I own all 3. Entirely depends on what you are after. Ive played isle far more than the other two because i like the satisfaction of a gritty survival. Pot if you play it on officials is just kill to decorate your cave or customize your dino essentually. Bob is good if you want more environmental survival but its fallen behind the other two in enjoyment for me personally

Well you gotta nerf Rex speed and stam. Right now it runs down just about everything. Rebalance it for ambush after juvie.

I actually really wanna see an updated prime system with it where one requirement for land apex is to kill one of the same kind after sub adult when you are sub adult to kind of simulate fighting for territory the way crocs do for food right now. Like you can't be prime without proving yourself in combat against a similarly sized foe and taking over.

Pin on Rex is weird. Crush and throw is plenty. Pin makes it feel a lil like everything else but bigger. Cutting Pin and buffing the other parts of its kit (sprint crush throw) would make it feel more unique.

Make it get hungrier faster. This helps juvies grow and hurts big one.

But there's other ways you could do it for sure.

Ik I was trying to find it since you asked. I broke down the two games into many different points but I’ll just summarize my feelings here. It boils down to the fact that legacy was more fun and playable to me, and that’s all that matters. I know Evrima has more mechanics and systems but if it’s not fun and/or doesn’t work then it doesn’t account for anything to me. Over the years a lot of its systems have been unbaked and buggy, which made me take long and frequent breaks from the game. At least in legacy everything was functional and I always died due to my own lack of skill.

I also enjoyed the atmosphere, graphics, and maps more. Something about nighttime was far more terrifying than in evrima, I think it’s prob a combo of the old NV and footsteps audio.

I know legacy is pretty lacking compared to Evrima now but it seems I’ve been more bored or frustrated in my hours of Evrima and i remember never really feeling that way in legacy. I know a lot of people feel the opposite tho and I respect that

I get what you mean with taking breaks from evrima to the buggy mechanics but the only reason legacy is dependable is because it had nothing other than tail riding to account for, there was no "lack of skill" in legacy, it depended in the turn radius of your opponent and yourself and whether or not they could manage to stay behind you and eat your rear lmao

Just got here. For me, the way sound travels made you stop in your tracks as soon as you heard something. Now, it feels like the sounds from a distance anyway are more muted than I'd personally like.
My other personal critique is the NV. It did a better job at conveying a horror feeling. Something similar to what we have now mixed with the NV from Legacy would be chefs kiss in my opinion.

The sounds that come from Rex are a bit of a downgrade from Legacy too. Apart from the paleo calls. They're great.

I don't personally think Legacy was functional by any means, and skill expression was pretty much on the floor. Bite ass until one of you wins, was not my idea of fun. And I get that can be subjective so I won't harp on that too harshly. The atmosphere is the #1 thing I see that I can somewhat sympathize with since that's purely subjective. Graphics I just don't agree with, Legacy looked like a raw potato. Maps I'd agree until we got a good version of Gateway. Once Gateway had some good updates I personally feel its better than V3. Nighttime was interesting but equally frustrating, I can remember the headaches I got straining my eyes, I prefer the current NV feel as I can actually play the other half of the game now when I'm not a Dilo.
Keep in mind I also quit Evrima for like 2 years until recently so my opinions on Evrima have drastically improved as I've been playing it these past few months.

Yeah combat was basic you’re right about that, but I think there were still plenty of simple things legacy did right compared to Evrima. Some examples being the fact eating/drinking always worked and getting trapped inside trees or bushes wasn’t a thing. I still have often have trouble drinking water in Evrima it’s crazy
