HoHE dkey is only 60 more rolls at worst for some part 2 roles and coverage but overall most of her uses aren't too major for now (still waiting to see how she would support future teams of new ring types).

If those 60 rolls would prevent you from rolling something more recent and important, i would recommend you save.

If you really like elysia then we can make an exception and talk about how you would work with her in the meantime.

Please keep in mind as a dps, hohe with dkey relies alot of thelema for her main matchups. Also keep in mind at this point the competition and veteran players generally have her at high ranks (SS1 or so) making it difficult and costly to catch up on.

the pull recommendations in the pins actually cover what affixes she wants if you really want to dive in to this. But these are marginal benefits that are usually not important. I actually recommend you to ignore them for now.

It's not until you reach very high level abyss where they start to matter. At that point all players would be using very similar teams and are playing very well, so minor differences can be meaningful.

yeah. Keep in mind weapons in this game are important (unlike other hoyo games) for all gacha valks. The worst you can do is to constantly roll for characters without their weapons.

although this is mainly speaking in terms of meta. if you're not meta and just want to collect, then we can talk about what to expect without the weapon and how to work with it. just make sure to keep your expectations much more toned down

The reason why meta is generally recommended is because abyss late in the game makes you compete against other players (no flat goal of getting 3 min clears in genshin abyss or anything like that). Doing better in abyss gives you more crystals and it's one of the major sources of them in this game. (possibly half of your regular weekly income)

Stigmatas for newer valks are now craftable but cost additional source prisms to do so. Weapons are the only gacha exclusive thing to roll for.

Weapons often are a big part of a valk's personal damage (and every new valk can operate as a dps now) and some may have important utility (e.g. time stop, meter refill) to make the valkyrie operate smoothly.

in general we dont recommend backpulling so meta wise the question would be can you afford sushang + her weapon or not, how many crystals do you have and what is your pity ?

there is a balance to how much meta and how much being casual you want to be in hi3. so yes you don't have to pick one or the other only.

but you'll have to be specific and realistic with your income and expectations at any specific point in time

like if you want to focus on hohe, try to make sure you have 60 rolls for her weapon.

but if you have other things you want in this time and not enough to guarantee both then you may have to do some personal prioritizing

there can be exceptions for skipping weapons on a valk too even in meta use cases

• if you already own a valk without her weapon way past her release, then you can make some use of her as is, but you wouldn't want to spend more crystals catching up on their niche uses
• very rarely some valks can operate ok without their weapon but this still isn't generally recommended

You won't profit in crystals with meta overall. There should be an overlap of personal interest with it.

• bleed trauma from basic and weapon hits
  • without her weapon, sushang can still bleed with her qte, full meter attack, weapon active. However there may be some fights where you may want to apply alot of bleed for enemy gimmicks such as vill-v boss
• refreshing weapon active on enemy kills (less important in boss scenarios where there's no mobs to kill, but there will prob some endgame situation that will emphasize this)

• Start farming crystals from various sources (limited time ones take priority since they can be lost) and work towards her weapon.
• stop after getting her weapon. if you're still missing stigs, use the selector box given to you this patch. afterwards craft in foundry.
• save up crystals for the next new release or something else you're interested in (can ask us more in detail about those).

• don't expect this to perform well. it's possibly just the best you can do for now until you get much better stuff in the future)
• please review the ingame tutorials for each valk if you don't understand what each actions/animations are
• please review glossary in the pins if you don't understand abbreviations

Menu:

• Sushang leader (this makes the team have astral ring mechanics)

• turn OFF coralie's QTE. having this on just makes the valk being swapped out have a longer swap cd and makes coralie do extra animations that wastes time

• At the start of the fight swap to coralie and use weapon active twice (consumes two dots on her meter to give her two stacks of her team passive buff. You can see this above your hp bar)

• jump > midair basic attack (slams to the floor. Hitting restores a dot) > weapon active (consumes the dot to get the last third stack. This particular attack also debuffs enemies hit by it. It also restores astral ring intensity (energy for outburst mode) but only once until you enter and exit outburst state)

  • if you have ult in abyss you can use that instead to reach 3 stacks instantly but only if you're still waiting for the enemy to spawn. it's usually slower otherwise

• QTE prometheus(TA)

• ult (or hold CA if you don't have sp for ult)

• weapon active

• QTE sushang (restore half meter)

• weapon active (restore another half meter)

• hold attack (consumes meter)

• weapon active follow up after the hold attack

• ultimate uses can be mostly freeform except for the following exceptions

  • not after qte
  • not after CA
  • if after stellar shift, use it before the third WA

• swap to coralie. since you're already at 3 stacks, just jump > attack > weapon like before to refresh your effects.

repeat the cycle of cora > TA > sushang.

