Well its my first timee
i wanna play on mobile, i downloaded the game and downloaded only 1 chapter to play. Now i have wifi connection but i cant find where to download section in game
oh then your steam account wont change over. steam uses its own login system so it cant be played anywhere other than steam. other versions will use a different account

not dead, just have to log in via steam. and you can play on that account but it'll be a different account than your steam one

i dont see it happening with all characters, like hoo never has happened, but theresa story one, when i do charged attacks, sometimes my joystick aimed at diff direction, and her charged atttack animation she dashes a bit, that reset my joystick

fair enough. that might have to do with some attacks and stuff moving you a certain way so they reset the joystick to keep it from bugging out but i've never paid it that close attention and no one else in here has reported that recently.
i guess you could contact official customer support and see if they know of something cuz other than a bugged file needing reinstallation im not sure what you could do to fix something like that #how-to-contact-cs

depending on your graphics settings and your resolution it absolutely could take that much, its full rez character models. textures arent optimized for performance at all like in combat and stuff. like it takes a minimum of 2GB of vram to even render them cuz of the textures. but slap on whatever your graphics are set to times the resolution your putting it all on then yeah its a big strain on your GPU. anime art style doesnt mean anything if the character models are 2k res textures or something like that. your GPU still has to do the same amount of work if its a 2k res photorealistic tree or an anime face basically

yeah they added some new shaders iirc which are killer especially at higher graphics settings. it looks gorgeous but it's definitely putting your gpu to work

yeah if its restaring the 10gb download then that means the download got corrupted likely due to a connection issue and a VPN helps with that. but np i hope it helps!

hmm, i havent heard of kiana missing lines in the newest chapter. could try closing the game and then at the elevator login screen click the red repair icon in the bottom left before logging in and check assets. if that doesnt fix it then you could also double check that everything is downloaded in ai chan phone > downloads

Nah that wouldn't do it. If it's not doing anything at that screen it's basically attempting to log in and communicate with the server but can't. If the phone wasn't capable of rendering the game then it would start to load the bridge and crash, or crash before the elevator screen

I also know that. Your internet isn't the problem, the problem is something in between you and honkai is dropping your connection, your connection goes through about 20 different ISPs before getting to honkai servers

Yeah, lots of the game is older stuff but like for instance just going to the hub of apho2 or newer story stuff, ER, etc takes a lot of VRAM (which igpu uses RAM as VRAM and your CPU as the GPU processor) so the newer or fancier stuff will have a spike in graphics usage.
Lowering the resolution and\or the graphics settings will make it less, but technically spikes will always occur no matter what your hardware is
thanks, just found it weird since it's running it smoothly 90% of the time just the weird spikes, welp soft reboot of the game fixes it

It's cuz the cgs are hard coded with their audio so they can't just switch the audio part in a setting. It would basically double the size of the cg folder since it would have to have one copy with JP audio and another with CN audio and that would immediately add another 8ish gb to the game size which it's already really big on mobile if that makes sense
And I know I know, storage sizes on PC isn't a problem but it's not a priority for them since most players still are on mobile and s good chunk of PC players have unstable internet and struggle with the update sizes already
But it so just boils down to them using .usm format for the cg files which has the audio and subtitles hard coded into the video file itself

I'm having a small Issue here.Since I play HI3 through Steam every time I try to log in the game It says to check my Internet.My Internet connection is at Its best and I use a Tenda wireless card since I couldn't have an Internet cable.No matter how many times I click retry It can't connect to a network.
try checking firewall and using vpn like warp, honkai through steam might have some issues, you can using PC version instead

Honkai Through Steam and Honkai Original PC version have different pipelines afaik, you can't even cross account and having different channel account for steam versions

its a connection problem, not in your end, neither on honkai server, is somewhere in between, you can check in the 3rd pin some ways to fix/bypass the problem, or you can wait for the ISP to fix the problem (can take min or days)
and about steam, if you already have a account created in that ver. you have to play in there
if you account is a HYV one, then you need to download other ver. of the game.

the only ones that could help you are CS ( #how-to-contact-cs ) and tell them that you lose access to your email, but you need to know your UID for a fast response, if not you have to show your loss email and more info to show that you are the owner, but they will ask you what they need when they read your problem
you have to be patient, the process can take days-weeks

If you're 1000% certain that your good account was on steam then the only possible explanation is that you're on the wrong steam account before you open the game. It just uses your steam account ID to log in. Is there any possible chance that that before your laptop had issues that you were playing honkai on a different steam account?
That's cuz the play store mostly just checks Android OS version. Which your device has an ok version of Android to run the game but your graphics and stuff are way too low
tbh google play its only going to show if the game can start, not if the game run correctly

Let's see then, customer support can't help without a UID and stuff. Since you don't know it then there is a way to look it up on PC but you have to have not reinstalled the game since you last logged in. In the course of your computer troubles last year did you ever have to reinstall the game afterwards?

probably you didn't play on steam or not in that account, for login that ver. uses the steamID that is unique and cant be change by anything
probably its going to answer to the email you use to contact or simply just reject the form, and you need to ask again for another... but just wait for them, don't send more email until you get a response

Either different steam account or actually hoyoverse account and just forget about it. Hopefully if they can get their UID customer support can help them though

When I try to use my Edge it doesn't even recognize that I'm using a controller but the second I try using my normal Dualsense everything switches over to controller stuff.
its most likely due to the dualsense edge using different drivers than the regular dualsense.
regular dualsense is probably more compatibale with xinput for windows due to being older if i had to guess
So my best bet would be to try to use DS4 windows or something and try to trick it into a thinking it's a different controller then?

