i think that the launcher uses that updater when the launcher detects a update while it is open (like the launcher has a different UI when it detects an update when you open it, and while it has been open for awhile)
i could be wrong but this is what i think from my observations

This updater is a separate executable. It was just a console-app but now it's GUI based. The updater is being used as a fallback if the full-update is required or the delta-update (Squirrel-based) mechanism is failed.

yeah you probably should contact cs - i remember there was a clause in the rules that said that if you didn’t respond by the time the form closed, your prize would be automatically forfeited

you need to link an email/create a password on your account to be able to use the game on pc, you can do that on the user center in the game on mobile or login to account.hoyoverse.com with your google account and then link your email

then login to the game using the email/password that you just linked to your HYV account

just in case, remember to download the correct server/client of the game to be able to use your account (your role say that you play on EU so you need to download GLB ver.)
and that the Steam ver. have their own login system so you cant use that ver.

it’s really a miss and hit - the toggle in settings turns it off in the main combat, but in some places (such as the captainverse - with luna - event) the joystick will still appear

The Chibi event does not run 24/7. If you get an error saying "Not in event schedule. Failed to create room" that means that the event is not open yet. To see when it is open tap on the Open Today box and it will show the times its open in server time. To see what time it is server time go to your Ai Chan phone in the bottom right of the main menu and it will show the server time.

The only one that is more "heavy" is the HDR option, because is not just HDR is bloom too

so:

The Chibi event does not run 24/7. If you get an error saying "Not in event schedule. Failed to create room" that means that the event is not open yet. To see when it is open tap on the Open Today box and it will show the times its open in server time. yes all that means is that you played the game before they forced everyone to switch in 2022. so what this means is that your honkai (mihoyo) account is already linked to a hoyoverse account and the account retrieval wont work becuase its only purpose is to link mihoyo accounts to hoyoverse accounts if it hasnt already been linked. but the bronya battlesuit came out after that change so your honkai account has to be linked to a hoyoverse account.

what you can do is go to hoyolab.com and try logging in with any hoyoverse accounts you can think of that you might have had like email login, twitter login, etc. and check the honkai battle chronicles for your account, if you see it then good just log into the game with that account.

if you dont wanna bother with that or cant find it then email customer support #how-to-contact-cs with your UID and explain that you cant remember the hoyoverse account its linked to and they'll start the account recovery process, you can find your UID if you dont have it written down from the account retreival screen since it shows your in game username, account level and account UID

no, they do not process account issues from in game accounts, it would be best if you dont play the game with any new account if you contact customer suport, they dont delete accounts that are out of the tutorial by policy and if you wanted to replace your new honkai account for instance with your old honkai account on a hoyoverse account that you like to use they wouldnt do that and force you to make a new hoyoverse account.

if you re-read my message it says how to get your UID and also that you need to email customer support

but personally i recommend trying some logins in hoyolab since if you find it then you dont need to contact customer support at all

Guys, I play on PC. When I open the launcher it says that have a update, then I click the update button and the update program opens and starts updating. When the updater is replacing files it says: "Fail", but it only needs that I delete the file on Honkai folder. They are the update launcher and the "MHYQtCommon.dll". And then ok, it says that the update has finished and have a button "Open Launcher". When I click it opens the game launcher and it saiys again that have a update, being an infinite cycle

general connection issues? theres no official announcement about it but we know what the cause is, the big issue is that its not on hoyoverses servers so theres most likely nothing they can do about it

to put it simply its tour internet connection to honkai goes through probably 20 different companies/ISP's before getting to honkai and somewhere along the way theres a break/slowdown/instability. The issue isn't with your internet, OR honkai servers, its some random company in the middle that your ISP keeps routing you through and is mucking up your connection. Using a VPN puts you on a different connection route to the servers so thats why it works

it could be, theres a couple of things it could be tbh, first try updating your grapichs drivers with the drivers in this link https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html

and if that doesnt work try lowering the graphics a little, if you have them near max then on some things it may be using too much of your RAM (you only have 8GB of ram and since you use an integrated GPU it has to use your regular ram as VRAM and honkai can easily use 2-6GB on medium high settings depending on your resolution so that only leaves 4-6GB RAM for both your windows, anything else you have open and honkai's regular ram usage)

hmm, could try things like restarting your phone, if your default browser isnt set to chrome try setting it to chrome. if it is set to chrome then try clearing the cache for it and stuff. but i havent heard of links not working in hoyolab too so if that doesnt work then maybe try customer support unless someone else has an idea? #how-to-contact-cs

you can try restarting your computer, if that doesnt work then you can either use one of the community launchers like collapse or betterhi3launcher in the first pin or try the connection issue fixes in the 2nd pin

ok yeah it'll have an nvidia graphics card. the reason your game is lagging is because your PC has no graphics software installed on that.

Whenever I try to do the launcher update it tells me to retry just to give me this warning. I've launched the game from files these days since but I can't keep ignoring the launcher. I need a fix :(

using the retry button doesn't work for you? and, when you get that error is the same file every time?
if that is the case, delete the updateData folder and try again (NOT mistake it with the updateProgram folder)

other thing you could do is reinstall the launcher, but remember to move the game files before uninstalling, because it will delete those files too, so you will have to download the game again

or use a custom launcher (check the 1st pin 📌)

max settings? probably not as “render accuracy” in settings is really just “render resolution”

if u set it to max, ur essentially running the game at 60fps 1440p(?)-2160p(?) which will hurt performance tremendously

if u just turn that setting down, yes, you should be able to run honkai at “max settings”

oh yeah, keep in mind abt honkai pt. 2 - from the previews we were given, it looks like u would need a rather powerful gpu… so maybe not?

max settings? i'd be surprised if it got 60 fps since it just doesnt have the vram for everything maxed out but yeah no idea about part 2, they havent released any kind of specs list for it but from a business perspective it wouldnt make sense for them to force half their player base out of the game for a graphics upgrade so it'll (probably) be playable with your card after part 2 but we'll see
