It depends on the matchup. Old Rex was much stronger in his juvie and sub stage because he had such high raw damage. Now juvie and sub Rex damage is low but also fracture damage is low so they can’t fracture stuff anyways. Old Rex would decimate a stego easier than new Rex. New Rex needs 3 crushes to fracture old Rex but old Rex only needs 3 crushes to put new Rex into wounded health and then just face tank the new Rex after he gets fractured lol. then tweak the crush so it can ONLY be used as an ambush, for example tie it to only being able to be used with the ambush speed, but buff it up EXTREMELY, for example if you ambush a trike and hit its body you do MASSIVE DAMAGE and almost fracture it, if you do NOT hit the body and hit the face, you take damage, also make rex not be able to crush if not sprinting and with ambush speed so instead of it being a literal brawler like it is now, it will become more of an ambush predator

Locking Rexes main ability behind ambush is a horrible idea. You can get out 2 crushes max out of it. Don’t forget headbutt doesn’t even stun trike so you can’t even do headbutt + bite combo. If the Rex gets stunned ambush speed also goes away, this isn’t a problem if ur ambushing trike but it’s a problem for stego. Rex would basically never win against a stego. Headbutt animation takes too long to play out so stego will dog walk Rex and Rex can’t use normal bites against stego since it doesn’t stun. It’s just not a good idea at all
