but you can try this instead of reinstalling totally, go to c:\program files\Honkai Impact 3rd glb\Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets

make sure the launcher and game are closed

and delete the video folder

then open the game and before you log in, click the red repair icon at the bottom left to check for missing/broken assets and it should redownload all the cg's specifically

not really, theres not many extra files, the only way to reduce it is to reinstall and select the minimal assets option when you first open the game, though you'll have to redownload cg's and stuff when you get to them in the story

though some event resources dont get deleted so you can clean up a little bit that way by just reinstalling but depending on how big it currently is there wont be a big difference

but for the whole language thing, doing a different language just changes the dialogue and text which isnt a big file at all, the voice acting is still in like jp

its a connection issue, the problem is somewhere between your internet and honkais servers. refer to this link (will probably have to use the VPN) #🔌technical-help message

this is pinned too so if you have any connection issues in the future you can refer to it there

but close the game, try the connection issue fix thing and then open it again and hopefully it'll auto redownload everything that it needs to

1002x is not a network issue.
If you look closely, the Win32 API is returning error 1392 which is indicating that the existing file/new file cannot be created because the drive may have corrupted/having bad sectors.

so when you logged in and it started a new character thats because you logged into the wrong server, or the wrong hoyoverse account or both. if your old account was actually unlinked then it would have let you complete the account retreival and it would now be linked with the new hoyoverse account you made

so double check the hoyoverse account and server you're logging into and if you're 100% sure you're correct then email customer service with your UID and ask them what hoyoverse account your honkai is on and they'll tell you

and then you just log in with that account and you'll be in your old character

i mean my account was unlinked 2 times , first time , i unlinked with my from and they processed me that day , i created a hoyoverse account and linked to the account my mihoyo account 10 days ago, today, my account was automatically unlinked again for no reason at all, and then i checked "Account Retived" and found my account is not not linked to any account so i linked the hoyoverse account i just created today because the previous account said it was linked to another account but when i logged in If you log into your previous account, you will automatically create a new character

i play it for 10 days with the "frist account"

there was no connection issue for half and hour and then it wakes up to do this, did the ALT+F4 thing and the game ran sluggish for 5 mins and then it froze again, and it can't be the PC or the Internet on my side because i would've saw if the internet had issues or PC was in the gutters

connectino issues are almost never an issue with your internet

its always something in between you and honkai servers

cuz it dgoes through about 20 companies before getting to honkai

Intel Iris Xe uses DVMT memory allocation , that 128MB Deciated is just for the standard RAM reserve
it can take maximum up to 8GB VRAM (they have 16GB Ram)

but its 4K display , Iris Xe only suitable in 1920x1080

Intel Arc is only good for DirectX 12 and Vulkan games
Intel Arc also doesnt support DirectX 9 Hardware based , they used D3D9on12 API to translate the DirectX12 to DirectX9 API

after the setup , there is Optional Reboot option , you can choose that to reboot your system

well the reason i ask is that if you can still access your honkai account customer service doesnt really do unbinding if you can access your account

unlinking can cause your whole hoyoverse account that the honkai is connected to disappear

but if you dont care about it being gone and your honkai was made in the old mihoyo system then you can just delete the honkai's hoyoverse account and then do account retreival after the 30 days are up and it deletes

but either way if you want to try customer support just put account unbind request for the subject and then in the body of the email put your UID and explain why you want to unbind your honkai account

but id guess that whats causing your pc to crash is your graphics card failing when attempting to render all that

also as a note, VRAM size isnt everything in gpu, its also largely processing power, vram size mainly dictates how large of a resolution you can render to, and how high of textures the game can get

but for a 1080ti i would recommend the quality global preset

that should stop the crashes

@tall plank about honkai crashing your computer. Even if other games run perfect, and even if honkai runs perfect. Certain conditions could trigger errors leading to bluescreens. You might try updating your graphics driver, or lowering honkais settings to avoid those situations. (But updating a driver is easy).

As graphics cards age, certain components can wear out, so it could even be a sign of a failing graphics card. It could last years or it could last months. This is more of a general warning, not a real diagnosis. There isn't any way for me to know because I can't troubleshoot it. And tbh I wouldn't want to even if I could. Diagnosing intermittent graphics issues is something you'd have ti pay people to want to do.

you can try to reinstall your driver
1.download DDU and extract the compressed files (DDU uses Installer now , you can run the installer after you extracted)
2.Download the Latest driver here : https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/199655/en-us/
(You can download the Latest Intel graphics driver too here : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/762755/intel-6th-10th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html , Intel graphics is a bridge for your Nvidia graphics to your Display)
3.Open DDU and choose Graphics and click Nvidia , choose Uninstall and Restart
4.wait until your desktop restart
5.Open the Nvidia graphics driver that you have download it , click express installation
6.After that your screen will be blank for 1-3 seconds , restart your notebook

For Intel graphics driver , there is Execute Clean installation when you open it , make sure to check that box and you can click install (your screen will be blank for 1-3 seconds) and then click Optional Reboot

and usually just end tasking fixes that

maybe the program just stopped and stayed open, did you try to open several times by chance?
anyway you can close them without problems from there, but if it happens too often again you may have to reinstall the launchers.
and remember that you must close the launcher "manually" once you close the game, that's why it is set to maximize once it detects that there is no game running.

now onto this form. you are trying to unlink your NEW, ACCIDENTAL honkai account. for the purposes of this form just forget about your old honkai account. every question on this form applies to your accidental honkai account and the hoyoverse its linked to. so if it asks when you created the account, put the date you started that accidental account. if it asks for the old mihoyo account username, put NA because its not applicable

if it asks about the hoyoverse, you answer about the hoyoverse the accidental account is linked to

My Goal is to unbind the HoYoVerse account in my Honkai acc (main). Then link it with my Genshin Acc HoYoVerse account.
But the Genshin Acc HoYoVerse account has a Honkai account started on it apparently at the very start (I prob clicked on it) & 2nd problem is that I need to unbind the Honkai one or Genshin one to link with another (I don't really care which HoYoVerse account stays. I just need both my main account in both Honkai and Genshin are in the same HoYoVerse account.)

then fill out all the info about your old account. forget about the accidental one for now. every question is about your old account and its hoyoverse. after this form is done you'll need to email customer service again and ask for an unlink with the UID of your accidental account and then once they give you a new form you'll need to fill that one out with your accidental accounts info. these forms are unique so you cant fill this one twice, have to get a new one

or i guess you could just ask first if they could delete it since its not done with the tutorial yet but they'll probably make y ou do the form again

i think if its below lvl 12 then its ok, but they might have changed their policies. either way you can always ask once they've unbound your old account. just fill out the form, then email them and explain what you're wanting to do and that you didnt get past ch 1 and just want it gone so you can link it with your genshin. if they need you to fill out the form a second time then thats how its gotta be
