The game on PC have support for xinput(Xbox) and PS controllers, this last one have problems for some users and need to use a remapper

-Start the download again (if you get connection issues could happen again)

Well, when later came, I couldn't even start updating at all

you launcher its having connection issues, that why is showing the default img, check the 5th pin for some ways to fix/bypass the problem

and in case that you want, you can manually update the game downloading the files via mirror (check the 2nd pin)
but because you already have connection problems, check that first, if the launcher is not connecting, the game its going to experience the same issue

The Launcher should be actively looked at by the developers. America/Europe PC launcher just doesn't work.

It broke on my Windows 10 PC, it broke on my steam deck running brand new Windows 11.
It broke on my gf PC and still not working after she reinstalled Windows 10.
Doesn't work on 2 different locations with 2 different ISPs.

What's the issue you're having exactly? Is it connection issues?

Oh also a word of warning, if you install the game on a stream deck (even if it's running windows) the game frequently lags since steam deck has propriety hardware and while windows recognizes it barely the game was not built or optimized with that hardware since they don't offer steam deck support so it runs poorly on it

Please check your task manager for any active launcher tasks and end the process on any honkai processes. If that doesn't work then try restarting your PC. If that doesn't work then you can go to your games installation folder and to to games folder and run bh3.exe to open the game

It's already been reported though, should be checked and fixed quickly since I doubt they'd want players unable to play the game

The issue is as everyone said. The launcher is dead and shows v4.8. There should have been an official notice and maybe a workaround suggested by the devs. People are being told to tinker with their firewall and mess around with their settings without knowing what they are doing.
Also thanks for advise but my deck works great and HSR works even better.

tbh there has been 4 different launcher issues this patch (actually every patch theres the same 4 issues, most of which arent launcher problems to begin with but user or ISP error). being stuck on 4.8 and not updating has been fixed every time by simply using a VPN and has been the connection issue fix in here for years which is why its pinned. idk where you have been where people have been told to tinker with their firewall or windows settings but no ones suggested that in here because thats not a reliable fix (except to make an exception for honkai because if your firewall blocks the connection then no VPN or anything will fix that and iirc no ones suggested that in this patch yet)

but the devs have a dedicated customer support email that is always open to emails, as far as im aware over 95% of players dont have an issue with it so it would be weird to spam out warnings and workarounds when they have a dedicated helpdesk

just a word of caution. many users have reported issues with steam deck so i figured i'd give you a heads up. I'm glad it works good for you though

I've seen it on threads like reddit ot hoyolabs by users suggesting to each other.
I was support for Microsoft Azure and had to deal with stuff like these but there was a little banner saying some users may have issues with the service, we are working on it . From what I saw, the devs are looking at it.
The main issue was that official information is a bit hard to find online or by googling.

I uh don't recommend taking Reddit or hoyolab tech assistance too seriously, they still routinely suggest things that haven't been possible in the game in over half a year

Well yeah I'm not saying they're perfect, I think the issue that is affecting a lot of launchers is the http handshake not double checking which is why some of them have to manually update this patch but every patch there's a few dozen people who's ISP routes them poorly since honkai uses iix traffic and experience connection issues and that's why a VPN fixes that right up but that has muddied the waters a bit to who has a real launcher issue vs a routine connection issue but np!

Have to try another ISP but 2 out of the 3 major ones don't work..so maybe my country would not have a usable PC launcher for a bit.

star rail? oh yeah nothing close to honkai, if anything its closer to genshin but it uses IX traffic iirc and its on a different server entirely so not really comparable.

maybe, i usually just recommend protonVPN since its free and known to work and does not throttle your connection and the usa node since the global servers are on the amazon cloud

Can confirm, Proton VPN connected to the free Netherlands servers updates and launches the game, disconnecting breaks it. (Stills works if the game is running)
I guess none of the ISPs work directly in my country so will have to wait for some international traffic fix.

Would be interesting to see if at some point Mihoyo decides to upgrade to the Genshin/Starrail method or even engine as it seems to handle Open Worlds a lot better.