Thanks. Hope Sony sorts this whole random games on PC being supported (you'd think it would work for games from a company they invested a pretty penny in).
True. The main issue tbh is that with games on PC a lot of developers just use the xinput for Windows because it's already in Windows and works right out of the box (xinput is Xbox and generic controllers and tries for switch and Sony)
The problem is that Nintendo and Sony have their own drivers for their controllers and despite it's best efforts games that rely on xinput and haven't manually added in support for others don't always detect them if that makes sense
It does it's just annoying. I'd like to use my Edge for Honkai since both my normal Dualsenses have pretty bad drift but I guess it won't be easy anytime soon.
yeah i gotcha. it is annoying also. i know of a good controller for honkai if you want to try buying a new one but either way i hope ds4 for windows helps

If the above methods do not work, please add BH3.exe to Steam, and run the game on Steam with the controller detected on Steam (NOT install the Steam version of the game).
If the issue still persists, you can try using controller wrappers like DS4Windows, XOutput, SCPToolkit, and more.

Yea I've tried those method (usb/BT) and with going through steam. Most games just seem to not like the Edge rn. My normal dualsenses work fine just not the Edge.

everytime i exit the game it logouts my details and need to reinput email/pass again when i open.. maybe coincidence but it started happened ever since i upgrade in win11 and 6.3 patch.....not much but kinda pain to reinput everytime i log in

hmm, have you been skipping anything? some cutscenes also "include" some pre or post dialogue which can make it not unlock if you skip some of the dialogue

yes they can do that, they'll first have you fill out a form to prove you are the account owner and then they will unbind your FB once the account ownership proof is successful.
if your facebook and hoyoverse have different email then dont worry about it, or if you want you can change your email password and log it out of all devices. its never a bad idea to change your email password every few weeks

hi, could anyone help me out please? I just played the game a week ago, I ran into a problem that when I change the voice to CN, the CG is still in japanese, is there any way I could change the CG to Chinese too?
For most of the game ver. the CGs are only available in JP
but on Android and PC you can replace the files with the CN ones, you can find the files on the 5th pin (for now only the CGs released until v6.3)
Keep in mind that the CN CG only have CN sub

When I click in them, it show that they are unlocked in a chapter that I already finished
yeah just try redoing chapter 9 and dont even fast click through dialogue, just set it to auto play and let it run
cuz it will only not unlock if the game thinks you skipped it
The second one in your photo, when I click in it, it say that will be unlocked in chapter IX-2 EX1
Having clear the chapter doesn't unlock the CGs, you have to "view" them to unlock so if you skip them they will be lock
I remember seeing them before, and not skipping them. plus I'll play the chapter again later. I'm playing chapter by chapter until I get to the most current one. I'm on 22
yeah the game still just thought you skipped it or something. i'd recommend while replaying it that you just set auto play to on and dont click anything during the dialogue

I just replay this one, the CG you have lock is literally at the end of the chapter, if you skip the dialogue after the 2nd cg you are going to skip the 3rd cg

It's a ISP connection problem, check the 3rd pin 📌 for some ways to fix/bypass the problem, or you can wait for the ISP to fix the problem (can take min or days)

Your igpu should be able to use all or most of your regular RAM as VRAM which is more then 2gb which is why I was ignoring that since you have plenty (assuming that you don't have a ton of extra applications open when playing)

Then that's the issue right there. So Google play login is not the same as your email login, unfortunately you already made a honkai account (the new one) on the hoyoverse account with your email.
So here's what you'll need to do. Log in on your phone and then go to your profile > account >user center and that will take you to the account.hoyoverse.com page for the hoyoverse account your real honkai is on
Then you'll need to link a DIFFERENT email to it, then you can just log in with that email on pc

