ah yes i just read through your guide, it was really well written and i want to thank you for that! It's a very clear mix between straightup informative and beginner friendly reading level, and i find it usually that certain guides cant do that well.
But anyways. That aside, i was going to ask you about exactly this. I'm a massive massive sparkle fan, she's my #1 favorite character in all the hoyo games. And i just really lucked out like crazy (i mean like double S rank pulls and back to back earlies) during her first banner and got ss2 (i also had a nice amount of crystals back then so).
So to me it feels just logical to get the last two, right? But then also, i came here a few days ago/yeserday (?) to ask what was the best team i can do with my current roster of valkyries, and the main conclusion i could take was that vita/badum were the most important for her team, and i could use potentially the new elysia>horb with new gear.

So, do you think i should now still go for vita? (I say go as if im gonna spend 90 pulls on her, but i mean more like if i should try my luck on her banner).

I understand the sentiment of maxing something but ultimately that's something you have to decide for yourself (or at least i feel it would be very wrong for anyone to decide it for you). With your words in mind, I think it's understandable for you to go for it.

More mechanically speaking in this game the actual benefits of SSS can vary by valk. I'm not familiar with the higher ranks unfortunately. In my eyes for sparkle uses, SS is the main higher rank point for the sp to enable certain strats.

Can you post your valk roster again? HI3 lategame expands to many scenarios and there's no one size fits all. Sparkle in particular has very nuanced scenarios.

• Fire kosma where lantern is a possible best option for her high hitcount against the couatl phase, but vita can work well enough. Other options exist too. I've seen senadina handle part of it.
• Theresa also might be notable for quantum matchups but for RL and below, sparkle alone is enough. Usually outside of fire kosma, teri is a better leader but i have no idea how it is for high sparkle ranks.
• if you want to use Sparkle against SD enemies (not a common consideration), then HLE would be very notable too since she can force crystal phases early (i have a writeup for SD enemies linked somewhere in the guide iirc). Sena can be helpful too for subdps purposes.
• For most situations, vita, hfi with dkey, and fws are the most notable WS supports.

but i digress. At any rate if you used to be nirv f2p (dunno if you meant recently or not) then you prob have a good sense of how the game works. Hopefully my writeup can give you some insight but overall i'm not really here to urge a blind decision. Let me know if there's anything else to discuss

It's just you said "best" so i can't rule that out.

and there's alot of times in this game where there's a very costly "best" vs a very affordable (something you already have usually) "good enough"

and it's up to you to decide what these boundaries and balances are once you're well informed

since im a returnee im so low in abyss rn, is there any must pull rn or anything to unbrick my acc, meta might be complicated but as long as i get more crystals for ely is fine, i remember having trouble in red lotus and often brute forced it

So SS3 buffs her leader effect.
SSS buffs her outburst multipliers.

Both are for personal damage i think and neither are too much tbh. I don't think it's worth it overall to pursue these mechanically speaking compared to other valks or ranks you can be getting.

The main thing about SS is that you get more sp and that can change some strategies. But i do not know the details or examples of these. You may have to ask someone else or research (lots of ref searching stuff in the pins)

As for best team, again without a scenario in mind i'm very limited in how i can answer this. I already listed three valks to highly consider earlier which further your notions of trying for vita from carnival.

Part 2 HI3 is arguably much more balanced than part 1. We don't really have hov, HoT, HoS dominating the meta single handedly anymore

what's more important now is just general coverage. Weapons are still important though

so the main idea is to save crystals and pull for new releases (valk and weap) when you can fully afford them

if there's any particular valk to really look out for generally, usually the ones with team breach are commonly top used

so senadina, vita, dragon coralie (FDD), but i don't recommend pulling on their reruns

even if they are top used, it is not by too much and for RL and below, other options that are more worth your crystals over a long term can be picked up and used

and these more worthwhile options are newest releases. not reruns

if you're f2p you won't expect to pick up every single new releease. Skipping once in a while is normal

huh but im sliiiightly confused, because aside from lantern theresa and sena/hle, you mentioned vita as a notable support.

