Troodon is a small carnivore designed for taking down big game prey through its high pack numbers (through its venom but the idea is that it likes big packs)
For velo it would be the complete opposite, a species designed for capability of surviving on its own through being a master of scavenging from the larger world

i did play a bit of spino in isle legacy. it was never completed and honestly kind of useless. its stamina and turn ratio was its absolute saving grace, which probably isnt going to be relevant in evrima

All these features added together would make velo great at terrain navigation in any scenario its in, whether its traversing, scouting, or getting out of predation scenarios

Anyways, to sell velos scavenging capabilities ive given it an ability ive nicknamed 'thievery'
Instead of having to go through a 2 second grabbing animation, which leaves you still and vulnerable, velo can be able to grab food while running and maintaining its speed. Whether its grabbing food off the ground or ripping off meat chunks, velo can just run by and take a bit of food before dashing away to safety without the worry of its speed being impeded

As for diet variety, obs small ai & small dinos for hunting opportunities, maybe even rotten meat and bones to add more scavenging opportunities, but I am really keen on giving it omnivory in being able to eat fruits, since foxes are also omnivorous, though I do want the plants to just be small supplements in its diet rather than it being able to just survive without any meat

nope theres like 10 bugs regarding eating rn, theres the bug that doesnt let you hold e on stuff just to eat it on the floor, theres the picking up a organ makes it un eatable bug, theres the trying to grab organs out of a body and makes the body do a back flip and its uneatable now, and then theres the you actually do get to eat the body/organ but it doesnt fill your stomach or diets and the organ/body just gets eatin away without you actually getting any food or benefit from it

I'm not confident that everything will be able to enter burrows, but time will tell. I always assumed Hom would be Hypsi/Troo sized, Dryo is a bit large for me. It's a neat idea, I just don't know how well it works for such a tiny tier.
