Gilgamesh here, I figure a heavy chunk of the reason I don't get many people who try to interact with me is due to the center. But my partner has a medium house and I managed to snag two smalls on separate occasions (one in a different ward, then I got mega lucky and snapped up a plot RIGHT next to the medium we already co-own because someone abandoned the plot) so there we stay.

We could always travel of course, but we've got plenty to do still so we just toil away in our little grinds for the moment.

Far too many people treat it like a job, it's so sad. We recently had a healer running way ahead of the (returning player) tank in a stormblood dungeon and despite the entire party voicing their displeasure, they were incredibly rude about it. Poor tank just wanted to go grab the treasure coffers, meanwhile the healer was off trying to facetank a giant pull for the sake of "GO FAST"

Sometimes I've gotten overzealous and accidentally threw my scythe into a pile of enemies before the tank can reach them, and while I'm DRKing myself I don't mind too terribly if people pull for me because I'm all for absolutely insane clench-worthy wall to wall to wall pulls anyway. But doing that to a new or rusty tank... 😬

People rushing and pulling ahead of struggling tanks is the biggest thing that put me off tanking for the longest time. Tanks were the last set of classes I touched. I levelled all of the healers before I dared try tank.

I used to be a tank and I absolutely understood it whenever it happened. It's funny how people say tank or healer are more difficult, when now to me, dps is the most demanding LOL

HONESTLY. The biggest thing I learned while getting every class to 80-90 is that tank is the easiest class to play as long as you have a good handle on your kit. Healer and DPS can kind of tie for the most demanding depending on a few factors.

If it's aurum vale and the tank is a new WAR missing most of their kit, trying to pull the entire first room into the boss area? Healer is miserable. If you're going up against an endwalker trial? DPS is going to work you overtime because 99% of the mechanics are designated to you specifically.

Tank almost never has to deal with boss mechs other than tankbusters and stray aoes, so it's my go-to for when I want to chill most of the time... But oh man. Recently helped my partner farm ||Hydaelyn|| (Late EW trial) for the triple triad card and the amount of dps failing the mechanics, dashing into the kill wall, and accidentally stacking aoes on each other was unreal lol

I have one class of each type I like, though I only ever bring my sage out anymore for farming treasure maps or running content as a duo if needed. Not because I don't find it fun in content, but just because I find reaper more of an adrenaline rush especially in later content.

Honestly? Yeah. That's how DRK feels to me honestly, its burst windows are fun and even though I'm technically not doing as much as a DPS I still feel like one :')

Sage was wild to play against Neo Exdeath and God Kefka for the savage mounts LMAO especially with only one other person. So many instakills and knockbacks and nonsense that'd obliterate me if I didn't stack euk diag, kera, and haima on myself

I think I burnt myself out on healing after those though... For now.

lool, I never played healer in any MMO tbh, so sage felt right to me and I love being the clutch healer when the time calls for it. I grew out of tanking, the homogenization just got to me. Now I can't play DRK without it feeling just like WAR to me lol

Meanwhile I couldn't wrap my head around WAR for some reason, DRK feels like the tank version of RPR though so I gravitated toward it hard. Blackest Night is an amazing counter ability and it's so satisfying to pull off consistently, even though I know WAR is an "objectively" better tank in most scenarios.

FFXIV is the only mmo I've enjoyed enough to actually sub to, so basically anything outside of DPS was foreign to me prior. I usually enjoy a bit of everything in other games though and the same quickly applied once I got comfortable with my preferred classes and found what felt right.

All of the tanks 1-2-3 to earn something so they can 4, or so they can 4-5-6, and then weave something in the middle. I respected DRK a lil more during SB, not that I think it was better because it was definitely clunky.... but now all of your MP goes towards the same things and mechanically it feels like it's a little repetitive to me now I guess

Tbf, some DPS play that way as well. I attribute my enjoyment of the classes to my button setups tbh, I rebound all of the number keys except for 1234 to my mouse buttons, q, e, f, and several other keys around wasd. The rotations just feel good and activate fun brain neurons.

That, and even though I started playing FFXIV during SB's release, the mentor that introduced my partner and I did such a poor job of it that we quit until endwalker came out LMAO so we never got to experience classes before their reworks.

