Something that the devs constantly are working on. It's an arms race, and its very hard to patch out a cheat before it exists. Anticheats also don't work the way you think they do, and almost always are a wide net to catch ones common to an engine. Most cheats nowadays are made specifically for that one game in particular, and so too must their prevention methods.

Even triple A games still have issues with cheaters and playing catch up against them. It's not something unique to The Isle or these devs. If even studios with more money than god still face cheaters, of course an indie game is going to too.

That's not how things work. Yes, we could use a different anticheat, but that doesn't mean it will do any better of a job. Anticheats are largely broad nets to catch common cheats already known in an engine. They do very little to actually prevent cheating itself, prevent the development of new cheats, and can do nothing for cheats it cannot recognize. It's a computer, computers cannot think or learn.

Anticheats are not the sole meaasure against cheaters either, it's a long and slow process done by the developers of the game putting in methods to make cheats not work. You largely CANNOT do that until a cheat already exists. It's an arm's race with an ever moving target, and no method will work forever.

You can make suggestions over in #general-feedback, however there could be a few issues with such a system just from what I know: Computers aren't perfect, and don't understand nuance. We don't want it to falsely flag people and issue rollbacks independently when it could mess with other people's progress. False flags happen all the time, such as a while back if you fell off a cliff as a galli, the game would think you were speed hacking and kick you. It could also cause issues if say, someone wants to play something else after.

its because you're not in an active pz or mz! stay in there for a little while or travel to another pz or mz to get diets. not all diets will be available for you. i dont know the exact reason for it, it just be like that i suppose

basically as a herbivore you can trigger those zones to actually spawn diets for you, it usually works faster when you're in a herd

yes, its a strange system but that bascially sums it all up. usually there are already diets but they spawned in for someone else so theyre old diets and those arent edible. you can get sick if you eat those, see them as plants that had gone bad xD
just travel around and always make sure to sniff for diets because they could be anywhere! do you use a map or do you just play by memory? i can send you a link to the vulnona map!
