No no you did. If you didn't have a mihoyo account then you did not have a honkai account, you could not have played the game without a mihoyo account. I'm the past it was you had a honkai game account that was linked to a mihoyo account that you used Google Play to log in with. If you tried to log into the game today with your Google Play it would not work because the game migrated to the hoyoverse account system that genshin and hsr uses. Your honkai account is not linked to a hoyoverse account that uses your Google Play

But anyways the point of the form and the account recovery process is not to ask a bunch of questions that you can look up but a bunch of questions that only the original, genuine account owner could possibly know. They have to be able to confidently state that as a company that they legally acknowledge you as the owner, that's why the have to do this because they're a big international company and could get sued into the ground if they were giving people's accounts (that they spent lots of money on) to just whoever asked for them with info that anyone can find if they know where to look. So that's why they ask all the annoying questions.

The reason they switched honkai from the mihoyo account system to the hoyoverse one is several reasons.
Players were literally begging them to because every other hoyoverse game was on hoyoverse, honkai was feeling old and neglected in that regard. the hoyoverse account system was much more secure and has 2 factor authentication, and they could do hoyolab integration to participate in web events and get free daily things. None of this was doable with mihoyo accounts so after a year or two after hoyoverse accounts started being a thing they finally switched it over after a months long linking event and warning players with in game announcements for like 6 months

rendering accuracy doesnt limit what the resolution can be, and its always on it just goes down to low. but it just determines how many times it samples which i guess if you're running at 1080p has the same end result of squishing 1440p into it

but to answer your first question yes the game can get past 1080p on fullscreen though you cant manually set the fullscreen resolution in game as it will default to your monitor. You can use one of the custom launchers in this pin which let you set custom resolution #🔌technical-help message

Regarding those files, I noticed that it's missing the USM file corresponding to the 1st CG video of the Sakura Samsara story. The filename is CG01_batch.usm, which is missing from the Mega folder you shared. I was wondering if it were possible to add the CN version of that file to the Mega folder?

Could be that you are trying to use your nickname (ingame name) to login instead of your username (account name)
Try to use your email, and check that you don't have a blank space at the end

I think I have a problem
I made my username the same as my email but I later changed my Google username from A which is my email account to B and a while after that I tried to log in to hoyolab and it was the time it had the bug where it created a second account to some people, and since it addresses people as their username when they log in on the first account it says welcome A and on the account I made on accident which is from the same email it says welcome B.
I switched to a new phone a couple of days ago, it says "enter username or email and password " and it only enters me to account B when I type my email

But sound like the account you try to use is on a hyv account created used Google.

Thanks for your quick reply! Actually, I decided to download the CN version of the game after looking around for a long time with no result, and I managed to download all the video assets for the current version. For a blessing, downloading all resources don't require logging in with a CN account when first launching the game. And after sifting through the files I found the missing opening CG for Samsara Sakura! It's actually named differently, as 1.4_CG01_mux.usm in the CN version instead of CG01_batch.usm in the global version. But after changing the name and replacing the file, I viewed that CG in the game and it's in Chinese now! I'm sharing this file now to you and to anyone who might be having the same niche problem. Thanks again for maintaining your Mega folder!

Hello! I'm having a problem with launching HI3. It was downloading the in-game ressources just fine, but when it reached the end, there was a note saying "DirectX needs to be installed or updated" or smt like that. I checked if I had any available DirectX updates in the system, but it said "You're up to date". Conclusion: I either need other API(s), a new graphic card driver (these are 2 reasons I found online), or I can't launch the game at all ;-; Can anybody help me find a solution? You should be able to start it again when you swipe down on the upper right corner on your phone/ipad and just press play. Thats the only method I know that works now when you get at the login screen

i havent heard of that anti virus causing issues. maybe try restarting your computer and after it comes back up make sure you dont open anything else first and open the game as administrator, but sometimes anticheat for other games like valorant for instance could sometimes clash with HI3 so dont open other stuff first. if that doesnt work then contact customer support and they can let you know whats triggering that since you're clearly not doing anything wrong its just clashing with something else #how-to-contact-cs

remember that we just got the "first part" of the new UI, and for example on the select screen you have 3 valk models on display, so most low specs devices that have issues with just 1 valk on display are getting issues or just cant run the game anymore

I have an issue with spending money in the game cuz Apple ID stuff and was directed to ask here

