I think the real issue is just the amount of animations you’d need to make in order for it to always be planted. Because a dibble isn’t the same height as a Maia, nor is a Maia the same height as a Sucho. It would always have its feet lifted up to some degree.

Because latch points are a single set area and never change, you’d have to make like 4+ different animations to ensure it can be planted at all times for various heights (since it’s not possible to be planted while using the same animation for 2 different heighted animals)

So (in theory) the alternative is to create another latch system specifically to Allo that allows it to latch to a hitbox rather than points. But now you run into problems like being grounded but it looks like I’m latched between a camara’s legs, or I’m latched to a Rex but I’m holding the air below its belly rather than its leg.

This is likely why they went for the easy route to just work with what they already had and try to make it work best as possible. Because fundamentally you have the same mechanic as Omni

Fore the point 4, Idk how to get perfect diet beside killing inoocent players or finding organs on a cadaver, as long as I can't extract organs from AI boar deer or goats.

Is there any other way to get prefect diet ? It often is the point I fail, haviong perfect diet

For what it's worth, I just went to remind myself of carno's diet, and your Gamma diet is achievable only by killing something, or as you said, getting lucky finding a body with organs still inside. Dilophosaurus is able to get a perfect diet while only eating A.I. and ceratosaurus can get all three diets from eating bones, if that's any help.

Well first the Allo would grab the legs and first it would bite into the tights, neck, tail because cutting up the belly would require Allo to use its claws and trash the mid section of the body thag still would have resisting scales that potential make Allosaurus's claw not be able to rip into the skin.

It's an ambush hunter that attacks from above in trees or on rock faces. It's able to one-shot an omni or an adult dilophosaurus with a drop to the head. The problem is that its prime is difficult to achieve and awareness of hotspots is the main key to its success.

My main issue with gateway is unironically enough how the waterways don’t connect or have a rhyme or reason to how & where they flow from

Highlands is also a major issue, not because it exists but where it’s placed. Because an area designed to be an uphill traversal is effectively the middle of the map next to Riverdelta (an area not suited for a fair chunk of the roster), traversal for the middle of the map becomes annoying

Choke points are important yes I agree. You still have those primarily through bridges & canyons. But at least on my map I added this area here. A stretch of land between riverdelta & the Savannah’s. It’s a quicker way to travel than going around a dome but it forces you to cross a river, take a detour to a bridge, and choose to remain in the wide open or the jungles which both could have predators waiting. You could opt for the swamp but not everything is adapted for that

What I meant by migrations is that players bumping into each other should naturally come from MZ’s. Players travel, find each other at zones, and when zones move carnivores move on/relocate to travel spots the herbivores often take to get to their next zone

A high elevation area in the middle of the map doesn’t work when it’s already funneling players into a specific area (central highlands) due to the layout all just being uphill grass. Rarely is anyone ever going to meet through those traveling spots. Hence why it would be better off to the side a bit

Now if you did want to keep it near the middle I’d recommend cutting the uphill all together and truly make it more Cliffy & mountainous. With strict paths you follow.

Traveling to uphill areas should have stricter pathing and not be so wide open. Because you want players to meet while traveling. Otherwise you basically have a glorified grassland without the ability to run (cause you fall and die)

If highlands was an area at the top of a mountain rather than an area that connects through wide open downhill grassland, that would feel better

But my goal was more so to use what we already had. But you def could make highlands work where it is, by altering the pathing

It’s why I actually really like the way you enter swamp. You have strict paths to follow (for the most part).

The problem is that it’s leading to swamp which is already not an ideal area for most of the roster
