Spiro has better graphics and ground textures and the night vision is better making sure you can always see but you can get ambushed since the predator sees farther, also the layout was very smart you either cross the rivers to get somewhere where you need to be or walk around the long way or go out in the open plains and risk being spotted and hunted, gateway doesn’t have this also im pretty sure the p/m zones worked better on spiro

Then you'd never played Spiro at its height, you would only find players at 2 spots, it underwent about 5 iterations of night vision because the community constantly asked for improvements, the current night vision is the one I've seen most people happiest with, ambushes being set up relies more on skill than map layout, and the river crossing is a semi-valid point, but you shouldn't be designing an entire map to cater to deinos, and the gators stuck to the same 2 points everybody else did

After a few fights with Mocha, I can say for sure, what you described is how it feels right now. If Rex gets the jump on a Trike, it'll likely win. If it's head first, it really depends on the player.

The bleed is fine. The anti-pounce is a little goofy and if they fixed the way, the charge works so that it’s only gaining power when you’re moving and doing basically nothing when you’re standing still, it would be fine.

Oh sorry. So I was saying. I can agree with your statement about Deino being in a vital resource and that is why you think it is a threat/harder to avoid than Rex.
So lets say they give it a cue before it attacks so it can be avoided.
If the Cue is easy to notice then the Deino becomes useless as once people learn that "huh that noise means deino" they will not get ambushed. Which will get balance complaints quite fairly so why add the cue.
If the Cue is too hard to notice for most players or "If they are not paying attention" they will miss it, then nothing really changes as most people will still be got by Deinos. So why add the cue.

The cue would need to be good enough to allow people currently being ambushed to not get ambushed, in which case the people who don't get ambushed are now harder to ambush. So what happenes when everyone becomes hard to ambush?
Do we apply this logic to other things in the game?
Do we buff the ambush once everyone is no longer being ambushed?
What about the "skill" of the ambusher or the "skill" of the target to avoid the ambush?

Now do I like the idea of being able to see Deino eyes poking out of water when they are near the surface 100% I think that is cool.

I will say the last Deino that I grew I did enjoy spending time in water access being the bane of Ptera lives. It made me appreciate it being the spawn point for Pt given that it ties it with Deino. You naturally want to spear fish and then poof gone.