I think I'm just going to stick with blue stacks the only reason i wanted to play ch 34 was for the free herrscher drop which has already ended having to download more stuff for a game that I won't be able to play any newer stuff on and that already slows my laptop down isnt worth all this trouble as even the VPN is refusing to work
sorry for the extra ping, but the reason i asked for what your usage was was because i finally got to my computer to do some testing and with an Radeon RX 5700xt on high graphics settings preset and a 2560x1080 resolution I too am getting only 25% on the ER hub but the new open world map stuff (like new astra) or the apho2 open world hub it immediately goes to 69-72% usage. thats how much of a difference there is between the older stuff and the newer stuff so i am very curious what your usage is when you get to the newer stuff
i gotcha, thats a bummer then, if you havent uninstalled the regular pc client yet then if its not too much trouble i'd say just hold off on that for now since connection issues typically go away on their own after a couple of weeks but its up to you

yup i gotcha, if you still have more issues with teh bluestacks version you can try going into the bluestacks settings and giving it more ram and cpu cores and maybe setting the gpu in use (if applicable) to your gpu

yeah its probably a glitch with your GPU, it uses an old powerVR graphics which are notorious for having issues with honkai. i'd still try with customer support and hopefully they have a fix

that is entirely possible yes, and i dont know exactly what their plans are for the future but if it keeps with teh same trend of increasingly higher graphics requirements then i'd still recommend a 1070 or better for good gameplay, not minimum but decent gameplay if that makes sense since two years ago it could easily handle everything and now the newer stuff is around 70% usage on it (depending on your resolution of course)
with that gpu it shouldnt bottleneck if you keep it at 1080p, especially on medium preset

hmm well then tbh without knowing the model i cant say for sure but i do know that about 95% of chromebooks out there do not have the hardware needed to run the game reliably, if at all. even though its running the mobile version of the game most phones have more of a GPU than chromebooks do and on top of that you have the loss of performance from chromeOS trying to run an AndroidOS application. it technically can but it loses a lot of performance from doing that (not that it has the hardware to have good performance really)

well yeah account retreival wouldn't and hmm i think thats bugged out. but what you can do is go to account.hoyoverse.com and sign in with the same appleID as your honkai account and then in the account security settings you can link an email address to sign in with

well yes it doesnt work because im assuming you've played the game sometime in the last 9 months which means its already connected to the hoyoverse account. account retreival is strictly for linking mihoyo accounts to hoyoverse accounts (assuming they already arent)
but either way you'll need to use a different email address on account.hoyoverse.com than the one you used to get the new account but that should get you into the game

you need to make a new email (since the one you just used now has a honkai account on it)
then go to account.hoyoverse.com in your web browser.
then log in with your appleID account
then go to account security settings
then link the newly created email

you have installed the SEA client of the game, are you on android or iOS?

so iOS is showing what location you are physically + your apple accounts settings, what you'll have to do is make a new apple account for an EU country and then also VPN to said country for the app store to show the global client which would have EU/NA as options in teh server selection

Normally, this also goes off when you uninstall the app by deleting the program files

it says "email already exists" because its already being used for a different hoyoverse account (the new tutorial account one) so you'll need to use a different email address
I run HI3 on my pc. Why does the startup screen take like 20 seconds now when it's usually instant?
for that it depends there could be a couple of things that are causing it, either the game or the C++ runtime library. there are a few things you can try to fix it. you dont have to do these in order but 1 of them should fix your issue:
- reinstall the game
- repair all versions of micrsoft visual c++ runtime library (press start and then type "control panel" and open that, then go to programs and features and for ALL of the Microsoft visual C++ redistributable's right click them individually and click change and then in the next box select repair.
- Uninstall and reinstall C++ runtime library https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-remove-and-reinstall-Microsoft-Visual-C-Runtime-Libraries.html (if you do this, make sure to install the x64 one when you get to that part, not the arm or x86 one)
could be a lot of things, the amount downloaded went up a bit though in version kiana so its been slightly slower than before.

Hi, I recently requested for the accidental character on my Hoyoverse account to be unlinked so I can link my main MiHoYo account, but I'm having some issues with some of the things on the form. Is there anyone that can walk me through the process?
i can help explain some of the questoins but only you would know the answers, which questions are you unsure about?
The main issue I'm having is that it's asking for the old MiHoYo account for the character I'm trying to unlink, but since the character was created by accident on my Hoyoverse account, it doesn't have a MHY account tied to it.
well they use the same form for everyone, whether or not its a new accidental one or an old mihoyo account unlink. so just put N/A or never@linked.com. things like that

someone got rejected just above your message, and another person successfully had their account unlinked earlier today. i'd say on average most people get their accounts back (at least the ones that come back in here and say that they either got it back or got it rejected), it just depends on the accuracy of the info given

They can give you a refund if you ask them and tell the mistake, but you need to have the "currency", don't use them... Still they will give you the steps to follow, keep in mind that can take days-month depending of the payment
It's a ISP connection problem, check the 3rd pin 📌 for some ways to fix/bypass the problem, or wait for the ISP to fix the issue (can take min-days)
I heard asking for a refund was ban-able? Is it true?
If you just refund via bank/appstore they can ban you if you use the currency, so they will ask you to buy again or you are going to get a ban, thats why you have to contact CS first so they will guide you how to do the refund

You can only see a censored ver. of the username on the HYV account page, any other app/game from HYV it's going to show a nickname
It's mostly for security reason, because that is one of the ways to login to the account if you forget other

First, account sharing is against TOS and HYV can ban you for that
And a HYV username can't be change once is set...
