Allow me to explain, Captain!

Characters under the Astral Ring System will have one ring type (Specialization), and one or multiple tags (Attributes) that will determine how they can form teams. This system is only activated if a Character with Astral Ring is set as the leader. When activated:

• the leader's ring type will decide the team's playstyle.
• the team will benefit from effects (e.g., Stigmata buffs) that require Astral Ring.
• the team will gain access to Stellar Outburst, a high damage output state you can enter after charging enough energy (Astral Ring Intensity).

Basically the way it works is (99% of the time) your leader is the DPS, they set the ring type ||for new Mei, that’s grail||. Then you find two supports who have tags that match the ring; for grail that’s symbiosis. So a grail dps wants 2x supports with the symbiosis tag. Not all supports are created equal but the gap between supports with the proper tag is small and the gap between a real support and a cope support with no tag is very large

Element doesn’t really matter, you can have a fire support for a phys dps

Or vice versa

And it only matters a little bit for eg personal damage

Each ring has its own support tag, the name of the tag is meaningless but you just hav it remember what goes with what

correct, and it shares a common point with hle that it buffs something that is relatively hard to chase/match
sd shards scale off enemise max hp so more shards is just bonkers
and then dmg to core is jsut self-explanatory