Did the delete downloaded asset option on elevator delete all game data or just CGs and VO?
I want to reduce the game size but i don't have the luxury of high speed internet, so re install is no go

well if you do delete assets it will get rid of all cg's and VO and stuff but since you're current configuration is "all asset download" the game will just redownload all 20GB or so before letting you in. the only way im aware of to pick the minimal asset option for future downloads is when you first install the game. if you're up to date with 6.6 then you have a month before next patch to at some point spend an hour or less with high speed wifi and downlead the 19 ish GB minimal asset download when reinstalling.

hmm, depends on when you installed, as far as i know event data doesnt get auto deleted but if you installed less than a year ago you'd probably save at most 1GB

but it would redownload everything except event data so it would be the majority of the game size that it would redownload

like 75% ish would get redownloaded if you deleted assets

Does anyone else have an issue with the game client messing up laptop keys? Nothing else gives me this issue, but some of the keys on my number row stop working whenever I launch the PC client.

They don't start working when it's closed, either; they just decide to start working again at some point. Occasionally I can get them to work just by pressing the key a bunch, but it's not consistent.

Never seen anyone else have this kind of issue, else I'd suggest it's some kind of issue with Windows messages, but

probably could be a overlay, a program for your laptop that need those for shorcuts, or even that the keyboard is failing (for example it happened to my before on a laptop that the fn key was stuck and make the row with some fn to stop working)

I have no overlays running, I have no other programs running, and my keyboard works fine every other time. It only has this issue when I've run the HI3 client

I wouldn't really mind, but I don't have the space for an external keyboard right now because I need to replace my keyboard tray lmao

if its consitent every time you launch the game you could test an external keyboard on your lap just once and that would eliminate hardware vs software. but i'd also check things like minecraft forge or modding apps, nvidia geforce app, lots of them have overlays too so keep that in mind.

as a last resort your could also try reinstalling the game to eliminate the game causing it since normal installation doesn't do that

steam use the same servers for coop, but need to check that is playing on the correct server (NA / EU) you cant add friends from different servers

but no, if you delete the VPN then the connection issue will return. being connected to the VPN is what is fixing your issue for honkai specifically. I recommend trying to open the game normally after today and if the problem persists then open the VPN for the day while you play. your internet service provider will fix the issue within a day to a few weeks so might need to use a VPN when playing for a little while

Yes, otherwise you would have no internet access. VPN s aren't magic or anything. All they do is force your internet connection to go to a specific place before going to wherever you were originally going to. So if you went to Google.com your internet connection would first go through your WiFi and then to the VPN server and then continue on it's way to Google instead of going to your WiFi and then to Google

But your connection issue is that your connection specifically to honkai has hit a roadblock and the VPN is how you take a detour

So CS read all that (assuming you told them that) and determined the issue was the accidental account lv 1 account. The form they sent is to unbind that account from your hyv account so you can then bind your primary game account using Account Retrieval in-game

okay so your hi3 account is a old mihoyo one (miHoYo account ≠ HYV account) so when you enter with your HYV account, that one didnt have your old data link yet, so the game create a new hi3 "data"
the good news is that your old account is not linked to a HYV yet so you can get it back, and what the email says is that you have 2 options:

-create a new HYV account to link your old account (Faster option but you will end with 2 HYV accounts: 1 for HI3 and 1 for GI-HSR)
OR
-fill the form that should be attached to the email you got to start the unbind for the accidental hi3 account (Slower but you will end with all your games on just 1 HYV account)

you can't, the only way is to check if you still have the "welcome email" from when you created the account / app install history
if you need the date for an account retrieve process you can put a date close to a version release that you remember.