And from all these characters, i have all of them and their gear except for vita, theresa and lantern.
For theresa's case, i ALWAYS bring sparkle no matter what, whenever it comes to QUA content XD.
When it comes to lantern, I'm not too sure actually. I never really got interest in lantern, but i've had quite a bit of interest in vita in comparison as i've wanted her since i saw her in the story, but never got a chance to pull her.

thelema is someone i didn't mention yet. The damage she grants to the team isn't as high but when damage is overkill, she has fast animations

I don't remember if you got back to me about ss songque astral op so here's a brief idea

• the main gacha astral op for elemental world star teams. Gacha ops often are significant if you ever need to outburst multiple times. Not only do they boosts your damage, but also improves your ARI regen significantly. Start here if you're trying to improve sparkle dps.
• Generally for most intents and purposes you really don't need this to retain RL tier. in fact many fights in RL tier only outburst once.

i think otherwise we touched upon every WS support already except the farmable ones which obviously fall off or at worst are accessible, and HoRb. HoRb is too new but i also have heard nothing about her as support really.

But yeah i think i agree with what you're saying here otherwise

but again, more damage, and earlier/more frequent outbursts which is the peak of your damage in general for astral ring teams (the latter is what's major depending on the fight)

you can see songque caused a 10 point difference here, and if you look closely in the video, songque did get her outburst up sooner than dreamseeker

but for this fight, they didn't need to use the outburst right away (sena was in the middle of doing her high damage finisher)

and in both fights you only used outburst once anyway

so this is a nice scenario where songque is NOT significant and it's pretty common in RL

but for more bulky and longer fights (nirvana tier) the higher damage and ARI regen to a sooner second outburst may go a longer way

thinking it over if you intend to get vita/songque op/SSS sparkle eventually, i think it makes sense to finish the pity on carnival since the free tickets already covered 20 of the pity. Ofc this is NOT normal recommendations @wicked quiver

the main other wrench to consider is that cost will prevent you from anything else in the near future such as horb if you suddenly want to consider her, or maybe the next patch valk (no official details on that yet)

and ultimately as much as I have helped, i'm definitely not versed on the high rank side of things so feel free to consult a second opinion/take what i said more with a grain of salt etc

also if we want to hone on quantum scenarios in particular rather than all WS scenarios, single outburst is common for those too even in nirvana

but you can see a much larger difference here

because the main gimmick of the stage is each enemy kill buffs you, up to 8 stacks. Once you reach 8 stacks you cannot refresh it. Scoring well in the stage is about how well you can plan out your stacks and carry it to the end. With songque op, things line up pretty nicely iirc, but it gets much more ugly with dreamseeker because of the delayed outburst

her dps use cases are just as uncommon as any dps with how diluted the abyss pool has become.

but yeah she's still a common support especially for WS. For WoD sena is usually more preferred but there's scenarios esp if she's SS. For LoA, FDD kinda took over her role, but sometimes she's still used (against bleed hos she had type counter)

• if you want to retent nirvana, you want SS minimum on all AO

i wouldnt completely agree with the last 2 points, just getting to nirvana should be easy enough as long as your coverage is good enough, you can skill diff RL players most of the time but it can happen that you get into a sweaty bracket.
It's also possible to retain nirvana with lower rank AOPs or even DS depending on your bracket, especially aops which S ranks is quite strong like teri or even teams in which the AOP has a better alternative unless it's SSS or you need 2 SOs ( I'm talking about fire, lightning WS here )

though i have to agree that retaining with most S ranks aops can become quite maldy and definitely requires an established account, i just want to emphasise that it's not a hard requirement

generally how big the diff between different aops or the ranks of the same aop is also depends a lot on the boss itself

then im just very unlucky then. every time i'm on nirv, its either:

• its a room with all/mix of S2/SS +1 on all units + SS AO as 10th, with only 200-400 diff compared to 1st (1st is usually all SSS +2/+3 with SSS AO btw)
• its a room that needs sparkle (i don't have her)
• its a qua room

but yea. for my experience, to guarantee +100 every single RL abyss, you kinda need S0 AO, and on nirvana, you want SS AO to at least fight for 8th-10th. i do agree that there are variables that can let you retent even in nirvana with SS DS, but the malding is kinda hard + the stars must align for it to happen.
