Most of the time I just check what dps they recommend and then go off that

it's mostly about weathers, typing etc. though sometimes you may want things like certain status effect or Hitcount or stuff like that and then you'd change up your supports/dps depending on that

Tierlist don't really work in this game, if you're not interested in restarting on a new account save up until you have ~30k crystals when a new valk drops and then pull her, just repeat this and you'll slowly build your roster, if you are interested in restarting maybe have a look at this beforehand

Should I "Tune"?

Sorry for the confusion, Captain!

The warning that appears for tuning is translated poorly. Tuning a weapon turns it into a [Divine Key](#👶beginner-help message) - the warning tries to tell you that...

When tuned, the weapon:

• Cannot be salvaged.
• Cannot be used to craft a PRI-ARM that is not its own.
• Can be used to craft its respective PRI-ARM.
• Gives you Divine Key bonuses such as +10 accountwide attack (see the Divine Keys Menu).

-# Please note that if you pull multiple copies of a Stellar Key (Part 2 Divine Key) you tune the one you will be upgrading - note that locked copies cannot be used to upgrade its Synergy level until unlocked, which takes 24h.

There is a meta here but it's totally up to you if you wanna participate in it, generally once you have some established teams you can just chill in the second lowest abyss tier and make some off meta pulling decisions relatively usual, getting there just takes a bit but you can also just choose to stay casual and pull valks you like

so first part, u attack on the third beat, if u use badum ca for example can start on/after second beat
then dodge is part 2, you see the mask like thing falling down to you, so you can evade when its close to you, there's 2 mask, afterwards u need to do a jump, you can do it as late as after seeing boss like claps his hands
then third part is the same as first part, if you use something like badum ca, then its on the 4th beat which is before the atk

point is doing it the mechanic depletes the boss hp bar for transition, the first two parts of atking on 3rd beat and dodging + jumping depletes the hp bar in transition

wyverein has this at the end of the latest video for LV. Not saying this is representative of all elemental dps (and there's others you can check for)

but at least for LV's damage you can see roughly DS > Songque > Kia for damage

whereas ARI wise it's more like kia > DS > Songque

overall the damage are very fine differences but if you care enough, those are the ways you might expect a difference

But there's a lot of factors to this than just a valk being replaced

anyway if you understand the team building system then keep in mind if you restart, you basically start with nothing aside from maybe what you reroll for

and astral ring is all about matching ring types to tags

iirc lv works similar to HLE where you only need to regen SP 2 times, ofc you're still missing out on shining trace but the general SO rot shouldn't be too bricked, there are ofc some other things like general rot improvement and switch CD reduction with ult on both supports that they'd miss out on

but the dragon gets a bigger team boost from the weapon. Even though she's one of the best supports atm, not having the weapon prob makes her fall behind

she's still easy to access her ult and can help with status utility

and RoO valks are uncommon

but new players picking up roo dps otherwise struggling getting enough since they're not that plentiful

anyway FWS kiana by contrast doesn't depend on her weapon as much (there's still a slight team boost on it iirc)

the main gripe i have is that she's a year old so she might be destined to fall off sooner (we can't predict this and it's not always equal across valks)

but she's SD type and has various utilities (-8% hp against SD enemies on weap hit is esp unique, but also just general SD shard gathering) with fast-ish animations (can hold attack to stellar drain and not use her long full meter animation)

FWS is also one of the best WS supports currently (but you also already have vita and hofi that are good or situationally good too)

i'm not going to pick for you overall but both have their merits overall

i don't really know what s chen gives tbh but wottle seems to appreciate her a ton already. Main takeaway i had was chenxue can give 11 ARI per valk with grail or RoO ring types, or 8 for symbiosis tags.

You may esp consider this for the following on older teams:
For WS

• HLE and XDC is already like 19 ARI?
  For WoD
• Rita and HLE is like 16
  Maybe there's something better i missed

but there can always be some situation where you're stuck with a team without those and have to slot in sena. There can be other weird niche situations too.

and ofc if they give another songque for free down the line, having ss is significant (assuming you got nothing better for it) for certain teams

overall with having another a gacha op already, ofc the areas for songque op to stand out will be lessened but as veterans with developed accounts, i think it's the niches and prospects you want to be mindful of

ok so first of all let's start with their tags

so the main teams hofi is supporting are world star and RoO. She doesn't change too much here

she mainly uses weapon active to buff the team (starts purple icon above hp bar called moon rising)

the main thing about this is that you don't need it to hit. So many other 3pc team buff effects need something to hit

so she can already get a head start before the enemy spawns

if it does hit you do get a 10% total damage bonus though but this isn't too important and gets ignored

you can try out both. You don't always need to rush ARI to outburst. it depends on how everything fits in the fight

let's say for example a fight is 100 seconds long

but my outburst if i rush to it happens from 50-75
whereas if i don't rush it, it happens from 75-100

I would probably use hofi here because of the Mei passive actually, the buffs do sound quite nice and you'd get some minor phys breach

like evading alot or getting it elsewhere. The boss can drop an ARI pack or the astral op can give it to you (hence the initial ARI stuff earlier)

Stellar Drain is a mechanic where using specific attacks to hit an enemy can restore a large amount of Astral Ring Intensity ([ARI](#👶beginner-help message)).
However, each Character on the team only gets 1 stack of Stellar Drain and can only consume their own stack. This stack is restored across the team when entering battle or exiting Stellar Outburst (SO).
Normally the amount of ARI generated by consuming Stellar Drain is 20 if the Character has the matching attribute for that team. When the Character does not have the matching attribute for that team they usually restore 10 ARI. (for more info on team building, view [!faq ring](#👶beginner-help message)).

• Note that:
• Stellar Drain stacks are NOT visible
• Stellar Drain stacks can NOT exceed 1 per Character
• when attacking an enemy, the game may register your attack as a hit even if you don't see any actual damage numbers; this may be because the enemy is hidden or non-targetable
• the amount of ARI generated can also be affected by weapon passives/Character skills
• Characters may have multiple ways to consume Stellar Drain; for example, FWS can consume Stellar Drain with her CA and her enhanced WA
