but the issue is vita doesn't cover symbiosis

omniscient star is how RoO valks supports anything if you have nothing better, but they only give partial benefits. It helps for leader skills but doesn't give you the core gimmicks we talked about earlier (sp restoration for grail)

there's other reasons why vita can edge out in importance

but i want to make it clear that for most general considerations: matching ring type with tags, and using the correct ring type leader dps for the specific scenario is how you do well

while vita covers alot, it's pretty redundant when other things also can cover what she covers

and overall nowadays vita isn't recommended to back pull for despite her coverage

if you're f2p you can't get enough income to backpull without giving up a new release. F2p already cannot afford every new release as is. If you want to be meta f2p, forget about anything already released. Only spend your crystals on new releases when you can get both valk and weapon

we already talked about earlier how PAWS will suffer without her signature

you might consider backpulling PAWS weapon but i do think cutting your losses and only using PAWS as support so you can better focus on future stuff is potentially more viable

but that's a much more debatable topic

Well im trying not to spend money on it but i’ve the battle pass and the returnee fund that gave a lot of crystals for not too much money

you really don't need to spend anything. It'll take a bit more time but it's very doable to retain RL as f2p

but it'll just take time to save up crystals and wait for more future releases

and you can kinda get by once you have one well functioning team (FDD PAWS VBm)

but overall it's very normal to expect and spend 40k crystals for valk and weapon together. 85 for valk and 60 for weapon

you can start to see how having a few astral ring valks can let you form numerous teams

FDD is a bit more complicated but we need to cover that one since that's who you have

FDD is RoO, so you want other RoO valks usually

hohe's newest weapon is too new. It's only been a few patches since it's released

as time goes on older stuff around the >1 year mark will start to become more and more available in non crystals ways

so bp is one of these ways

with much more time, you can expect them to become farmable too but don't expect meta uses at that point

anyway @turbid kelp we covered team building with astral ring but we haven't covered actually rotating the valkyries in battle yet. This can be a long topic too and maybe we should take a break?

You can check out the tutorials in the game. Most ingame recommendations are quite bad but the tutorials in tactics class are usually acceptable.

The common idea is you want your supports to apply their supporting effect first, then have the dps leader make use of those effects until they wear off. Then repeat.

Usually the main conditional support effects you want to think about are from the valk's 3pc stigmata effect. So do what it says there for both supports first, then have the dps deal damage.

There's plenty of exceptions but that should be a solid enough idea to get started from at least

I do want to cover VBm's support effects though. It's ridiculous for a free valk everyone would start using, but she has alot of effects

• I don't think ScI's alarm move has any buffs. Do it for the stellar drain but maybe opt to skip it otherwise (if you're waiting on sena's blazer mode cd then that's more fair.)
• FWS weapon active at 0:50 seems pointless unless you need to wait for sena's blazer CD. You already did the WA earlier to reduce hp and sena already gathered the shards, so only doing this one here is to wait and deal direct damage.
  • You also could've evaded the purple move. Evading purple and oranges would cause the boss to drop a shard for each.
  • Not sure if you need to hold FWS' ult here. If you don't restore sp for later for a second use then ok
• Consider doing 2 stellar outbursts?
• not sure if you need to delay's sena's ult to 1:03. Sena's team breach is the main thing that isn't refreshed by outburst but you already have it available. Other supporting effects should be on from outburst. Maybe I'm missing something though.
• Perhaps you can opt to jump the attack at 1:26 to start the hitcount minigame to generate a ton of stardust shards and forcibly end the crystal phase early (where it will start taking more damage). Not really something i see in RL though.

there's still a few other points i think i want to comment on but let me review the video again

but i don't see anything related to [work is over alarm] for world star. Afaik main way you do alarm finisher for buffs is for non astral ring teams and it's situational if you have the 3pc or not (some strats drop it for tesla m)

so the only reason to do it is for stellar drain and otherwise spending time and triggering qtes and such. DPS wise it's really not a good move

• sena's buffs are on by default. Just make sure you don't swap to her before the boss spawns or you'll lose a buff. Overall you don't ever need to swap to her
  • there can be exceptions to this later, such as swapping to her to quickly drop an ult, or lessen a swap cooldown, or even make her sub dps. I can talk more about those if needed
• HoHE starts the fight. Buff the team with her but then swap to thelema. HoHE's personal damage in astral ring charging state is weak so thelema takes the main dps role until stellar outburst (big blue button) is ready
• Thelema main dps in the meantime. I can give you videos to watch if you don't know how this goes.
• When outburst is ready, have HoHE be the one to trigger it.

your question implies that there's only one rotation for all of superstring but this isn't strictly true. I'm assuming that's not what you really mean but just to be clear, every fight can be optimized to be slightly different from each other.

Superstring fights tend to differ greatly from memorial arena fights because time fracture and certain animations (called suspended animations/sus anis) can slow the timer there but not in superstring.

the way you play thelema can be very adaptive because some enemies would want thelema to freeze them. Other enemies may also give persisting hitbox moves for thelema to evade farm off of to restore a ton of astral ring intensity (energy)

and you determine this dps depending on the scenario you need to counter

so this current abyss boss is resonance weather guaymas (SD enemy)

so senadina who is SD type and is world star (deals resonance damage) is suitable to handle it. We put her as the leader

every newer valk has ONE ring type, but can have MULTIPLE tags

every ring type matches with a specific tag

to support a leader, you need to find other valks with tags that matches with the leader

so if sena is our leader as world star, we want our supports to have domain resonance tags

• character banner pity reduced to 90 instead of 100. soft pity is the same possibly

