I have a small issue on the pc, i want to change my installation location for the update but when I cut the folder from local disk c and place it on the other local disk it doesn't detect the game file.

Which launcher are you using?

It should have a locate game files if official via the settings

Then just go to your whatever the fuck you putted it in

To detect it or just do a shortcut on your desktop of bh3.exe using alt drag

Probably you moved the folder with the launcher inside(?. moving the launcher most of the time will make it work incorrectly.
you can move the "game folder" without issues, is just the launcher folder that have problems

That's generally a connection issue with honkai servers specifically, try the stuff in the 2nd pin since all of those can fix connection issues

Please make sure to connect the controller using a USB cable or Bluetooth 4.0 adapter or higher to connect to the PC.
If the above methods do not work, please add BH3.exe to Steam, and run the game on Steam with Steam opened as Administrator with the controller detected on Steam (NOT install the Steam version of the game).
If the issue still persists, you can try using controller wrappers like DS4Windows, XOutput, SCPToolkit, and more.

Basically the game sometimes has issues with the newer DS controllers (it in general supports the older ones) but if you try the steam method just make sure that you're not installing the game but adding your existing installation with the add game option in the library menu

Yes this applies to the non steam version, if you had the steam version it probably wouldn't be an issue since you'd already be running the game though steam which has better controller detection essentially

So that's why adding your non steam version of the game to your steam library and opening it through there with steam running as admin is over if the fixes

yes it will be fine, if for some reason its not finished reinstalling before the update then when it finishes it'll just apply the update. though if you have limited data you'll save quite a lot of data if you wait until maint to reinstall

If they cant then just keep in mind that you can get to level 88 in less than a week these days if you grind hard enough and you get several S characters for free, new player rewards are pretty good so even though you spent money on your old account you'll get a lot of good stuff for starting over if customer support cant help

np, though keep in mind that you cant have two honkai accounts from the same server linked to the same hoyoverse account, so if customer support can help you you'll need to have two hoyoverse accounts, one for the old one and one for the new one

most of the time the reason your desktop is "large" before you install gpu drivers is due to windows max resolution being low

i know you said you reinstalled your drivers, but if you didnt you could try a clean ddu wipe and reinstall

nope it'll be the same size regardless of what you do after the maintainence, the update overwrites any files that are the same so the end size is gonna be the same no matter what you do. when i was talking about data i was talking about download data. if you installed it today for instance you'd download the full install, and then download the update tomorrow. if you waited until tomorrow to install you'd just download the full install. the size on your phone will end up being the same but you'll probably end up using a bit more data if y ou're not isntalling over wifi

Welp that didn't work

So I unstalled the game thinking my files were corrupt. Before I uninstalled I could access 6.9 just fine. Now I'm stuck in a situation where I can't download 6.9 or 7.0

Maybe I downloaded the wrong SEA one?

And you should just wait until the mt start that way it will install the 7.0 files directly from the 7z

the problem is that when I do the regular install through the client, i get the install error of "File cannot unzip" or something like that

so i can't download 6.9 stuff, so i might not be able to download 7.0 stuff

Most of the time that could meant 2 things, the file is corrupted or you launcher is missing the unzip program
For most users that come here is the first one

I did do a brand new install of the SEA client through their website a few hours ago so that could be it

That option is only for when you have the game files already but if you move them to another location

And on the folder you don't have them just some left over for last install and the 7.0 files

In just like 20 min should the SEA mt start and you should be able to install the game with the 7z file that you have (if is not corrupted) in the meanwhile delete the 2 folders that you have there so the install of 7.0 is going to come clean

Once the launcher change of image to the ver 7.0, click on get the game and it's going to detect the file and start installing

Still just in case copy that 7z file in another path

In case something happen to the one in the folder

Depends on where you got it. But in general this is talking about stuff like alternate task managers or some really strong anti virus. Can also try restarting if you don't have anything like that running (check your task manager, some things even if "deleted" still run because their persistent)

Then you have connection issues with the server, try with another network or use a VPN (check the 2nd pin if you need one)
Probably your ISP it's giving you a bad routing so you will have to wait for some min-hrs until they fix it

Moving from phone to PC and playing with high settings and high fps is a great experience for me, though I can't control the valks quite well as of now I believe I'll eventually learn keyboard controls.

on one hand if you have a controller or 30USD lying around you can get great generic pc controllers that will work with honkai, pc has controller support but on the other hand keyboard objectively has less input lag than a controller so you can grind harder. both have pro's and cons

mhmm you get used to it, you can also change the keybinds if you want in the settings (basic attack cant be set to mouse so dont try)

honkai supports xinput controllers (xbox) and playstation controllers except for the newest DS controllers natively. With that being said even with the newer playstation DS controllers and switch controllers theres proven workarounds to get them to work

the workaround is basically adding your bh3.exe to your steam library as a non steam game and then opening steam as admin so steam detects your controller and opening the game through that, that works for everything since steam has better support

setting basic atk in mouse can be done via key remapping on the mouse/brand software iirc. just change it into one of those excess function(f13 onwards) button and should be good. just make sure to make a different profile for HI3 specifically.

well yes any kind/style of keymapping is possible with an external software, i was talking about in the game settings since i tend to not recommend external apps like that since some of them can run afoul of the anti cheat and i dont wanna be the reason someone gets bonked for it if that makes sense

plus it can break the menu iirc since you'd be basic attacking instead of clicking on things on the menu unless you set left mouse click to both click and do basic attack button at the same time

not quite, it would fix it if the issue was during the launcher download, but the manual download doesnt do the in game one. 10030 is a connection issue so i'd recommend restarting your device and try retry and if that doesnt work try the stuff in the second pin

Just to let you know, that delete option will get rid of the complete HYV account so if you play any other game (GI-TOT-HSR...) those are going to be delete too
Do you play any of those games? Because if not it should be easier to just create a new account, and link it there, and then change login info(email) to the one you want

The only difference is that steam have their own login system so you cant use HYV there, meaning you can't:

ahhhhh the anti-cheat software still c***blocking me from opening the game orz. this is the first time this happened wtf. I've even turned off both WinDef and Firewall but still gives me the error code. And I don't have other anti-virus/anti-cheat soft installed in the laptop so what the heck is happening lol.

just checked and uninstalled some software I no longer use/play(Razer Software and Riot Valo/Vanguard) and viola it worked. Thank god it wasn't any deeper. I checked mine. some anti-cheat software doesn't show up in Task Man, so try to remember if you have any games you don't use and try to disable/uninstall those. Mine was Riot Vanguard so it's probably that or something similar.