I havent had lag issues in teh latest chapter but on the other hand I also dont try to max out the graphics settings to the limit of my card, i just keep it at a mid range for my GPU so it has a lot of wiggle room

generally speaking its due to hardware but on the other hand it could be bad downloaded assets though that second option is pretty unlikely since its on both your phone and pc

you can test lowering your graphics preset lower and see if the lag goes away, if not then its a files issue

not really, that screen will show up at least 1 time after the the daily reset and should not appear again until the next reset or if a new post is released, what i know is that if you have some really bad connection issues could make that appear again when it reconnect.

my game is being bugged
this is the only time this has happened and does it on both pc and mobile. doing open world, 1st samsara. objective where you have to kill three honkai zombies. i get to the objective, the game hitches, spawns me up in the air, and either directly respawns me back on the cliff where i started or i fall through the ground, then respawn at the cliff

either way, im boxed in with boundaries with no way to progress. the enemies come to me, but they disappear when they get close

oh i meant to reply to this earlier but just a friendly tip, usually the ".dll access violation" errors almost never mean the file itself is corrupt, it usually just means that was the module being run at the time it crashed. its pretty hard to pick out what's causing the issue but the output_log usually actually says what is causing the issue if that makes sense

oh and if its crashing too fast for you to change the settings, you can attempt to run the game off of your iGPU (the integrated gpu in your CPU) by going to windows settings > graphics settings and click browse and go to your honaki installation folder\games\bh3.exe and setting it to discreete graphics to use your iGPU. most of them can use all your RAM as VRAM so it might not run as smooth as your 1050 it would at least probably not run out of memory and crash

theres several, granted hoyoverse could have said nah lets ignore the downsides keep it high resolution anyways but heres why:

the files are the same ones as on mobile so all this is optimized for mobile devices that have less storage but more importantly MUCH smaller screens. the HD/SD options are more for the in game texture assets, the CG's are at a fixed resolution regardless of what your graphics settings are set to or anything of what you do.

They're also set to this low resolution because on most phones any different is not noticable but on larger screen tablets or especially PC's the quality is pretty noticable, luckily its not every cutscene and after chapter 11 i think their quality in general is much smoother and none are "bad" since the older ones were made before the transition to .usm files for the cutscenes which are better in a lot of ways but more compressed so older videos that were already lower resolution/compressed got the worst treatment

but to sum up:

-Same files as mobile
-fixed resolution
-compressed to save both space and lag
-more noticable on larger screens.

tbh if they were 1080P then the game installation on pc would be at least 40-50GB instead of the current 30 if i had to imagine

weird, those two fix like literally 99% of connection issues. maybe windows goofed up or is blocking it. can you try restarting your computer and if that doenst work then make sure honkai's exe (bh3.exe in your honkai impact 3rd\games\ folder) is allowed in the firewall/antivirus?

It's the right mouse button or q and e on your keyboard to rotate the camera (default settings) but since the mouse does a cursor and left clicking is used for menuing and clicking on things it can't be bound to anything else

you could make a AHK script but i dont recommend it and that thing can be a macro which afaik is bannable but again just dont do it

ok so its crashing before it even starts initializing anything. for this i'd recommend reinstalling the entire game since its a broken installation. Make sure you uninstall via the windows add or remove programs or uninstall.exe of your launcher folder

hmm so tbh thats not the screenshots that show the driver version dates which is what I was really looking for but if you dont want to send just screenshots of the display and system tabs then as a first thing to try is updating y our graphics drivers to the latest version

still sadly not possible, if you delete the CN ones it will redownload them when you go to login. if you really want to save as much space as possible if you currently have the all assets download option (aka you go to ai chan phone > downloads and everything is downloaded) then you can reinstall the game and pick minimal asset option which will shave off your installation from 30GB to around 25 iirc

thanks, so your graphics driver is up to date but also came out right around when your issues started. assuming you uninstalled the proper way and didnt just delete the files and redownload them I'd recommend rolling your graphics driver back to one from a month or two ago and then restarting your computer

Okay, so I installed an old driver (from march 23), uninstalled Honkai over windows system, restarted the computer, redownload the whole game, installed it, restart the computer, start the game and it still crashes. Same error unityplayer.dll caused an Illegal Instruction (0xc000001d) in module unityplayer.dll at 0033:39673361.
