ok i gotcha, so if your old account was on SEA and you only have americas/europe in game to chose from then you downloaded the global client, not the sea client. you'll need to uninstall that and reinstall the sea client. are you on mobile or pc?

Hey again. Just reporting for posterity that I received more extensive "clear cache" instructions from CS. Apparently the only thing that actually helps is to delete the registry entries and then restart the PC. Then the game works for a single startup and afterwards it crashes again during elevator ride.

Yeah ours do both the folder and the registry, but it's still weird that it only works the one time, if they figure out a permanent fix I'd love to hear it but at least you have a sort of working method even if it's a lot to do before every session

Sadly that is not possible, steam have their own login system, and can't be link to HYV so you account is stuck there.
that is why, at least in here, we don't recommend to play on steam.

Well yeah... The in-game surveys are just on a website, and on PC it should open on the browser that came with the game, although sometimes it will open on your default one

no need to automatically assume that someone can’t read - misreading stuff happens all the time

you could use a dns/packet sniffer and copy the url that it sniffs when you open the survey on mobile and then copy that URL to your computer and open it there

it’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s possible

it doenst matter except for steam, steam doenst have the ability to use your hoyoverse account and only uses your SteamID to login so if you previously had an account it would make a new one. the other two (epic vs official launcher) doesnt matter except epic uses the epic webstore for paying with topups and has access to paypal and credit card whereas the official one only accepts credit card

ah i gotcha, so just to clarify, steam uses your steamID to login, every other form of the game (epic, mobile, regular pc client via the official launcher or the community launchers) use hoyoverse accounts to log in. Steam unfortunately cant be linked to a hoyoverse account so basically steam is its own thing and every other platform of the game uses the hoyoverse accounts and can be shared. Its a huge downside to the steam version since it cant be linked to a hoyoverse account that means you cant play that honkai account on anything other than through steam otherwise it will be a different account.

yeah i compared it, its the same resolution, as they said, the conversion to USM format really shrunk the video sizes which is amazing for storage among other things that mostly make life dramatically easier on the developers, but on bigger screens like on pc its pretty noticable. the quality gets better in later stages though if that helps

Yeah better contact CS, there is a chance that you could register using HYV before it was the only option, but if you try to login now and didn't have any hi3 data, it will create a new one and that it's going to be another issue

So contact CS, tell them that you have issues trying to login to your account (put UID)

i received a genshin account as a gift and for some reason i couldn't put both accounts (honkai and genshin in the same email, i think it's because i was changing the email that the genshin account already had to mine, i didn't understand very well) and i ended up linking the hi3 account in another email, and now i don't have access to it anymore, but when i go to retrieval the email in which the account was created and i still have access appears that it is associated with the account and when i press to confirm it says that it is linked in another email

First of all, Sharing,Selling,... Accounts is against TOS so keep that in mind
And you cant merge HYV account.
So if you played honkai on any moment after mid 2022 that means it was already on a HYV account. So you can't link it to another account, you can only do the link process once

You can try to get back your HI3 HYV account, by contacting CS ( #how-to-contact-cs ). they can change the login info, after they check that you are the owner of the account with a form they will send you.
but you still will end with 2 different account, one for HI3, one for GI

@daring gyro You can get CS to change the login info (email/3rd party/...), after you tell them why you need that (email not working/delete 3rd party/etc.) They send a form so they can confirm that the owner is asking that action.
They ask stuff like, when did you created the account, did you buy stuff, on what devices you started playing,...
After they confirm that is correct they change to the new login you put on the form.
If is not they will tell you that the info doesn't match, but they are not going to tell you want info.
Still you can try many time as you want

I'm not entirely sure when I created the account, but when I sent a CS I already said that I hadn't bought anything in the game, for example,

and I quoted the old name of my pc that I'm pretty sure I logged into that account.

And yes they can ban accounts that didn't follow the TOS, but if you are not ban yet, you still can some issues later, like on the stuff I said earlier, if you lose access, asking for help is going to be an issue because you are not going to know important stuff like when the account was created, device,country,etc.

They only check what you put on the form, even if you put all of the info on the email. You need to be patient and try to answer as correctly as possible. They still have a "error range" so for some questions you can be "close enough".
For example some users before didn't remember the exact date when they start playing, but they put the release date of the ver. of the game that was running when they join.

