yeah you'll ahve to reinstall the whole game. considering you've been having corrupted file issue i'd highly recommend using a VPN before you redownload the game. it will improve the connection stability of your download (and a really good free one is in the 3rd pin of this channel, protonVPN)

i looked through your output log and the game is crashing because the audio handler thingy "(AkSoundEngine)" is doing this Failed to load default audio pck with result = AK_FileNotFound

i thought maybe it was just a broken version.txt messing with it but i guess before you totally reinstall you could try going to Honkai Impact 3rd glb\Games\BH3_Data\Plugins and deleting the AKSoundEngine file and then going to your launcher settings (3 lines right next to launch) and do repair now to redownload that file

but if that doenst fix it then its not the aksoundengine its something more fundamental than that so a total reinstall would fix that

not really, steam passes your steamID as the login and thats what the account is made from, theres no account migration service possible so they cant move your account to hoyoverse system or anything. but if you want to move it to the official hoyoverse system then just ask customer support to do it and they'll say no they cant but if enough people ask it might become a priority enough to magic that service into existance but yeah like iho said, its convinient in that you'll never have account issues but you cant play on mobile or the official pc version and cant do web events that link to your hoyoverse

Hi, my relative plays honkai and is facing issues with loading screens. She claims that normal menus don't load/render and that stages(like chronicles or story stages) don't start and freeze. I'm trying to optimize the settings for quality and file size. I was messing with honkai CG re encoding, but without adjustment it inflated the size by 10x, and trying to match the size lead to heavy artifacts

Someone has dragged me back to the CN CG audio project because they didn't like the audio desync from the audio swap tool me and cammy made awhile back. So I'm revisiting a different approach

i gotcha, so for that its mostly due to the default encoding settings. I dont know actually what honkai uses but i do know its not the default higher quality codecs that ffmpeg uses

When we made the tool, we ended up having some issues which had us rewrite the audio timing data.

We assumed that most of the files audio starts with the video and didn't bother to do a sync step.

As a result the small few that don't have audio that starts with the video now have desync'd audio.

To fix it, I'd have to add a step to sync the audio which might or might not work well, and could lead ti futher issues.

I can potentially bypass this by using a different tool, called Scaleform Video Encoder that builds USM files from scratch. But I need to dial in the encoder settings to get similar files sizes and quality to what is shipped with the game. This would also allow me to prepack all the supported subtitle languages and do higher definition versions of some of the videos that have standalone releases.

Just too keep you in the loop. There were some Audio sync issues they ran into with the tool.

also if this is your first time running the launcher after moving the game files there then just click get game and it should verify that you have everything and then let you launch

oh and also double check that in the launcher settings (not in the bottom left there but in the actual settings) it says the installation location is D:\Honkai Impact 3 sea\Games

the error you are getting is because the hyv account you try to use, already have a honkai link to it (the accidental one)
so you have 2 options:

-if you want to use the same HYV account (for example because you want to have every HYV game in just 1 account) you need to contact cs, tell them that you accidentally create a new honkai account so you are unable to link you old one, so they send you a form to unbind the lvl 1 account
-if you don't mind create a new one HYV account you can get your account link in just some minutes

if you already have a email register on HYV and created a username + password then you should be able to unlink the facebook account if you want, unless you get a error, in that case you need to contact cs and tell them the error
and about deleting is possible BUT you need to show that you are the owner of the account before they start the process (they send a form), and even after that you have a 30 day wait where you can cancel the delete process, they made that so complicated that way is really difficult for a hacker to do that process.

the difference is mainly cg's plus some audio files. but the minimal stuff is missing about 1/4 of the audio iirc plus most of the cg's which totals to around 8gb

honkai uses windows xinput for controller support. its designed for xbox style controllers and since its the windows default controller program most generic controllers use it but branded controllers like dualshock or switch pro go through a couple of hoops to work with xinput so it sometimes has some issues

but either reinstalling the controller drivers or the game itself should fix it if im understanding how it all works right

yeah it's just some corrupt files (assuming that the games folder is where your bh3.exe is, that's the default location but you never know), if there was an issue with the launcher you'd be redownload stuff in the laundry before opening the game. If the download restarts again then use a VPN while downloading to improve the stability of your connection (the 3rd pin has one of the best free VPNs in it, protonvpn)

I guess you could also try repairing your game files in the launcher settings but that's not guaranteed to work since it'll still redownload the issue files

Yeah the VPN pin, any of the things in there can work depending on what's causing your issue but a VPN does fix 99% of connection issues that last longer than 5 minutes. Official customer support recommends a VPN too for connection issues usually. If you're curious why then here's an explanation of why VPNs help #🔌technical-help message

Though with that being said usually whoever is causing the issue gets it fixed within a couple of days to a couple of weeks and then you won't have to use a VPN anymore. It's basically just a temporary solution to go around the problem until it's fixed so I just recommend trying normally and if it doesn't work then close the game, connect to the VPN and then open the game again
