right, and as of july 30th 2022 they got rid of the mihoyo login because it was an old, out of date account system with a lot of security issues, and honkai impact was the only hoyoverse game that was not using the hoyoverse account system and as of 5.8 you can only log in via hoyoverse accounts

the solution provided earlier IS the only solution. the root cause of your issue is your internet is corrupting file downloads due to slow/unstable connection and theres no real way to fix that. i think the record for deleting and redownloading those files was 25

tbh thers no trick for looking that up. if it says there was no email registered then it didnt use that email. if its a gmail then try the google play on mobile. its possible you started on mobile with google play but you thought it was your gmail since the login looks the same.

with the registry finding your UID trick, as explained, that only works if you have not reinstalled the game

then the only think i can think of is try a few different usernames on pc, try everything you can think of. the problem is though that without your UID customer service cant find your account so you can also try asking any in game friends to look it up (they can see your UID in game) or by searching for old screenshots or something. if you find your UID then customer support can help but otherwise i just hope you guess the right username/password

i had a friend who had their secondary monitor just shut off completely until they did windows updates. but at least try the reinstall first and if its still giving problems then you might need to first work on those first

the game client without the launcher saves about 500 MB but it'll still ahve to download like 25GB overall

it'll be the nearly 10GB download and then when you start the game the inital CG cutscene and download with full assets will be about 13.5 GB i think

Hello, when i play honkai in pc client the characters dont appear during cutscenes and only dialogue comes i tried repairing the files in game but it says the files don't have any issues

As the game receives frequent updates, it slowly requires higher system requirements over time.

unfortunately there is no fix for this tbh. its a hard requirement that 2GB of VRAM is needed to reliably render characters in dialogue

if you have an integrated GPU (aka one of those CPU's that also is a GPU) then it uses regular RAM as VRAM so you can attempt to free up enough RAM by closing as much background apps as you can to free up RAM usage to allow it to use it as VRAM

@silver urchin honkai doesnt work being split on internal and external (sd card) storage. even if it was programmed in a way to allow it to work because the data transfer rate on SD card is slow the stage loading time would be in minutes as opposed to seconds so thats why they just didnt program it in as an option. Sorry but there isnt really a way to move it to SD card and make it work reliably

so that is for the reinstallation folder which is why it recommends it to be empty. To just change the folder where its looking for where the game is just go to settings and then find game files and point it to the same folder that has bh3.exe and that should do it assuming you didnt mess up the folder structure when copy/pasting.

That would be an unstable internet connection causing that. Not an unstable connection in general but an unstable one to honkai specifically. If you get fluctuating download speeds again then use a VPN because that fixes connection issues. If you don't have a VPN then proton VPN is both fast and free

So the core issue is you don't have a dedicated GPU so your integrated GPU in your processor has to use regular RAM as VRAM and ER being one of the more graphically intensive parts of the game it uses up too much RAM and freezes up cuz your computer won't give it anymore.

You can try turning the graphics settings as low as they'll go to ease up on it and maybe also kill some of your background apps to free up more RAM but unless you get more RAM or a dedicated GPU with at least 4gb of VRAM the main issue is that your computer is below the minimum requirements.

Another thing you can try is seeing if there is an update for your graphics driver's, they're over 2 years old and don't even support directx 12 which the game does use a bit of

Edit: double checking your CPU I'm not even sure if there is a more recent driver for it. I haven't seen celerons in a long time

Oh also I should point out that with every update the game gets a little more resource intensive so if it was working fine in ER like a year ago that doesn't necessarily mean it'll work fine now because the requirements have gone up

I gotcha. Maybe try updating the driver's then but the bottom line is that even with all the optimizations your computer is still below the minimum requirements in multiple areas (GPU and CPU mainly) so I can't guarantee anything will get it to run smoothly

Another thing to check is in your bios settings you can try to give your CPU more shared memory so it'll be able to render things.

Not really. The game uses 2-3gb ish of RAM regularly but if you add the RAM your CPU is using to try and act like a graphics card it gets high like that

Game requirements is 4gb of VRAM

For the minimum so since it's trying to use RAM as that then you get higher RAM usage

I mean it seems weird but I've seen it over a dozen times. Any problem has to start sometime and the fact it ran fine before was a combination of coincidence and if you go even further back in time the games requirements were lower. But as you say, it only started when you reinstalled Windows so that's why I suggested a couple of things instead of just saying your PC is below the minimum there's nothing you can do. But even if I'm right and you have a driver update that helps that doesn't change the fact your PC is below the minimum requirements. So that's why I can't guarantee the game will run fine because it's not supposed to run fine on your PC.

But if it helps I can guarantee that this isn't a memory leak because if it was then assuming you uninstalled it with the uninstaller and reinstalled it normally then that would have fixed a corrupt file causing memory leaks

But either way I hope that there's a driver update that will help, or if your bios let's you give your integrated GPU more RAM that helps.

Oh also I just remembered from your screenshots, if you aren't running the game as admin then you need to do that too

Are you trying to do account retrieval? If so then if it's not giving the details from your apple id then it might be the wrong server if you've moved.

If it's happening in the wireless settings in Windows then that doesn't sound like a honkai issue. Did it behave the same on both USB and via Bluetooth? You could try turning off Bluetooth to see if the issue is with Bluetooth and for whatever reason honkai is using the Bluetooth then though it's plugged in via USB

Could also manually check for Windows updates to see if anything like that is making it screwy

it should have those for some of them, you playing with pc or mobile? also what happens instead of the end cutscene? keep in mind that they recently changed it to flow from one stage to the next so you wont get the victory screen until you are either out of stamina or complete a large chunk of the whole chapter and get to a stopping point

oh yeah thats normal. its the way to move you into the next story chapter without a victory screen and going back to the menu and stuff. the old stages used to ahve to go in, win, get the victory screen, get kicked back to the menu, select the next stage and go back in. they changed it to this way to both work with the old stage design system and make the story more streamlined so you dont get an immersion break every 5 minutes