Like I said, only what they ask on the form will be taken into account. And in this server you can't find the form, change from time to time and the link the give to the users is just 1 time use, that is why they say on the email to not share it

But yeah you only need to be patient.
Some users have their account back on a couple of days, while others have to wait for more time, or try more times the form

iirc one user try like 4 time before got the account back, because was remembering stuff after each attempt

You are getting a connection issue (most probably your ISP)
you can try the steps list on the 2nd pin 📌,
or try to run the game directly from the exe (BH3.exe) and see if you only have that problem with the launcher, if the same problem is in the game, then yeah try the stuff from the pin

first, you can only move the game files without issue (Games folder), if you move it with the launcher, this one is not going to work correctly most of the time.
so its recommended to install the launcher manually, after that, on the launcher click on locate files, and select the game files folder (again, the Games folder, the one that have BH3.exe inside)

Sadly is not possible. Steam uses SteamID to login, and to play on mobile you need to use a HYV account.
The only thing you can try is to use steam link, but obviously that is just streaming the game to your phone

Hello! I decided to give HI3 a try after playing Genshin for almost a year, however, does verifying normally take such a long time? On pc I have been verifying game resources for quite a while now.

Do you have the game installed on an HDD? If so, that’s one reason why it’s slow as they physically spin a disk. Using an SSD would make things faster, if you have one.

One thing you could do is whitelist/exclude BH3.exe and launcher.exe in your antivirus to make the verifying process faster

as your antivirus won’t be constantly analyzing the game’s/launcher’s behavior to see if it’s a virus or not

1. go to your honkai installation folder and copy the Games folder. Just the Games folder inside of your installation and nothing else.
2. On your D: create a folder called Honkai Impact 3 sea and paste the games folder you copied in step 1.
3. In your windows settings uninstall Honkai and redownload the Sea launcher from here: https://api-os-takumi.mihoyo.com/event/download_porter/link/bh3_os/pcsea/default
4. Once you've dowloaded the launcher installer, run that and at the very FIRST screen, click on advanced and change the installation directory to your D:\Honkai impact 3 sea

Yes, can't manually install like you can on Android so you have to trick the apple store into thinking you're in Sea. Most people find it easiest to make a new apple id just for Sea that they can switch to so that their main apple id is unchanged but you don't have to make a new one, you can just change your region but you do have to do one of those two things

there's a chance the issue could be from the service owner, hoyo in that case thats why i suggested contacting both parties to save some time

there's multiple reasons for the card transaction to fail such as not enough funds, online purchase limit, card on hold or suspicious transaction so its blocked from the bank itself etc

to use prepaid cards, the card maker need to "talk to the payment company to enable them", so that kind of card are a pain most of the time
you could try to use another payment processor by downloading the game from another store (worldpay have issues with just "regular cards" so i think you will have more issues with prepaid ones)

when you download the launcher from another store, it should detect most of the files if you select the "locate files" but you need to download some more files to make the payment work on some cases

it can be both, wired works better though and keep in mind the game uses xinput so something like a switch pro controller wont be detected natively and you'll need to do more to get it to work

no it doesnt mean that. i mean that IF the game does not automatically detect your controller then you can add the games .exe file (bh3.exe) as a "Non-Steam Game" in steams menu to add bh3.exe specifically to your library, do not install honkai in steam because that wont let you use your hoyoverse account.if you add it as a non steam game to your library and then open the game that way through steam it will use steams controller detection which is better than honkai's

Usual things that can fix it is restarting your device, using a VPN, making sure your antivirus (if playing on PC) isnt blocking anything, some of them dont like the zfg web browser honkai uses. if all else fails make sure to let customer support know and good luck #how-to-contact-cs

yup, just checking. and well idk is it really bizarre that a problem started? pretty much every problem just starts happening it doesnt give you advance notice

tbh theres not much info to go on. not doing anything at all is a ton of things that could be causing that. i guess the easiest thing to do right now is to open command prompt as admin and type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter and once thats done fully shut down and then turn on your computer, dont restart it. if that doesnt do anything the next thing i'd try is to uninstall it again from teh windows apps and features settings. double check that the honkai folder is totally gone from your program files folder and then download a new copy of the launcher and reinstall it from this link https://api-os-takumi.mihoyo.com/event/download_porter/link/bh3_os/pcsea/default

and if that doesnt work then yeah could have been a bad windows update, could try rolling back your windows to some earlier version