For outburst, mash the onscreen button, then 3x WA

About the ult part, sushangs ult is very flexible yes but I've noticed 3 situations where you do not want to ult since you will loose some buffs/enhanced WAs. Directly after normal qte entry ult will let your WA go on CD and you can't get full bar and after you hold attack ult will also make you loose out on that WA after that, if you ult after stellar shift do it instantly because sushangs augmented ascension state will end after her full WA sequence. Otherwise her ult can be used between first WA and hold attack or just at the end of your rotation

The stellar shift part maybe is not that huge and you can actually ult after the WA sequence but that is a bit situational imo to lose out on some buffs for some utility that the stellar shift may provide

These moments where someone could ult are also only moments I felt are the most suitable maybe there are some other rots depending on the boss and all but hi3 is very situational in general so this is to be expected

what kind of interests does your friend have? we give meta advice by default since that leads to more crystals but oftentimes returnees or other beginners may have more casual interests to adjust for.

Can you give a more exact count of the pity and crystals/cards they have? Metawise any valk can be greatly lacking without their weapon. Rolling constantly just the character without their weapon or constantly pulling weapons on reruns can be very detrimental meta wise. Ideally your friend would have enough to get both valk and weapon.

if your friend is interested in the meta they may even consider starting over. Older stuff they already have are prob niche or out of date. (It may still be worth keeping if they have vintage/exclusive stuff like eva collab that are no longer obtainable) A fresh beginner gets more early one time crystals from the begniner event and can reallocate their reset one time crystals from story, elysian realm, etc

you don't get ops for their personal damage generally speaking.

For very old powercrept scenarios that damage could be relatively large i suppose.

And in some rare cases big or small that amount of damage might be significant to optimizing a fight in a certain time but

the main benefit to teri op is really the additional stellar shift she provides to LoA teams

for most f2p intents and purposes, gacha astral ops are also not recommended btw. They cost the same as a weapon, and f2p already struggle as is to get valk and weapons. (maybe this will change now that patches are longer though)

but you don't currently need any gacha op to really retain at an ex RL level which is the usual goal we set for most players

ok so at worst 32760 crystals if you get really unlucky on both. It's best to plan to guarantee. Since being stuck with a valk without weapon or vice versa is arguably the worst case scenario meta wise for long term development.

If you still really want sushang, you can roll on the valk banner while staying above 16k. That way if you get the valk early, you can guarantee the weapon. If you don't, then the further built pity will carry over to the next thing you choose to pursue in the future.

Bleed overall will be niche but the appeal is that niches with bleed tends to be heavily walling/gating (e.g. vill v trauma bars)

But before you push for sushang, talk to me about your valk roster too. Hard to appreciate her if you can't support her well or have enough other valks to cover most of her other roles.

I dont ever consider paladin due to its price, but if I have a personal want/planned something to help in the future I might consider it

take advantage of the top up discount event ai chan put's in the server

and exhaust all crystal sources while planning my units properly

personally I'm a pretty moderate spender, I spend like ~£50 per patch which is probably like $60 idk freedom eagle ahh currency. I prioritise monthly card and knight bp (paladin is a scam) and then get a few of the highest value bchip packs (the ones that cost <1k bchips). I occasionally use the double topup crystal bonuses as and when I need them throughout the year due to shit luck.

generally speaking yes, battle pass can be ignored honestly, but I think it has even more merit now that you can garuntee a dkey every patch if not already owned

and now that the currency is permanent, it opens up the door to a lot of future options should the time come

but generally speaking there's never a need to go over $20 a patch 2 monthlies (30 days x2 since patches are 63 days) and knight bp is more than enough

Immutable Crystallums

Hey there, Captain!

Crystallums are a Battle Pass Currency that can be exchanged for Valkyries and Equipment in the Reserve Works. Captains who purchase Knight or Paladin BP can access the BP Works for 3 versions.

There are 3 BP tiers offering different amounts of Crystallums as follows:
-# The totals below account for the 2 Crystallums in the Dorm Shop.

• Vanguard (F2P) BP: 5 per patch
• Knight BP: 18 per patch
• Paladin BP: 24 per patch
