crystals, and saving up until you can afford a new release early in the patch.

With how flexible p2 teambuilding is and with how the latest releases are usually more emphasized, strong meta teams will naturally come together patch by patch, valk by valk. If you can't guarantee both valk and weapon, a single patch skip is usually ok once in a while.

And as time goes on, the older meta will fall off and that's how you "catch up."

anyway i digress. hopefully that clears up some logic for the recommendations we give and gives a better picture of the grand scheme of things.

Meta is the default recommendation purely for more crystals but by no means is required (the meta valk cost will never profit either so this becomes paradoxical if you don't like the valk you're rolling for)

to add on a bit, rs is probs one of the weaker valks in the whole loa ring. she takes too long to refresh the switch cd of her teammates, which feels really stupid considering the whole ring revolves on qte-ing to teammates. thjs is especially bad considering theres currently a bug which allows u to skip the anim of songque’s ca, meaning that u’d want to cycle thru ur valks repeatedly and quickly. rs needing 2 whole ca’s to reset switch cd is terrible at abusing this bug as such

As part of that, how important are my stigmata affixes? Should I be buying the limited stock items for rerolling them? (Wafer stabilizers, wafer dataflows, reroll devices, crystal cores)

They absolutely do matter in Nirv, you wanna get some baseline stats (like ~20-30 ATK per stig or smth) and go further if you're missing a bit of damage (like 1/8th-1/4th of a minibar or smth, ofc it depends on the specific bar too)
Whether you should be buying what you listed depends on how many of them you alr have

Though keep in mind that generally you ain't getting Myriad unless you have the proper AO for the team as well

Yeah. Kiaelf gains big dmg buff at 3* where you'll usually see the contention with DS though take care to only use frags after using the box.
(box dupe is 105 frags while it takes 150 to unlock elf)

There are 3 BP tiers offering different amounts of Crystallums as follows:

first phase is clear, but second one…

3 mobs spawn. Aponia isn't hittable until the shields of the three mobs are broken. If you want to optimize it then the timing of the gather and maybe also your orientation are things to note. The mobs aren't immediately active and they teleport upon being active too

During this period there's a gauge that fills prob with her usual consequence of jumbling your controls but idk and you shouldn't encounter it

The shieldswordman with "3" is likely a debuff on you or buff for them. i hit it once and both the number and its yellow shield bar got reduce.
about the 30 countdown that the "disabled" time. first u need to deplete their shield bar to make them enter "disabled" state and only after all 3 are disabled then u can kill them (they are untargetable if there is at least one guy not disabled)
but u most likely have found out this urself while "gathering evidence"

no, in general we dont recommend backpulling at all and dudu's bosses will become more and more rare by now. Also unless there is some build pity i maybe wouldtn even recommend pulling helia since you cant guarantee her + her weapon

Also dmg types isnt the only thing to really decide weather something is worth or not, Vita will suffer a lot on PAWS's bosses since she will be type countered.

check this out for why backpulling isn't recommended

and about if you should pull helia or not i'd recommend to do the discounted and then go from there ( assuming you dont have build pity on any of the banners )

Maybe you can run the math with my spreadsheet and looking at the events this patch. Include the half 10 roll discount too

From what i loosely heard with the longer patches f2p can get roughly average for valk and weap every patch now. Granted average isn't a guarantee so unluckier and careful people will still need to skip now and then. Some patches may have multi releases too
