so i've been having intermittent issues with evrima, more often than not it won't start, i thought deleting the easyanticheat and verifying fixed it but no, when it would start (like once out of 15 tries) it would launch vr along with it, i thought nothing of it and just dealt, today i decided to unplug my hmd and turns out isle now starts every single time!

tl;dr, those with pcvr that are having trouble with evrima starting/not starting at all unplug your usb and hdmi/DP cables that are connected to your hmd from your computer and see if it works

So for the past year I haven't been able to play because whenever I load the game, it gets past the anti-cheat bit, goes black screen and nothing happens and then just closes after 60 seconds of black screen. I have tried almost everything, I have deleted everything to do with the game and downloaded it again multiple times and it just does nothing. I have no idea what to do now. I don't know why it crashes, whenever I revert back to legacy, it loads and I'm able to play, it's literally just Evrima. Is there a way I can change the loadup settings before/without launching the game, perhaps changing the screen ratio or settings might help. Any help would be appreciated.

At one point, I even wiped my computer and started a fresh copy of Windows 8.1, and it was still not working.

It used to work over a year and a half ago, and I played hundreds of hours within just weeks of having the game and then I messed around with some settings because of a bug and it then wouldn't let me load the game anymore. I think I changed the resolution or something.

I still don't understand how that has caused this, considering I have deleted all saved data multiple times and it should have been back to default.

If you are getting an "Anti-cheat" error with Geforce Now, and are unable to open The Isle Evrima due to issues with Geforce Now, try the following.

1. Open The Isle and then close it.
2. There should be a little green cube icon, keep that open and start installing EVRIMA.
3. When the installation finishes, enter Steam's Big Picture mode and open The Isle from there

If you're encountering a "Launch Error - Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" simply verify your game files.

You can do so by right clicking The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.

If the issue persists, adding a firewall exclusion for your entire Isle game folder and then following the steps above should do it.