• weapon banner

  • no off rates
  • stig rates greatly raised (dupes are trashed to prisms, new upgrade material for stigs)
  • stigs are now farmable in foundry at worst
  • each patch gives you a selector box for latest stig set too
  • the only exclusive thing is the weapon now. stop when you get it. then box and craft the remaining stigs
  • weapon can be upgraded with dupes but this isn't f2p budget efficient. it's for whales
  • edit: pity carries over

make sure you understand how the rings and tags work later on. Team building is alot less intuitive compared to part 1 but it's still very foundational, and also more flexible.

you already can see you can make multiple teams from only a few valks

and also feel free to ask if you don't understand how to play a specific valk

although the first thing i will urge you to do is to check out their tutorials ingame (attack > events tab > tactics class) or (valk > tutorial top right. ignore the guide button. that one is bad)

the in game tutorials aren't amazing but they will at least introduce you to the moves and how they can flow together to give you an idea

the general idea is still going to be buff with supports first (thelema and VBm), then have the main dps (sena) attack until those effects end

in sena's case her main dps mode is the big blue meter. Her attack sequence is kinda convoluted (alternates between attack and weapon alot). The game does flash the onscreen buttons to help with this but eventually you'll want to memorize them to not pause between attacks

I gotta say Valkyrie Boltstorm's attacks are really really pretty (I'm doing the tutorials)

there's alot of nuances i can talk about if you really want to get deep into this but

(QTE) and also (evade > attack) are the main ways you skip to the meat of her attack strings.

Manually attacking is another way but slow and usually not preferred

For each blue meter (blazer mode) you can generally do two full sequences before it goes on cooldown. Then you swap to your supports and reset their effects and repeat the loop

but so far i haven't talked about outburst yet

the idea of outburst (big blue button. high damage mode) with a world star leader is some valks will set up marks (sena and VBs) while other valks (thelema and VBm) will pop those marks.

you will have remaining time after doing that bit, but outburst mode still buffs you greatly so you want to spend the remaining time on your main dps (sena)

so to summarize:

• thelema and VBm to buff
• sena dps

not every mark will look the same (sparkle is two rotating fishes). Generally as long as you do the sequence (sena will end with a big anchor attack) you'll trust the mark is there

vbm can pop 6 times

but the last 3 pops from whoever goes last will be wasted (prob vbm), so just swap them out on the third one

(this is getting in super detailed territory)

they prob expired because you fully consumed them

you can clearly see the mark below the boss

although you'll see this person pop all 12 times on their supports (vita doesn't let you stop early) but you can at least hear the sound effect stops happening after halfway of vita's bar

If you're just a whale ely fan and want to make her as good as possible go for it, but if you have no Grail of Infinitude support characters (they have a 'symbiosis' tag) Chenxue will not magically make her good.

if you already have other symbiosis supports to use with new ely, then beware i don't think horb is better as a support yet. I might be wrong on this though but i haven't seen any instances in beta where horb was more preferred option yet.

Also when pulling on the banner, keep in mind only the weapon is gacha exclusive. If you didn't get all the stigmatas, you can use the free selector box and further more craft the rest in foundry.

HoRb's value isn't just for supporting btw. If you're pulling for HoRb you're mainly looking at her as a new physical World Star dps. Her weapon is also a divine key for a global +10 attack to all your valks from the dorm > divine key menu too.

if you're f2p who already have other symbiosis valks and aren't aiming for nirvana i personally feel horb dkey might be a skip (as mentioned above she has no significant support uses yet) but picking her up is still solid enough as long as you have enough crystals to guarantee

uh the main thing i can say is that some of sena's attacks can be slightly cancelled early so you might lose marginal damage that way

boss is also rng in phase 1 so you might be whiffing or getting/not getting a shard pick up from evading its mix up attacks

or if it does and you evade it, you may not even pick up the shard in time

i definitely had past experiences where i noted variance even when i thought all factors have stayed the same though

There's no easy fix for this team because all your battlesuits are outdated and missing gears; you're probably better off with another team (or at least some members swapped) but I'd have to have a better look at your roster and gear to see what specifics

I think given how poor you currently are, your best option is going to be Horb dps with VBM + Starry Impression support. You'll want to switch your current stigmas tho because they're pretty bad, can you show me your stigmas list?

And then set and then either Terminal Aide, or Valkyrie Blastmetal with Wang Zhoujun TM Ogier B? If you dont have the mats to level VBM it could be any physical battlesuit instead but you'd never want to switch them in

Only other options are VBM VBS AE or VBS VBM AE and I wouldn't expect a ton from any of these three options

definitely try and get VBM built because not having her built is really gonna limit what she can do for you and she's one of your most useful battlesuits

Probably but not definitely. You won’t be able to clear the event in time but it’s at least possible that you’ll be able to progress the event in voyage logs enough to spend currency before the event runs out

And if not then you grab whatever you can instead

• stock up on shop currency while the event is actually active
• have the event expire into the next patch and therefore cause it to be added to voyager log
• the shop will still be available but you no longer can gain currency for it
• but any restrictions in the shop (e.g. finish main story for thel costume) can be cleared via the voyager log version while the shop is still in its active grace period

this is only kinda speculative/half confirmed for now

Generally just fyi aops aren't needed unless you want to retain nirvana everything before that is easily doable with DS, especially since f2ps can't really afford aops since a lot of them want SS to really have an impact on your team, aops are also mainly there for utility like initial ARI or Ari regen which both barely matter in RL and below. Regarding those two none of them will be better than DS in every single team, Theresa would be better in LoA and lightning RoO teams and Chenxue will be better than DS for GoI and RoO at S at SS chenxue should be better than DS in every team that has 3 symbioses chars but it's still not really worth it the damage increase is very minor.

somewhere in the add stamina menu should be a timer for regular stamina gain

and then the dorm menu tells you what is the reduced rate once stam is capped

idr the specific values though since stam is such an afterthought at this point