I live in country A
My normal appleid is located in country A
I have a method of payment but it is on country A's appleid as well as it's using country A's currency
I cannot download HI3rd using the appleid in country A so i made one in country B
Country B and A have differing currencies
I tried purchasing/topping up on AppleId A but it didn't work
I swapped to AppleId B to try but it did not work as i need to register a valid form of payment but my valid form of payment is on country A/appleid A
Now i am consulting y'all to ask if there's a way to progress further

hmmm, do you have a computer by any chance that you could isntall the game on (even if it runs horribly just for the purpose of topping up?) the only other thing i can think of is to try to setup your payment on appleID B and it will hopefully auto convert the currency for you. im not sure if it will but it cant hurt to try. I'm not the most familiar with apple stuff so maybe someone else will have a better idea but the only two ideas i have atm is to either try setting up the payment on your B account or if you have a pc that will at least open the game you can try installing the global version there so you can top up with it and still play on phone

(i personally top up on phone and play on pc, topping up on phone is just easier for me)

afaik on apple the only way is to use a card there is to use one that accept the currency, so you could try to change the account to a country with a currency your bank can use (usd/eur/...)
and on PC you have other payment options because you cant use appleid there, you use directly the HYV account

actually ~40 as the double space is only required for the base game, which is abt 15 (to be cautious i added some levy room as the base game download itself is compressed to be smaller). after the base game is installed, you can download the basic resources which will finally lead the game to take up [~26gb](#🔌technical-help message)

Sorry again if this is the wrong place, but I recently resolved this issue myself after applying a fix for another game.

If you have multiple NICs, especially a virtual bridge, make sure you set your primary NICs Interface Metric (Google it) to the lowest value (highest priority). In my case, my virtual bridge was lower so Honkai was trying to use that NIC which had a random MAC address, invalidating the Token used to store credentials.

you can check too if some program could be taking priority over the controller (like steam for example)

from my experience, you can minimize, wait a second, and re-maximize the game to fix it temporarily

you can do that by doing Win + Down arrow key and Win + Up arrow key

MacOS simply cannot run Windows programs (.exe) which is why it says “cannot open”

as you’re using an Apple Sillicon Mac, you should use PlayCover (I’m not an expert at using PlayCover as I don’t even have a Mac myself, but I’m sure you can look up a tutorial online on how to play iOS games on an Apple Sillicon Mac)

anyone know a fix to launcher client not opening even when opening with administrator access? the game works fine if i open it through files games-bh3.exe, however i need the launcher to work if i want to update the game

then you should reinstall the launcher
before doing anything, move the game files if you dont want to reinstall the game.
then uninstall and reinstall the launcher.
after you run the launcher for the "first time" use the locate game option and select the game folder (the one with bh3.exe)

or you can try a custom launcher if you want (check the 1st pin)

go to the user center and check what info you have link, its going to show (half censored) username/email/password on the first page
in there you can see what info you can use to login on PC, if you still dont link anything of that it will let you put new info

after you see what you need to use to login / linked the new info, go to the PC and login

hi3rd worked yesterday on my W11 PC, but just today, when i pressed launch from the launcher, it started the BH3 process but nothing happened. subsequent attempts to launch the process result in "already running" issues (because it is), and the process seems to be repeatedly spawning and destroying tasklist.exe and conhost.exe.

already tried verifying files, clearing LocalLow data, and uninstalling and reinstalling

unfortunately none of that has helped, and it still happens

(also restarted PC)

any suggestions?

I also tried BetterHI3Launcher but it didn't help
(also directly starting BH3.exe doesn't work either)

can you try restarting your computer again and then going to your games installation folder and going to bh3.exe and right clicking it and in the properties go to the compatability tab and set it to windows 8 compatability and also check the box for run as administrator and try to open bh3.exe itself?

I have to do the ''Complete 1.4 Heroes III in APHO'', but i can't reach it because i firstly have to do ''1.3 Heroes II''. But it wont let me do taht also because it requires ''Intel Lv 8'' ( i have lv 6 ). It asks me to do adventure tasks, but it wont let me open them ( even tho i am lv 57 and it requires 55-65 ).

probably restrictions by google(? so you can use google account to login on PC/iOS, and same with appleid, where you cant use it on PC/android.
that is why you need to link another info to being able to login on another devices

that is one of many "why" i dont use 3rd party login to create accounts

if you are playing the "first" chapters is normal, the cg are compressed for mobile screens so they look bad on anything bigger
as you progress through the story the CGs become better, the last ones being the best quality
