Survival is the standard way everyone plays, however pvp comes in play whenever you are hunting/being hunted. There are PVP servers, but as a new player I wouldn't reccomend those rn

Ahh.. Well the AI animals do attack and it just takes trying to get behind them or pouncing them to do enough damage and avoiding their attacks until you kill them. It takes some practice but in the meantime try to go to a sanctuary (when you sniff with Q, go to the icon with the palm trees)

austroraptor is 240kg, but it will probably have pin vulnerability. If the vulnerability is any more than -18% weight required to pin then it will be pinned because then austro is 196kg (in terms of being pinned)

Cerato is able to eat rotten flesh, grows pretty qucikly, you eat a rotten corpse and it fills your teeth with food poisoning which you can give to a player by holding right click and biting them, also i think has best carnivore bleed res, not rlly and major downsides i can think of

When I'd practice the swing timing and whatnot as a baby, if I didnt hit the next swing RIGHT as the tail came back to its tallest point, but a moment after, itd stall. Like somewhere in the 1.5-1.7sec range was a window I could rapid-fire, but if i clicked around 1.7-2.1 seconds, itd stall and id have to wait to swing again

The mangroves are MOSTLY hugging the shoreline and not sorta broken scattered in the shallow water much to allow ptera many opportunities to fly below between them, but they're gorgeous to fly over and observe, saw a lotta life down there. carnos, beipis, baby rexes.

I imagine since its the first pass we'll see more polish and thought to their placement in the future though so I'm not like, upset or anything

well, you always start at water access.

What I do is I immediately fly to the water access sanctuary(and hit the PZ that is always right next to it.)

USUALLY, more often than not, there's corpses and babies galore for you to opportunistically scavenge. If not, hey you hit sanc.

coast down from there to delta, riding the wind current. Usually this automatically takes you over 2 or 3 other patrol zones, and if you skip water access sanc there's delta sanc.

Then hit the thermal and just fly to south plains.

I almost always get prime this way. Only times I don't is if I can't find a corpse early or have an awful time finding frogs and chickens when small to kill before I can make it to south to get y diet from turts and tacos