Bad job as in, mentor made us stand in the corner during the slime boss in copperbell mines so he could, unsynced, kill it as a monk just to force us through the story. We just weren't allowed to go at our own pace and that almost turned me off of the game entirely.

Before the rework in Stormblood though, it absolutely was. You had a tank pull it, then the healer make sure the tank doesn't die, and someone pushed a button to spawn a bomb and then... explode it on the slime, repeat 3 times and boss dead/

Which by the time we got to them I was so put off because they so heavily rely on your enjoyment and understanding of the game otherwise to find them remotely funny.

ok so basically i found a little bit of it, my characters sword is one of the sentient swords the raven queen made with magic, through the sword i made i pact with the raven queen to go around killing specific people and once i collected there souls i could then summon the raven queen during a long break and basically upgrade my sword. each time i would get new targets afterwards for another upgrade and basically by the end of the playthrough i would have a plus two sword with some sort of enchantment that helped me in combat

Desert monitor

The desert monitor (Varanus griseus) is a species of monitor lizard of the order Squamata found living throughout North Africa and Central and South Asia. The desert monitor is carnivorous, feeding on a wide range of vertebrates and invertebrates
Range :

Desert monitors normally display a variety of body coloration from light brown and yellow to grey. They average about one meter in length, but can reach total body lengths of almost two meters. These lizards can also have horizontal bands on either their backs or tails, along with yellow spots across their backs. Their young are normally a brightly coloured orange and have distinctive bands across their backs which may be lost as they mature. Their nostrils are slits located farther back on their snouts (closer to the eyes than the nose), and their overall body size is dependent on the available food supply, the time of year, environmental climate, and reproductive state. Males are generally larger and more robust than females. Those differences allow males to be distinguished from females. Like all lizards, they go through periods of molting in which they shed their outer layer of skin to expand their overall body size. For adults, this process can take several months and happens around three times per year. Their skin is adapted to the desert environment where they live, and they are excellent swimmers and divers and have been known to enter the water occasionally to hunt for food
Patterns :

Desert monitors goes into hibernation from about September to April. In April is a mass exodus from their hibernation, and they become most active between May and July. During the middle of the day, the lizards mainly stay in their burrows and only come to the desert surface to search for food. The monitor lizards require approximately 3 to 4 full hibernation periods (years) to reach their full size (about 55–65 cm excluding their tails) and at least 3 hibernation periods before they become sexually mature. The overall lifespan of desert monitors in the wild does not normally exceed around 8 years in both males and females

Desert monitors are cold-blooded ectotherms whose behaviours therefore depend on the outside temperatures. Many lizards become sluggish in cold weather and even may become inactive if the temperature decreases substantially. Their olfactory and nerve signals significantly slow down, which severely limit the lizard from either catching potential prey or escaping from predators. The body temperature of desert monitors is directly proportional to its running speed between the temperatures of 21 and 37 °C. Between those temperatures, the running speed of the monitor lizard increases from a little over 1 m/s at 21 °C to around 3 m/s at 37 °C. Over 37 °C, its running speed does not increase, and below 21 °C, the lizards are extremely sluggish. If they are being pursued by a predator while their body temperature is less than 21 °C, they will not flee, but will instead hold their ground and become extremely aggressive

Desert monitor reproduction normally takes place between May and July. Copulation occurs in May and June, and the lizards normally lay their eggs from the latter part of June through the beginning of July.[7] The eggs are incubated at temperatures from 29 to 31 °C, and hatch after an average of 120 days. At birth, the baby lizards have a total length of around 25 cm.[10]

The Ross seal (Ommatophoca rossii) is a true seal (family Phocidae) with a range confined entirely to the pack ice of Antarctica. It is the only species of the genus Ommatophoca. The coat is colored dark-brown in the dorsal area and silvery-white beneath. At the onset of the Antarctic winter, the coat fades gradually to become light brown. Females give birth to their young on the ice in November. Pups are nursed for only four weeks before weaning. I was gonna say for the one with bones coming out if the wrists, if you want a more realistic and grotesque image. He wouldn't really be able to walk on his feet properly with the bones sticking out like that. Since the bones support the wrists it would make more sense that it's walking on the protruding bones with his hands and wrists flopped to the side or behind. It would also look more disturbing if that's something you wanted to go for
